I was fighting this boss yesterday. This boss was so hard that I came down to my last slice of melon and was extremely close to dying. But I managed to defeat him without losing to him. It was a close call for me.

This is the most annoying boss in DK64. Of course they would make it so that the shockwaves started coming when the stars got closer to the boss.

There is a centain pattern in the positions of the "gates".

30 Close Far Far Far Close

25 Close Close Close Close Close

20 Far Close Far Close Far

15 Far Close Far Close Far

10 Far Mid Far Far Far

Close means right next to to boss, far means next to the edge of the water.

For the last star, just stay put and it reapepars in the same spot, so you don't risk running out of time. You may get hit, but you needn't worry unless you're low on melon health.

@airwalkcrazy360 Nah, you just need good boat control skills which is very easy, this boss is easy I find King Kut out or mad Jack more challenging

@SuperMrBentley The move Puftoss does, similiar to the Kremlings that hold blueprints, where the big blue 'forcefield' thing comes out, always gets me. Even when I am far away, when I think it's gone it still kills me!

@SuperMrBentley I'm using an emulator, so it is probably glitched. But now, I have a glitch where I can't pick up the boss key. That should keep me occupied for a while... *Facepalm*

@airwalkcrazy360 I both played DK64 in the N64 and in an emulator, but that glitch never appeared I suggest you to download the game from other sites, maybe the glitch will not appear

@SuperMrBentley It's not the rom, I quickly activated a cheat and de-activated it, as I was messing around the options, and that's what caused the glitch. I've tried the emulator's forums but I'm getting flamed

Man, i used to love this game so much(and still do)everyone says "Kutout" was the hardest but i dont think so i beat him first try(if i remember right).my fave boss was Dogadon(Forrest version)my least fave was Puftoss cuz it was boring.and coincidentally,my fave level is the Fungi Forrest level and my least fave is Gloomy Galleon
