the knicks should have won this series, those suspensions were so lame. not taking anything away from that fine 61 win heat team, but that dumb rule robbed the knicks of the honor to play the bulls in the ecf, the matchup everyone wanted. stern screwed the suns suspending amare and diaw in 07. stern is consistent with the rule though, but it's a horrible rule. you should only be suspended if you make the situation worse, or wont sit back down

NY got all of the calls in Game 5 in '99 and Game 7 in '00, both games that were decided by ONE POINT. If all of the calls were fair in those two deciding games, Miami would have won in 1999 and 2000. Plus we had the better record all four years.
After the Mourning-Hardaway era, we fell, but eventually built ourselves back up to NBA Champions. Then we fell back down last year but we're picking ourselves up YET AGAIN. After the Ewing era, you fell, and...well, still haven't picked yourself up.

the knicks owned the heat in every playoff series back then .. even back in 1997 yea he knicks lost but they never had lj and starks in game 7

LOL Somebody had to fill PJ Brown's shoes? Are you kidding me??? Nice try, Heat organization, for making it seem like the Heat was the team that had an obstacle. I think losing Ewing and Houston for game 6 and LJ and Starks for game 7 over-filled the shoes!!!

Hell yeah, this is how it should have been in 99 and 00, the Heat prevailing in the end.
The Heat got screwed in 99 and 00. The only series I'll admit the Knicks beat us in fairly was 1998. Don't get me wrong, Houston's shot at the end of Game 5 in 1999 was a great shot but there were other calls in that series that screwed Miami over. And if we weren't screwed over in 99, than 2006 might have been our second championship instead of our first.

yo hate to break it to all you heat fans...EVERYONE knows during these playoff rivalry years that the knicks were clearly the better team...much more talent, and much more heart, hence the reason why they beat miami three times in the playoffs, and the you guys beat us once, on some bullshit suspensions...heat fans love making up excuses for loosing to the knicks pretty much every playoff series...sorry guys, NY owned.

True enough, the Knicks were the better team but the Heat had that one element that prevented them from being bounced out of the playoffs that the Knicks didn't and it was HEART!! When you're up 3-1 on a team, you're supposed to close them out and not give them any chance of believing, well the Knicks gave Miami belief and it was them who was bounced out!!

Of course the knicks were a better team,they were playing a one man team.mourning never had a superstar teammate.Yeah hardaway was still a very good player,but past his prime,plus he was never the same after he blew out his knee years before.Who else did zo have with him.a fading majerle?overrated mashburn?cmon

r u kidding me the heat were one of the best defensive teams during the late 90's, they had role players all over teh team. And remember hardaway wuz wut kept the team runnin zo brought the passion, but everyone on the team played hard nosed basketball which is y they won 4 straight divison titles
