If this was a cross country trail, how would you rate the difficulty of it's technical trail features? red or black? thinking about doing it next year
well, technically, it's easier than the average UK/IRL DH race but as the quali is at least 30mins long and the mega is an hour longer, fitness and strength are more of an issue than anything else.
Mate sorted us out with an apartment in Oz En Oisans, block was called Chalet des Neiges. highly recommended. Oz is quieter and cheaper than Alpe D'Huez.
Hi. I just used a Fuji FinePix E550 camera. It has a good video mode plus a tripod mount at the bottom. The camera is old and had a broken screen so I just converted it into a helmet cam by drilling a hole in my visor and bolting the camera on :) 2 GB card gives me 40mins of recording time.
Awesome video! The qualifier was sick. I went in 1 heat. My nr was 169. Had a big overbar crash at the top on that wide rocky section.I finished 95th. So I was on the last line in promo final and finished 179th! It was the sickest race ever.
I went off in group 1 and got knocked on my ass on the start line!! Had silver helmet and green jersey. last one left when I got up!! Finishede 133rd out of 200 though!!
Is was no 286 and finished 50th. Had a big crash at the end, landed on my head after losing it under braking for one of those stupid chicanes. Your race sounds like mine last year, started pretty much last and finished around 100th.
