@jlowrie33 It's possible to strike all the strings if you apply some careful muting of the strings you don't need to play. Most rock/punk guitar players apply this approach, since it gives a riff a more aggressive feel. However, the only notes that sound in this case should be the lower three strings of each power chord shape. Hope this helps!
