The LS series are so much better then the old small blocks,they pound out some big horsepower.Edelbrock also has a belt driven supercharger kit for the corvette,it produces about the same numbers,550-600 hp as the Vortech and has excellent driveablity.
Its okay to like corvettes again,they fiqured it out[GM]if it looks fast,it should be fast.How about the new ZR1,600 plus.Have fun and don't kill yourself.

hey my ls2 has a good size cam ported and polished heads kooks headers and an x-pipe and it dyno'd 422 rwhp i was thinking of supercharging it how much psi is your supercharger and what size? thanks..
What's even more amazing is the torque numbers! 518 rwtq is incredible for a centrifugal s/c! **I wouldn't be surprised if this car runs 132+ mph in the 1/4 mile.** Very nice =)
How much automotive background did you have before this? Basic, intermediate or advanced? I really want this system, and have found it to be one of the most competitively priced systems around that delivers some of the highest numbers. But i dont want to spend the money on install, just want to have a shop tune it. I have basic-intermediate knowledge, if i really read up, is this something you think i could go at alone?
I'd say Intermediate; I had done basic work on previous cars before, but never any engine internals (heads, cams, etc). It is really not as hard as it just is time consuming...
btw, beautiful car. I have been thinking about putting this upgrade on my C6 also. I just broke into the 11's with my mods and now have an itch for 10's.... :) it never stops.... hah.
Oh yeah, of course... I am pushing 10pounds of boost into the motor, it better gain a lot of power :) 600WHP is what most consider safe, but that blower is good to about 700 at the wheels if I up the boost and put a bigger cam in.

Is the stock crank pulley a 7.25"? What kind of boost levels are you seeing?

Stock crank pulley and a 3.8" di pulley on the blower. Its very conservative.

The install took about 3 days. There is a KB BAP; it is mounted on the driver's side rear wheel well.

The supercharger comes with its own intake, and it is a true cold air intake.
You can't install any aftermarket intake on a blower; the configuration is too different.
