never had the honour of playing this game as a child.
for that, i regret my existence being the way it was. thanks for posting this, probaly inappropriate to say, but i almost ejaculated in my pants when i watched this!
I played this game in about 1990 then lost it. I spent years looking for it and gave up then one day i walked into this trade warehouse to buy some office stuff and they had boxes of it stacked up to the ceiling! Thanks for posting and bringing back memories of this great game.
I just realized.... there's only one bathroom in this entire house, lmao.... but hey, this game is awesome. I used to play it with my grandpa all the time when I was like, 6 years old. Used to scare the jeebies outa me!! Thanks for the upload :)
"(I wonder who plays these *unplayable* kind of games anyway)."
You would HATE Dagger of Amon Ra, and not necessarily because it's unplayable, but because you spend about 50% of the game taking notes on an ungodly number of conversations, only to find out you forgot to pick up the red hair by the end of the game, thus making you miss full points.
Wait, did the Amiga version honestly use exactly the same-sounding music as the DOS version? I would've thought the Amiga port used more enhanced music like most Amiga games...
@marzsyndrome They werent Amiga enthusiests at Sierra. They got a project out and the n the turned around and ported it to the other system. which is leaps and bounds higher than some other companies did. Some didnt port at all because DOs was coming on as a OS at the time...
Thank you so much for taking the time to post this! we all appreciate the memories - there is something about old games in that you can suspend your disbelief more. The graphics are too good now.
My favorite computer game ever. Period! Thank you so much for posting it. Please, don't ever take it off. I wish I could get it to work on these newer machines.
Use DOSBOX for the DOS version it runs great or download the Amiga version from Back 2 Roots and play it in WINUAE. (Back 2 Root has gotten legal rights for old Amiga Sierra to be downloaded on their site.)
This is back when Sierra was cool.

Ironically, they had to sample the sounds from the PC version.
It would have been much easier just to take samples from some sample collection and the result whould have been much more pleasant to listen to.

Sierra always had *the* laziest PC->Amiga conversions.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo lazy!
