  • It probably just means that the fish really was fresh (not "fresh" in scare quotes) and never frozen. That's a good thing, right? It's like when you find happy insects on your organic lettuce and you know they didn't use pesticides on it. Lots of animals have parasites; it's why we cook meat and seafood.

  • @skettcharmstrong ... are you dumb? i'm a butcher and don't have anything to do with fish we deal with meat... i think you mean a fish monger!!!

  • Just extra protein as long as it's cooked properly.

  • @confettistar a swamp dweller speaking

  • Tha'ts it. I'm totally only eating solid root veggies. Nothing fleshy... no more meat. I'm done.

  • @PhantomLyric just to let you know there are just as many parasites found in veggies. true story.

  • it's anisakis, you can found in fresh fish. if you cook the fish ( at least 60 C) it dies, even if you freeze it well it dies.don't eat crude fish, it can be dangerous.

    sorry for the bad english

  • Ask any Californian, and our answer is: Sue the grocery store...

  • Do you happen to know what kind of worm that is? I work in the butcher counter at a store, and I was shocked when I saw a worm crawling on some of our Red Snapper. It looks exactly the same as the on in your video. I showed my manager who told me to just pick off the worm, the fish was fine. ((bullshit)) I threw away the fish anyway after he left. But I want to know what these worms are so I can tell our distributor. I've been searching for the last hour, which is how I found this video. XD

  • @Jessicanana89 my dad used to be a fish cutter when he was young and yes, your supposed to pull them out. Some fish naturally have worms, cant be helped, its where they come from. The people who process the fish are supposed to pull the worms out for you before its good to go. But in your case they probably missed some.

  • @Jessicanana89 god your dumb its normal for fish to have parasites

EVERYTHING LIVING HAS PARASITES, (even humans get them) lol like your boss said your supposed to pull them suckers out before selling and still cooking the meat helps rid of it by killing it, so the fish was fine =____=

seriosuly pick up a book and feed your brain before you come out and sound like a derp LMAO

  • @DarkGoddess666 U mad?

  • @Jessicanana89 I dont remember putting that I was mad o_O

lol where did you get that I was mad XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @DarkGoddess666 Cool story, bro.

  • @Jessicanana89 lol bro

  • yea i kno this dumbass phone fucks ups my words from time to time

  • @holysh1tdubs I said it was normal in fresh fish, not that THIS was fresh fish!

  • get that worm down you extra protein about 24g per scoop.. lol

  • at least we know its fresh

  • There are worms in most living things on earth, including humans. Get over it. Think of all the worms you didn't see that you've eaten.

  • cook that bastard!

  • cook it properly and it dies.

  • i'm glad i'm a vegetarian. i dnt have to worry about things like that

  • @tarawarner implying there are no bugs or feces inside vegetables, or people's dirty hands.

  • @tarawarner typical words from a vegetarian. Nowadays Vegetarianism is just a fucking trend, like people reading teenage vampire novels...

  • @Rolfstunner srsly wtf is up with that all the damn girls are all reading that stuff

  • @laynecaffy I know, my little sister is reading twilight books, the vampire diaries books and True blood books..

She can't read anything other than that now :O

  • @tarawarner Did you ever hear of wroms in apples? lol You have the same chance as anyone.

  • @tarawarner lol

  • @tarawarner lol theres also crap in veggies newb

    1. Pestecides

    2. ANIMAL CRAP AND FROM HUMANS TOO

    3. hidden bugs

    4. parasites

Enjoy your feces I mane veggies XDDDDD

  • i know what that parasite is. It looks like neustrongyloides (parasitic roundworms of fish)

  • AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHH!I'm a pescetarian and I eat fish and I just had raw sushi tonight for dinner!!!!!!!! FUCK!!!!

  • Freshwater fish carry parasites like blood flukes that can be passed on to people if it's not cooked properly. Really nasty, but they can be killed with some very mild chemotherapy.

  • why are you a vegetarian?

  • don't eat sushi!

  • eww i just had fish for dinner

  • least it wasn't in someones face lol..

  • Fresh water fish have worms more often than ocean fish.

  • Their are loads of chemicals in our water these days.

I wouldn't be surprised if I found this in my fish. This is why you cook it, better yet, fry it ;).

  • So this worm just crawled out?

    Lmfaofaggot

  • DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

so it is true. i thought my friend was lying. u do get worms in fresh fish. bleh

  • Niam, tasty!

This is McDonalds Food, am I right? :)

  • that is my child

  • there are worms who live in fish this is probably one of them thats why u shud always boil fish before you eat it

  • "cook" is a better term.....

  • did you go back and asked refund for it?

it could have been a big deal if you ate it and sued them

  • Ahh I found little, clear worms on these sushi eggs. Good thing I found them before anyone ate the sushi.

  • you know what was in that caviar,or as you call it,sushi eggs, was probably unborn fish, lol

  • omg..i feel like t b vegetarian nw..(

  • i read that if you eat lots of fresh papaya it contains an enyzyme (papain) that gets rid of any intestinal parasites for sure - people use it for that purpose i heard. someones bound to know more

  • I'm good.

  • there out there...LOL I got a bug one time in Mexico on some lettuce....I though I was going to crap my self to death before I got rid of it... Months went by..and several doctor visits...It was sucking the life out of me.. I was never so glad to finally end the problem....AND I don`t even know what finally killed it..

I took a year to get my strenght back..

Parasites are the problem in our health...NO..doubt..

  • The meat doesn't look fresh.

  • Who cares if you are veggi? I've found much more worms in lettuce and vegetables than meat.

  • hmmmm I feel soo hungry hahhahaha

  • I noticed vegetarian types seem to always give meat a bad name. My guess is his friend or himself left it to spoil or something.

  • wooooooow... thats a nice nice worm.

  • That fish didn't even look fresh. It was all yellow and dry. I wouldn't of bought that if a butcher offered that crap to me. Matter of fact, it's an insult! You should go back to your local butcher and throw that shit in his ugly ass face! Just don't forget to film it. : ~)

  • Comment removed

  • @skettcharmstrong i think you meant "fish monger" and the yellow is because it has been smoked. looks like a piece of smoked cod or haddock

  • yaaaa let's film it!!!!!!!!!

  • Man I'd be really pissed off.

Unless I was hungry or drunk in which case I'd just grab a frying pan and hope for the best.

  • sue them man sue!!!!!

  • wow u put it there first dumb ass.

  • i wouldnt eat that if

    someone paid me ))

  • wat about if they paid u 100 million dollars???????(even though no1s going 1)?????

  • i wouldve eaten it for that much though i wouldve boiled it killing everything inside it

  • i mean raw like how it is already

  • sashimi anyone? =p

  • the parasite probably tastes like fish since thats wat been feeding from. i would taste the worm.

  • you mean sushi?

    they never cook

    that shit *

  • not true actually. If they serve "uncooked" fish, it is prepared. they flash freeze it for three days, killing any and all parasites. They never just cut a hunk of the catch of the day.

  • Wrong. You are wrong! Sashimi means raw fish. Sushi means rice.

  • mmmmmmmm neutrients =D

  • it ain't gonna kill ya

  • actually it just might

  • sue their asses

  • sue their asses

  • Wow, pansies if this disgusts you go vegan.((No offense if you already are.))

  • saddly being a vegetarian is worse parasitic eggs are all over tomatoes and lettuce and most vegtables they lay eggs in roots and also when the plant is very small.. and tapeworm eggs pest-asides cant kill.

  • This is why I cook my meat

  • just cook it... might be another on inside of it but you get some more protein, and it will be crunchy... cause nothing bad happens, last time i had flour that was 3 months old, i made bannick and ate it... the next day i was gonna make some more, but this time i sifted it... and i saw a whole bunch of maggots...

  • ew that's disgusting!

  • Might sound disgusting but if you only knew where your money has been... That will get you thinking :D

  • I was told that over 250 parasites attack humans.

  • Whats worse than finding a worm in an apple, finding only half a worm.

  • or half an apple

  • Lol good one

  • We're having fish for dinner tonight!!

  • How did it go!

  • Everything you eat has a least a small part of a parasite or an insect, just cook it and enjoy it. When their dead they cant hurt you. :D But it is sick to actually see it. And that is just a little bit to much for me.

  • officialy never buying meat again

  • yeah now I only eat vegies

  • It's not that bad, I mean, it's cooked, burnt to a crisp.

  • Most wild animals are full of small parasites like these, that are harmless when the meat is cooked.........

  • You should've sued the grocery store.

  • sashimi anyone?

  • Hope you didn't eat it. O o

  • this is why you cook it...

  • Cooking it doesn't help the fact that there was a sqiggly in and/or on it.

  • Yes...it kills the worm and you still eat it and gives you some extra protein. You do know you've probably eaten bug larva and haven't even noticed it, because you cooked the meat enough.

  • Thanks, now I feel sick.

  • this is y i dont eat sushi

  • yea smart

u eat only the big pieces instead of the thinly sliced translucent ones

  • i dont eat fish at all

  • parasites are found in everything. fish, pork, beef, vegetables, hell, even soil, water have loads of them.

a thought for you, anything we can eat and draw nutrition from, why wouldn't there be any other life form finding them nutritious?

this is life. the human body isn't that weak anyway.

  • parasites aren't only in fishes though?

  • They're in almost EVERYTHING

  • don't they die if you cook em? xD

  • ...Yes that's what I said

  • Right! =]

  • Did you take it back?

  • "Some people pay extra for that cotton"

  • well...If you cook it well...you have fish and parasite dinner...Good Apetite

  • damn, are people that stupid to sell food that has worms in them? god..

  • yea. Even if they DI know there was a worm in there they probably wouldnt care. all they want is money. They dont give a poop about people.

  • so you're saying if you sell 700 pieces of fish a day, you're going to go through each one with a microscope? I would almost gaurentee you eat at mcdonalds. Im positive you have ingested massive amounts of worms, insects, and so forth, in each 'hamburger' you eat. Don't be fucking ignorant.

  • ew... and... i hate to feel like the only one saying this but... the thing looks like the little dired blood worms food for fish only bigger... and i find that weirdly intresting...

  • this might be fish.

but i think im gonna turn into a vegetarian.

im scared something like this might show up in chicken or pork.

  • Pork definately has these kinda things, its tape worm larvae in pork. The Fish worm thing im not so sure about, I know fish have parasites but they arent usually worms or the likes and usually are found within the digestive systems. But we don't eat that :P I wont eat pork chops due to the larvae thing but i will carry on eating fish.

  • guess it wasn't so fresh

  • SUE THEM BASTARDS

  • parasites can control the minds of their host. There are bird worms that make fish jump so that birds eat them and they can reproduce. food webs are quite controlled.

  • i didnt know that o.o;

    thx

  • and there are parasites that make us humans horny so we can bang each other and reproduce.. quite controlled..

  • brilliant comment ! :D

  • wow thats quite ..eh nasty

  • Cod worms are very common in white fleshed fish. It all comes from the food that they eat in the waters. I go to the Culinary Institute of America and for fish class, we had to pick all those worms out of the fresh fish.

  • my mother hates fish for this reason, anyhow she cooked it very well but first she put in pure lemon juice for one hour and all this parasites come off the fish try it ... of course she does not eat even this cleaned way.

  • You can also freeze your fish for 3 days to -30

  • thats why you cook everything until its piping hot throughout, my house mate is an idiot and he never used to bother cooking properly and then he got food poisoning and was in bed for 2 weeks XD there is justice in the world!

  • Seriously I woulda sued the fuck out of the shop! :O

  • Looks like your getting a refund

  • It really dosen't matter who eat meat , you do know that potatoes have worms and half of the stuff that you eat has something wrong with it.

  • I agree with Mytacoma, this definantly looks like an earth worm.

  • hmmmm..... That will add a bit of extra flavour!

    yeah, thats gross actually

  • I am disgusted!

  • OMG THATS GROSS

  • absolutly discusting

  • In the commercial market, after gutting the fish they use special lights to make any parasites visible. Sometimes a few are missed. If the fish are gutted quickly, the chances of finding large parasites, such as worms, in the flesh of the fish are not very likely. If they wait too long to gut them, some species of parasites will quickly move from the gut to the muscle.

  • the reason I eat at long john silver's not grocery fish

  • They get fish the same way the market does.

COD fish is the most common and thats what most of their fish is. Only difference is some young school kid that don't care dips it in flour and gives it to you.

  • yet this was probaly at some outdoor fish market those worms could have crawled into th efish while it was being packaged

  • damn is it safe to eat anything?

  • That looks like earthworm.

  • omg thats GROSS

  • This has actually happened be4 and is quite common in fish especialy (COD).I would sue if it was me.Or probley burn the place down were i got it from.

  • oh gross...luckily you noticed it before you cooked and ate it!!

  • i agree sue them man

  • Who are they gonna sue, the fish? I'm sure whoever sold the fish didn't put it there on purpose.

  • Oh, right, who cares if beef you were going to eat has mad cow disease, it's not the cow's fault, right?

  • yummy

  • You should take your fish back.

  • just freeze the worm

  • go sue that grocery store lol

  • tape worm

  • Ill buy it

  • i think they'll be doing a little more than refunding that meat.

  • Its natural at certain times of year unfortunatly, I used to work at a fishmongers, Its perfectly normal, You can even eat it if you like!

  • mmmmmmm protein

  • wow even though im asian (filipino) i suggest not eatin sushi cuz it is raw fish, and raw food is not clean. so eat it at ur own risk

  • how does you being asian justify your comment?

  • cuz sushi is japanese food, which is aisan smart 1!

  • oh yeh then i guess all white people are nazis cuz the germans were nazis and they are white

  • im German and we jus hav white skin

  • that probably had nuthing to do with what he just said broomtree, hes talkin about food and u get into nazis

  • dumass u didn't get my point

  • cool im pinoy to!

  • that could be killed by just cooking it but i really think we all should throw it out the window and think "What a piece of shit that fish is!"

  • sick im never eatin fish again

  • people that's delicious yummy more worm the sweeter and more mushier is the meat ...oh worms yum yum..hrrr

  • That's it. I'm a hydroterian from now on. I shall drink only rain and only eat ice off the walls of the freezer.

  • and a little small bacteria called ecoli is much more dangerous....

  • Dude thats normal in fish , If you ever cooked grouper before youd know that you have to pick the black worms out of the fish. As long as you cook it well or with lemon( i dont know if thats works my mom says it does) you shoud be owkay or youll just get some extra time on the toliet seat

  • Posted my comment in the wrong video by mistake. Meant to post in a video about eye worms.

  • I have had a few of these, they die quickly & make your eye itch if you take certain anti-parasitic supplements or eat a lot of garlic. Then after a while they'll come to the surface (your body eliminating the dead waste) & you just lift up your eye lid & pull them out, they should be loose at that point so they just pull out. They are probably intestinal worms that have found their way out of your colon.

  • are you stupid?!? dude, you can get millions of those things INSIDE YOU by eating just one of those.

  • They must have charged extra for that piece of fish-more protein.

  • okay, im going vegetarian

and 2 sew the store, which you can thats hazardous to your health
