  • Not sure about rb on the ipod but on the sansa you hold the right button to boot to the original firmwire.

  • yeah me too

  • can you please tell me how to switch it back to the regular ipod

  • Hold down the center and play button until the apple logo appears (5-7 seconds) once it appears simply flick the hold switch on.

  • thanks alot that helped

  • what if hold button is broken on ipod...?

  • Then um... you can't switch back...

    Sorry bout that

  • could you please tell me how to play videos on rockbox?

  • They need to be mpeg files, create a folder in the root of your iPod called 'Videos'. All you have to do is place your videos in there. Now on your iPod go to the folder you created and select a video to play it.

  • do they need to be mpeg, mpeg-1, mpeg-2 or mpeg-4 files? i tried the mpeg-4 and 1, but they didn't work. also, i think the mpegplayer .rock file is corrupted because is says incompatable version.

  • In all honesty i've never used the mpeg player in rockbox because I just used the original ipod os. I would have thought it would play mpeg1/4 but maybe it is the .rock file so maybe you could re-download? Otherwise you'll just have to see if you can find any documentation on it.

  • oh, okay! thanks for all of your help and quick reply!!!!!

  • hey once you download the movie file use winff to convert it to rockbox format. It's free and works great. Just google winff.

  • yeah i got it but thx anyway
