Thanks to our dear American friends for once again providing the most ill advised ill informed hilarious rhetoric.
The USA once had the money to entice all the people with the brains across the pond to design & build your Space project. (The Europeans).... Plus your aircraft.
Now we aren't interested as you are bankrupt & you come up with shit like the F22 Raptor (a failed project that in the real world the Typhoon would take out in about 5 seconds), you get sore. Get over it.
@bdenniso It's a very capable fighter that was built to out-manoeuvre and shoot down other fighters. But when was the last time a dog-fight in combat occurred? High production costs outstrip its usefulness. It happens in aviation. We messed up with Concord, it was obsolete economically even before it went into service.
it dont matter what plane it is....the USA has the best pilots in the world. Put them in anything and they will win. proven fact. After all they invented flying.
@beergut111 I am sorry but the RAF is better trained then the USAF. Bigger is not always better. I have done the training to get into the RAF, did not get in because of my eyesight, out of about every 1000 who apply 5-10 get in. Then only 2-3 of those will make the final grade. Just because you invent something does not make it that you are the best at it. Also have you seen all the blue on blue USAF has done?
@beergut111 The USAF does not train the RAF. The RAF does not train the USAF. Maybe when the USAF or RAF come over to use each others planes. Pilots from each nation do go over to the other nation for training, but that is more about experience. My grandad was a pilot in the RAF during WW2. My uncle has just retired from the RAF after 25years serving. Not saying the USAF is bad, but some of the stories make them sound cocky, wreckless and happy triggered.
now WHOOOOO, would rather their country's air force operate any other pane that this!!?? haha i love this sooo much, so proud to be the Largest operator of the Eurofighter !!
americans fought well in the pacific its a fact but Not to save us to save themselfs for if we lost God forbid america could naver fight germany japan italy combined n by then germany would a had jet fighters n possibly the atomic bomb than slavery for all SCARY
eurofighter is the best plane the west has by a long way how good it is against top Russian fighters? who knows but its a lot better than anything america has right now
i love this plane. i wish it would of come out after 2010 so it could be stealth and 5th generation...thats the only downfall of this plane is that its not
@konischev Pay no attention to this talk of generation. It's just a sales pitch. The F-35 for example is meant to be 5th generation whilst EF is 4.5 generation. The actual truth is that the F-35 is less agile, slower and cannot super cruise. EF has PIRATE to detect stealth & uses advanced EW systems such as active cancelation to hide it electronically. Unlike VLO (Stealth), this tech isn't vulnerable in adverse weather conditions. It receives, distorts then sends the signal back out of phase.
@TheARMAProductions ya but the truth is EF is not stealth while other planes like F-22, Pak-FA, J-20 and F-35 are. Like I said I love this plane and it would be way more deadly if it was stealth
Read my comment m8. Stealth (VLO is what u are talking about) is just one way to make the RCS smaller. EF uses electronical means such as Active Cancellation. VLO is no issue for advanced countries to detect as I explained with the PIRATE. This detects the heat of a jet as it moves thru the sky. Jet's like F-22 have to have internal weapon bays meaning they can't carry the latest generation RAM jet missiles:
watch?v=j8KOPzLbdF0
It's a differnt solution to the same problem - survivability
VLO has limitations as I explained with the missiles. It's also ignorant to assume that advanced countries don't have the capability to detect VLO. There would be no point in Europe following the US down the path of VLO. Far better for Europe to follow the high tech sensor/missile philosophy so that NATO covers both doctrines. By the time jets like J-20/PAK-50 go into service, our infa red PIRATE sensors will be even more powerful. You cannot hide the heat that a jet makes as it moves thru space
@TheARMAProductions Well heat is one thing but according to pilots, F-22 can detect any plane in the world long before the enemy knows your in the air and take him out without ever been seen. i heard that statement from F-22 pilots
I would take what pilots say with a pinch of salt my friend. The Pilots at RAF Northolt say the same kinda thing regarding the EF. If you talk to a Russia/India/French etc pilot they'll say he same thing about their adopted jet. EF detected the F-22 from range at Salt Lake:
watch?v=JDfz1dSciGE
As soon as a jet turns it's radar on it sticks out like a boil on a bum. EW systems counter this to sum degree but the actual range at which all these jets can detect/be detected is classified
@TheARMAProductions I dont really rely on the friendly exercises like that to determine real life combat...earlier this year the US performed the same type of exercises against Greece and lost badly..I doubt that would happen in real life. And didn't the RAF perform the same type of exercises against India and their SU-30MKI? and the SU-30 according to RAF pilots gave them a run for their money, and that plane is like 60% less cost and older
ofc but it shows EF can lock on to F-22. U were the one makign assumptions. Neither jet has been tested. The F-22 has major technical issues tho. They were recently grounded due to oxegen problems. Since January, F-22 pilots have been barred from flying above 25,000 feet, following the crash of an F-22 in Alaska during a training flight killing the pilot:
h t t p:/ /w ww . defensenews . com/story . php?i=6916880
EF could just supercruise at 50,000 feet and evoid the F-22 at the moment.
@TheARMAProductions ya i will admit that f-22 does have issues(released to early maybe?)
and it does not look like the f-35 is doing much better with the delayed release dates and costs keep going up. But besides F-22 there is other planes out there that can give EF a good challange such as SU-35, J-10,JAS 39, and Desault Raffale
@konischev Yeah the F-22 is very technical and needs more time/money mate. That's all. If the funds were made available then it would be the no.1 air supremacy fighter because it wouldn't have issues. The US is waiting to see what happens with the F-35. If that's a success it will make up the bulk of the USAF for the coming decades. As for the other jets...they use similar weapons/systems so in a nutshell....yeah there's not allot in them.
@konischev the eurofighter is able to do that, or soon to be able to do that. I think it is called the 'meteor' operating or guidance system. The description was that it could detect and take out other planes before even in visual range. It may be still be in late stages of development, but i think it is a newer version of the one used on the F22
@Pringles352 no not visual range, F-22 can detect other planes long before visual range, EF can be detected however by even 3rd Generation planes like the F-14
OOOOH THE EUROFAGGER BUILT & FLOWN BY BRITISH EUROTARDS
@Pringles352 Oh my Gawd the Eurofagger is such a lame airplane and excuse for a fighter jet! Have U listened to the Passenger,he sounds like he's jerking off, Eurofagger is such a pansy ass plane for wusses and i feel sorry for suckers who bought this bucket of loose nuts and bolts built by incompetent British Trolls. U feel sorry for the pilot that flys this piece of shit with two wings cuz he will die of humiliation & embarassment.
@LottoWinner999 ...........? thank you for your proffessional opinion. How could i guess you were american...Its obvious you know nothing about it - it was designed by 4 european nations, and partially built in each recipient country. I feel sorry for them?? do i? why would i feel sorry for pilots who are privelaged enough to fly such advanced planes?? I seriously dont know why you think its so bad.... probably because you are jealous... and an idiot.
@Yallniggasbetrollin That Typhoon not only has sexy voice it will out fly the Raptor. In air combat tests it has killed the Raptor from long range and it can out fly it in a dogfight. Not my opinion but the on-the-record comment of a US airforce General. The Raptor is too heavy for supersonic cruise, it's avionics do not work, it suffers from over-heating and it's structures especially the stabilisers cannot meet design loads. It is also way over budget and maintenance is too expensive.
Eurofighter DOES NOT HAVE THE FOLLOWING CAPABILITIES: (1) STEALTH, (2) POST-STALL-FLIGHT BY THRUST VECTORING [Jet-Steering], (3) POST-STALL SUPER-AGILITY, (4) AIR-2-GROUND MULTI-TARGET, (5) SURVIVABILITY-SAFETY WHEN CONVENTIONAL AERODYNAMIC FLIGHT CONTROL FAILS, (6) TV-ENHANCED SHORT TAKEOFF/LANDING CAPABILITIES, AS REQUIRED TO JOIN THE NEXT GENERATION FIGHTER AIRCRAFT CLASS. See "FUTURE JET TECHNOLOGIES" by Benjamin Gal-Or, Editor, International Journal of Turbo and Jet Engines. DeGruyter.
artherjob, Is ignorance bliss? The BEF by 13th March 1940 in France and Belgium the BEF was 316,000 men. Dieppe raid, SOE spies, Norway. March 41 UK defends Greece.
UK bombing of Germany started in 1940. (US arrived 1943).
GB had 2.3mn casualties in WW1 - but stood up again in 1939.
Sept 1939 US declaired itself neutral. US enter WW2 only after direct attack.
UK enters WW2 because Germany attacked Poland. Battle of Britian & blitz 1940 - 41 - Was the US, supporting its ally? Ah bliss.
@OlderG0ds We were making a stand against Nazi expansionism. There was nothing we could actually do to save Poland, especially as the USSR was invading from the East and we didn't want to get on their bad side aswell as the Germans.
this thing is the baddest mother fucker in the skies and its massed produced to all EU nations.. The EU is getting closer and closer with one another and producing sum next level tech people are getting scared of what we are producing once we have the skies land and sea will soon follow..
@EMPIRE01233 learn history? burma was 42-45. funny because the japanese invasion got rid of the british, chinese, and indian forces the first year. in fact burma didn't even contribute to the defeat of japan it was basically a sideshow. the only reason the US was there was in order to help china. the japanese stayed there until it was totally irrelevant. yeah thanks for the help with that. at the same time the US led the largest sea invasion in history against germany while also conquering japan
im from the US and i feel sorry that people have to give US a bad name. man i love the military and the typhoon is one sexy fighter. i wish that everyone can just stick to the video instead of starting up arguments.
Okay lets set some things straight for the Americans here, fistly you joined the 1st and 2nd world wars late, during the 1st world war you arrived in Europe unarmed and were forced to borrow from already stretched European armouries, Britain were the real saviours of the war, who was there to meet the Germans head on, the US Army? no it was the BEF, during WW2 we were the only remaining country not to submit to Nazi rule resulting in the Battle of Britain, so don't say US is the greatest
Without the US, Europe would not have been liberated, however, I do not for one minute believe that the UK would have fell victim to Germany. We held them off on our own before the yanks decided to show up! In the words of Al Murray, "If your not in a fight from the start, your werent in the fight at all" ;)
Somewhat flawed thinking we were not in the fight. I mean dont our graves say otherwise? Anyway Churchill was the guy that saved the world, he was the only person to stand and say forget you!! You arent coming in!! It was then Hitler went hmmm, could have gotten a little more than we barganed for. Churchill gave them the finger and made them poor huge resources into trying to break their backs. Right makes might my friend!
@artherjob Actually incorrect. It is said that the US helped shorten the length of the war by 5 or so years but even they had their hands full with the Japanese. It is also said that if the UK, Russians and the rest of Europe were dominated by the Nazi's, the US would'nt of been able to stand against the Axis. The Germans back then hade the largest and most advanced army in the world. They were almost unstoppable. It took every major power to stop them, If anything the Russians were the heros.
I agree, The Germans had the most military might by far! However, the Battle of Britain showed the Germans that they were not invinceable and that the RAF were a force to be wreckoned with! If it were not for a British victory there and then, the rest of the allies would not have stood a chance. The UK was a point in which America, Canada etc could launch their attack against Europe.........but like I said, I dont think the UK would have been invaded! Being an island helps :)
@artherjob Spot on. The German's had the best scientist, especially in Von Braun. Britain couldn't have done it without the help of the allies and they couldn't have done it without Britain. Amazing considering the size of Britain compared to the rest!
I think you've missed my point, yes the battle of Stalingrad was a turning point.........on the Eastern front! But if Britain had fallen in 1940, the Russians would have been the only defence to the Nazi advancement. An attack on Russia would have been rather different if the Germans were mounting attacks from the UK, a swell as the whole of Europe, don't you think?
@artherjob "W"reckoned with? dude, read some history books... britain did jack shit in europe... there were no uk soldiers in europe until SUMMER of 1944... you were in africa, defending ur own interests... when u, americans and canadians sent their forces... at d day... there forces were 17 to 1!!! why? because practically ALL German forces were on the eastern front for 4 years already! the only battle worth mentioning on the western front is battle of bulge... THAT IS IT!
Jack shit.......? Your telling me to read history books!? Yes we were defending African interests as well, of course we fucking was, who else was going to!? I'd hardly call taking the brunt of those German bombs on our home cities day after day during the Blitz while the rest of Europe crumbled around us doing jack shit you in-considerate prick!
@IpMan19 Britain had already started winning battles in the Battle of Britain and they had kicked the Germans out of North Africa, Russia then won Stalingrad that was the true factor in Germany's defeat. America only sped up the victory, the war would of still been won with out them.
@Tommyfungun Yeah but i said Without Russia and USA (mainly Russia) the Germans would have won easily. British and French were and are no match for the Germans. Germany beats them at everything almost.
@TheWarPlanet Yeah and with out Britain the war would of been lost the French were useless, Britain was at one point the only country fighting Germany, Britain was doing ok it beat them in the Battle of Britain and kicked them out of North Africa all before America had even joined. Britain was a match for Germany and beat them in battles a lot.
@Tommyfungun Nah theres no way Britain would have won the war. If you think about it that Russia wouldnt have joined the war, Hitler would have focused his army north and south instead of the east. Britain was no match for Germany they just slowed them down. French are a bunch of pussies that did nothing in the war but die and forfeit.
@TheWarPlanet If you took Britain out of the equation, America would of been fucked, Britain was the only thing stopping Hitler attacking America, Britain played a very vital part in WWII and doesn't get enough credit there was more British troops in the D-Day landings than American. If Britain surrendered like the French where would the D-Day landings take place? then Britain and America wouldn't of been able to start a second front to relieve the Russians in the East.
@Tommyfungun Not a chance, buddy. The US supplied most of the war effort even before officially joining. Just the fact that you call the Soviet Union 'Russia' shows how much you know...
@Tommyfungun That was actually @TheWarPlanet, but whatever. It is incorrect to call them Russia, they weren't Russia- they were the Soviet Union.
Britain did NOT pay for the materials, almost all of it was given completely free of charge, or with token payment (mainly to appease the US public) such as the lease of territory or bases that the US really didn't need anyway. Stalin himself said (and it probably stuck in his craw sideways to do so) that the UN would not have won the war otherwise.
@yujinchia Britain PAID for it's material in one way or another, you were given naval bases in the West Indies for a fleet of 50 old and broken ships which were useless, one of which which we re-named the Campbeltown, which we used to ram a dockyard in France and blow up in order to stop the Germans using it. WWII also brought the USA out of a depression, so the USA was gaining a lot. Britain PAID OFF it's war time debt towards the USA on the 29th of December 2006. End of discussion.
@Tommyfungun Those '50 old and broken ships' (I assume you mean the WWI destroyers) were hardly all that was given. Please get your facts straight. The amount of war materiel given to the UK under lend lease would have bankrupted them if they had to pay for it, and even the amount repaid (which as you said was by 2006... not exactly on delivery) was only a fraction of its actual worth. You're also only considering aid to the UK, not to the USSR or China which was not paid for at all.
@yujinchia Britain paid for it's war materials by 2006. The US and UK signed a deal in which the USA would recieve the money in fifty installments. That's the end of the discussion I don't know why you are trying to rewrite history for. I am talking about the supplies and money the UK recieved I am not interested in China or Russia. Face the facts the UK paid for it's materials and supplies. Don't deny it!!
@Tommyfungun You are the one rewriting history, pal. The US couldn't supply Britain for free because that would violate neutrality laws. So these nations were charged a token sum that was not even paid on delivery. If I 'sold' you my car for 10% of its present value paid 50 years from now, would you call that a purchase? No, it's a gift. And btw, Britain/USSR/China were all in the same deal. Go google lend lease and read for yourself.
@yujinchia Dont call it a gift. The US did not give freely. You have been paid back.not only in monetary terms but we gave the US a lot of technology as part of pay back. Why did the US wait for almost 2 years before entering the war?
@banoffee2001 It wasn't given freely but it was given at such a stupidly low rate that it was a gift. You clearly didn't read what I wrote earlier. What technology pay back are you speaking of? The Germans are the ones that gave us all the tech :P
As for the US waiting 2 years before entering the war, the US was not a signatory to any European defense pact. There was no obligation to do so, and public opinion was against it.
@yujinchia I did read your comment. Nothing comes free.Germans account for your space programme. But whilst other germans faced war crime charges...USA just whisked them away.Double standards.
UK gave the US technology which enabled you to break sound barrier. Was supposed to be an exchange of info..but the US renegaded on the deal. Just an example
@banoffee2001 The UK gave the US technology to break the sound barrier? Seriously?
Okay, smart guy, if that were true then why didn't the UK do it first?
German scientists contributed more to that than the UK as well, and BTW if the US didn't take them the Soviets would have. Would you rather they had all that talent?
@yujinchia Yes I am serious.Britain had its own programme running for going supersonic but because of finances we gave up and gave you all our spec.. You are typical american,,,you dont dare to scratch beneath the surface in case you find something you dont like.Go check it out. But you wont will you.
Typical apple pie dumb shit arrogant prick. US less than 300 years old..and you invented the world.
@yujinchia Look up Miles 52. We cancelled our programme and sent all data to bell in 1946
This allowed the US become the first 'through the barrier', in October 1947, using the Bell built M.52 look alike, the XS-1. Also, the Rolls Royce Derwent engine appeared in the USA as the General Electric Type 1........ Go fuck yourself
@banoffee2001 And you are a typical foul-mouthed Brit that gets all worked up about stupid things and goes off on wild tangents. We weren't even talking about tech transfer until you just randomly brought it up. Go hit the alehouse again tool.
@yujinchia Oh..these are stupid things now are they? You were so cock sure about the supersonic issue werent you? You stated..germans gave you all the technology. Hardly a wild tangent. You dont really have much of a come back do you little man?
@banoffee2001 So you're saying the UK gave us some tech? Big whoop, you think the US never gave the UK any tech in return? How about nuclear weapons you're STILL using today, just for starters? People that just change the subject and start shooting off 4-letter words are, in my experience (a) wrong, and know it and (b) too dumb or proud to admit it.
@yujinchia Interesting comment about neuclear weapons. The reason you gave us that technology was that you gave the nazi animals from the concentration camps immunity from prosecution. Something you Yanks should be real proud of.
@bampie1 What the hell does this have to do with Nazis in concentration camps? What do you mean we gave them immunity from prosecution? You're not even making sense.
The Internet was a product of DARPA. You gave us DNA? LoL? Even if everything you said is correct, saying you 'gave' the USA this stuff doesn't make sense- it was merely invented there. Well, I've got some news for you- stuff has been invented in the US too, and pretty much everywhere else.
@yujinchia We were not prepared to ignore the murder of millions of people in concentrations camps to get the technology, you were. Put it another way if you laid all the people murdered in concentration camps end to end they would reach the moon. Was that really a price worth paying for the US, it seems so, not in my book but then I can see a world that stretches further than the borders of my own country.
@yujinchia Nuclear weapons were designed by German scientists you fool, the first space craft were also designed by german scientists. Just because they were in your captivity, doesn't mean that it's an American invention.
@yujinchia The only thing that stopped the US from breaking the sound barrier was a moveable tailplane and yes we gave you that along with the computer, TV, the internet, the jet engine, catapillar track, DNA etc. You rescued a bunch of murdering Nazi bastards from the concentration camps you must be so proud.
@WickyWiggstaz Nuclear weapons designed by German scientists? You're kidding right? Seriously, just stop- I'm seriously embarrassed for you just reading this.
You didn't pay 'dearly' for anything, and it was more than just tanks. Seriously, do they even teach history there?
@yujinchia Yep German scientists. look at their names and read their bios; hardly a yank among them. Also you didn't "give" us nuclear weapons, we tested and built our own in the early 50s. That's like us saying we gave you the tank. Lend lease was mainly tanks and munitions. And don't forget that the British Empire gave reciprocal aid to the USA.
What do we learn in history? Alot more than what you do probably. Our educational system doesn't go by hollywood movies
@WickyWiggstaz The UK uses the Trident II D5 ICBM for their entire nuclear deterrent now, which is a US-made weapon. Before that it used Polaris, also US-made. And you, sir, should go look up the Manhattan Project and see the list of scientists on it. They weren't all American, but they certainly weren't all German. They obviously teach you revisionist history in school, because you don't know jack kiddo...
@yujinchia And you really needn't tell me about Britain's place as a US ally now, I know, I'm in the British Army I've served along side the Americans in both Iraq and Afghanistan. That's right, I'm no child, so you can stop patronising me for starters. I know a hell of a lot more than you assume. We learn history from a neutral source. You cannot slag our educational system, when yours produces people who can't even point the USA out on the fucking map.
@yujinchia And that's the truth of it. Having seen from first hand experience I can tell you that the reason the United States has seen over 4,000 of it's personnel return in "crates". They get fed all this bullshit about being the best of the best of the best of the best and get into theatre with a dipshit attitude that they're just going to rack up 100 kills like on CoD, only to feel the sting of reality slapping them in the face. With America at the helm, the WORLD is fucked.
@WickyWiggstaz Dude, 4k casualties fighting multiple wars is miniscule. Yes, it's a lot for recent times but compare that to the last major wars and you'll see it's absolutely one-sided now. What makes you think we're all just video game junkies that don't know how to fight?
Actually NATO is stronger than ever now and the ironic thing is most of the newer former east-bloc countries are just as willing to pitch in as the old ones.
@yujinchia 4,000 casualties is minuscule to previous wars true, but in previous wars you have fought against people with decent weaponry, even in Vietnam they were armed with comparable kit in most areas. The fact that we are fighting a bunch of men in flip flops (no jokes, the majority are in fact wearing sandals). What makes me think they are video gaming junkies? Well when they turn up in theatre a great deal of them talk about their future tour as if it's going to be 1 big game.it's not
@WickyWiggstaz 4,000 casualties in multiple conflicts? Just training accidents and routine ops produce close to that many, and in fact that's what a lot of those come from even in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. It doesn't get headlined because it's not as exciting. You can have massively superior weapons but when you're going door to door, it doesn't matter a whole lot. As for new recruits talking about it like a game, well to them it is! They're green kids, what do you expect?
@yujinchia New recruits? I'm talking about the people arriving in Afghanistan. The whole point of basic and pre-op training is to beat that idea out of soldiers. To think it's a game is complacent, to be complacent in an area such as upper garesh or sangin is to put your life in mortal danger. No one should be sent to an operation theatre of war until they can at least grasp that much. It not only endangers their lives, but as a liability also puts the lives of their units in danger.
@yujinchia In Iraq there were a load of nations that turned up in 2003, but they were not operating in kenetic operations. On paper it looks like NATO working together, on the ground though it was the British and Americans fighting it out up front
@WickyWiggstaz Yeah, but as you pointed out earlier NATO's two frontline powers have always been the UK and US, so that pretty much is a NATO op isn't it? A lot of the other member nations sent non-combat support, but most of the 'coalition' members were just for show. Didn't want to make it look like a crusade after all, that just gives the jihadis more fuel. So we staged out of Uzbekistan and had Pakistan nominally supporting (but we all know they actually sympathize with them).
@yujinchia But we're not the only ones. France, Germany, Italy and Spain all have well equipped armed forces (all 3 branches) and could contribute alot, but they don't because they don't agree with what we're doing. If the majority of NATO doesn't agree with an operation enough to jump in with us, then it's not a NATO operation, it becomes a coalition. The US and UK are operation outside of NATO they brand themselves as NATO troops because it's an umbrella to politically shield themselves with.
@yujinchia Look, you are clearly interested in this (or at least seem to be) why don't you pm me, and we can stop spamming the shit out of this comment box (which is about the eurofighter).
@WickyWiggstaz Heh ok, though I doubt anyone would care either way. Came to this to see it in action; got a model of it sitting on my desk. Hot looking jet, to be sure.
@WickyWiggstaz As for the British Empire giving aid... you mean that pitiful assistance in the Pacific? There's a good reason the British Empire doesn't exist anymore, you got steamrolled in that theater. Yes, you're probably the strongest US ally now and that's appreciated, but since 1942 it's been the US as the senior partner. And that goes for both sheer military power and tech.
@yujinchia pitiful assistance? Fuck you, without that food your marines would have been a little more than fucked. Do you realise how much of an arsehole you come across? I'm sick of people like you lording over us, you think that because we are a small nation, we're not worth 2 cents, well we've had alot more success on planet earth than you have or ever will have. Look forward to the Chinese overtaking, it'll really take the wind out of your fucking sails
@WickyWiggstaz Hope there aren't more morons like you around or NATO is finished. Ignorant, stupid, proud, and probably drunk- pretty much sums up the state of things eh?
@yujinchia NATO IS finished you dick, look around, when is the last time NATO actually did something in unison? Afghanistan and Libya don't count as each nation has approached the issue from it's own viewpoint as opposed to the mutual viewpoint of one military body.
"NATO troops" when spoken of these days pretty much means British or American, who else do you see pulling their finger out? As for ignorant, stupid and proud,? Well hey, you've just summed up America and it's forces
@yujinchia And thirdly, why aren't you addressing the ignorant, stupid, proud Americans in this chain of comments....there's enough of them there. My theory? You just don't like England or the British people, I suppose there are enough of you in that country who don't, I've seen both on my travels there. In my experience it tends to be the Southern Republicans who are the most friendly to us, hence my friendbase in the US stems from there. So what's the story? Irish American?
@WickyWiggstaz I have nothing against British people. I've worked with them, have quite a few Brit buddies in fact. I just don't like people like you that think the British invented everything that's good in the world and that the sun still never sets on the British Empire (get real, it's over). And just to hammer the point home, you couldn't be more wrong- I'm 1st gen. Chinese American. You talk about China taking over- sure they will, and you'll be the next target.
@yujinchia I don't think everything was invented by Britain, it wasn't. I don't think that the Sun is always shining on the British Empire, as the Empire is now a commonwealth. I equally have nothing against the greater American public (asides from the fact that the majority know fuck all about what is outside their own state) however I'm sick of coming onto videos and seeing some yank blabbing on about America saving the planet...it was a TEAM effort. The UK is not a target for the Chinese
@WickyWiggstaz UK might not be an immediate target due to how far away it is now, but don't forget your allies. Japan is a NATO member, as is S. Korea. Australia and parts of S.E. Asia are part of the Commonwealth. Things blow up there, you're obligated to throw in. If they somehow neutralized the US, they'd effectively control all of Asia and Oceania. Never said America saved the planet, but neither could the UK have weathered WW2 alone, as some here indicated. That was what I took umbrage to.
@yujinchia I appreciate that, but consider that in reverse. Could America have survived without the British or the Russians? The president didn't seem to think so.
Germany however could not break the back or morale of the British people. Hitler said it himself. The Navy was too powerful for a marine invasion and parachuting troops in wouldn't have done much as they couldn't have been supported. We were beating them in Africa before you turned up, we just needed supplies and time to recoup
@WickyWiggstaz the truth is america helped a lot by attacking japan after pearl harbour But the two most important battles in WW2 where the battle of Britain n the battle of stalingrad close 3rd Monty beating Rommel the us rangers also fought very well in the landing in normandy but the landings would never have happened if the RAF didn't win or the Russians didn't in stalingrad
@artherjob Yeah your totally right, even if Germany defeated the RAF they would then had to beat the worlds most powerful and largest navy that being the Royal Navy guarding the English channel, even then they would of not stood a chance. Invading Britain was near enough impossible.
We really don't know that to be the absolute truth but most likely your right. Some would say that the 2nd great war would have been much longer also giving acount if Germany would not have invaded the USSR.
Probably 10 years are so.
The same Could have been said regaurding the American Civil War. If General Lee won the battle of Gettysberg, would have been a done deal for the South. But we don't know that.
Your right sir. All I meant by that comment is England was a landing pad for the allies to stage their attacks. Without that, like you said, the war would have continued for many more years. Its a credit to the "international" pilots who battled for the RAF during the battle of Britain.
Right I hear the Canadian & Australian pilots did a hellova job, and so did the U.S Army Air Core since who made up the bulk load during the d-day invasion.
@NANOFORGE you wish, go learn about german-soviet agreements and much more behind it. 7 millions of ukrainians were starved to death to feed nazi army.
@NANOFORGE dude the US alone was capable of polverising the German's. Just because the US was distracted by the Japanese and arrived late does not mean the Germans were strong.
@RobertsDigital No the US were not, The Japanese themselves were giving the US a hard enough time and German U-Boats were batting the shit out of US ships. The US helped end the war but they did'nt have the strengh nor the numbers to take on the Germans by themselves.
@RobertsDigital Like I said, the Russians and Churchill were the real heros as they were the only ones that actually had the balls to say fuck off to Hitler from day one, unlike the US. The US for the majority of the war sent supplies across the atlantic to help the UK and the Russians and this involved most of their ships getting torn appart by U-Boats, it was until they got their arses handed to them at Peral Harbor when they actually got off their arses and helped with blood, sweat and tears.
@RobertsDigital And to say the US would pulverize the Germans is utter bullshit, absolute boolshet. I take it your American. In the end the US had to nuke the Japanese to beat them because their deaths were too high, The US did'nt have a force even close enough to "pulverize" the Germans. lol.
@NANOFORGE The Japanese were essentially defeated by the time the bomb was dropped. the air force was running out of targets by that time. I think the bomb decision was more for the Russians. I also don't think thhe bomb had that much influence on the Japanese decision to surrender, I think what the Japanese really feared was Russia entering the war, perhaps they hoped they could keep Korea.
@ChannelingusXIV The nuclear bomb was also dropped on a huge, industral, economic and mlitary hot spot to. It was a wise choice for the US to drop the bomb on Hiroshima, an action I approve becuas eit helped save more lives that it took. The US took the less casulties due to the fact they entered the war later than the UK and the Russians.
@NANOFORGE yeah yeah bla bla bla. Dude you are British. During WWII before we entered the war we provided you with military weapons, including fighter aircrafts to fight against the Germans. Without our help or the russians you brits would have been crushed to bits by hitler and just because we keep silent does not mean we dont know dude so chill out. The UK still uses some of our weaponry today including the f35 which they have already ordered. Quit giving credit to Germans you confused Brit.
@RobertsDigital Yes I am British but I don't think we are brilliant, yes the British are flawed and have a bad history aswell as a good one. I am not giving any credit to the Germans, They simply were the largest and most powerful force in WWII, they had the best technology by far. Hiter was a complete douche bag though. Yes if the US would'nt o joined the Russians and the Uk would of been crushed, that was ovbious. However the Americans were not capabel of taking the Germans on their own.
@RobertsDigital Confused Brit?, I love the hatred you Americans have for us British, Why, it makes no sense. You need to show us Brits more respect because it was our nation that actually discovered and colonized America with our own money in it's early days. Your nation would'nt exist if it was'nt for the UK, show more respect. Plus I am chilled out, however patriotic bullshit like the US could beat the Germans on their own annoys me, the US could not actually.
@NANOFORGE I hate how the British think everyone owes them so much respect!!! To tell you the truth, we owe our thanks to the French for us being our own country. What the British had planned for the colonies is nowhere near what it is today. They never invested that money in order for us to be our own country. It was the wise men of that time that wanted to get away from the monarchy. The French were just on time to help us defeat the "Red Coats." Best of friends now but not then.
@RobertsDigital The US also uses some of our weaponry and technology today aswell which includes the Harrier which makes sense seeing that the US is our ally as is evey other nation in Europe. Stop making out that the US is superior to everyone else, the fact is you are not. Pearl Harbor porved this as did the 9/11 retaliation. America is not as powerful as you think it is, the US is not unbeatable nor is it at all untouchable. The Russians also have nukes far more powerful than the US's aswell.
@NANOFORGE Your saying that two surprise attacks on our soil is a means to judge military prowess? Russia does not have nuclear weapons more powerful or advanced than the US. And yes the the only way anyone could get to the US through military means is through Europe or the Pacific so maybe you should start scolding the russians and chinese.
@NANOFORGE We are superiour in technoligy. The Harrier is old tech just like it is old to say look at Pearl Harbor. We are a different military today than back then. Now you use the F-35 (Ordered) the Apache Helocopter, the Sea King, C-17, an other US equiptment. It is OK to say we are superior when talking about equiptment but person to person there is no such thing as superior to each other. All are equal. No family is better than another!
@NANOFORGE AMEN! I have been living in the UK for two years and the British people are for the most part nice. There are a few who don't like the fact that a "Yank" family lives in their villiage but they are few and far between. Our contries have gone from enemies (Our Revoluntionary War) to probably the greatest friendship (Alliance) of any two countries. People need to learn from what our countries have accomplished.
@anmrivera The revoluntionary war happened to long ago to actually matter anymore. However you do get idiots who hold on to pointless things like that, Black people for example (And I'm not being racist before anyone starts) still hold onto hatred towards the white man dispite they have had the same rights for nearly half a century, not all Black people fell like this though of course. Yes people need to move, learn and work together. The ISS is an example of every nation working together.
@RobertsDigital, dude rember we also gave you technology, like the rolls royce merlin engine and the jet engine,
The nazi couldn't have invaded because we gained air supremacy in 1940 during the battle of britian stopping hilter crossing the channel (operation sea lion), america joined the war in 1941, The Royal Navy when have also prevent hilter invading.
If you dont think the germans had a superior military where do you think NASA came from? German Scientists and the V2 rocket
@supermanicabc Britain would have triumphed in WW1 without the US, the German political resolve was weakening. As for WW2, the Germans didn't have the capacity to actually invade our Island, that would have bought us sufficient time to rearm and re-equip. We wouldn't have liberated Europe though without the US. Russia would have probably beaten Germany, if not I could honestly see Hitler gaining what he wanted and that was a truce with the British Empire. Who knows? Bad times
@WickyWiggstaz In WW1 yes, you're probably right. In WW2, highly debatable whether Great Britain would have survived without US intervention even in Europe. In the Pacific, it was already over by the middle of 1941- and with that went pretty much all of the British Empire. Hitler wanted the whole world if that wasn't obvious- he'd sign a 'truce' with anyone; remember he did that with the USSR to divide Poland, then promptly invaded them.
@yujinchia To continue: I never said the Americans can't fight. They can, I have seen them and they throw themselves into it as much as anyone else. But its the way they conduct their operations and the way individuals conduct themselves that see so many of them return home draped in the stars and stripes. Honestly, I find it quite sad. Onto your comment of NATO, it is not as strong as ever. What you see in Iraq and Afghan is a Coalition not NATO. I do however agree about the Ex USSR nations.
@WickyWiggstaz Afghanistan is a NATO operation even if it's on paper a coalition. It was a direct result of the 9/11 attacks which is the first time NATO's mutual defense clauses were activated. Iraq pretty much the same story, though reduced to only a part of NATO because it wasn't agreed by everyone that Iraq did anything to warrant it. Not sure what you mean by conduct of ops? These places filled with suicide bombers and insurgents are very hard to deal with, no matter what you do.
@TheMightyHartley oh you mean before the US even entered the war? even tho the UK was getting a ton of supplies from us. and I don't recall much help with the entire country of Japan for that matter
@GoDematha You don't want to tell me that "Made in USA" is a synonyme for good products? If the F22 wastes as much gas as your cars I don't wonder why Obama stopped the program. Remember: Eurofighter= serial production, F22=no serial Production. And fuck the stealth technology. It might be good for Bombers but Fighters need armor for close combat. One SU-47 and its heavy cannons and the f22 is history
@MrRammsteinKicksAss Your a tard. "One SU-47 and its heavy cannons and the f22 is history". How can the SU-47 even engage the F-22 if it cant see it? Thats the purpose of stealth you retard, enemies dont even know you exist. Id rather be in an F-22 than a non stealthly aeropace any day of the week. GTFO of here if you cant post anything worthwhile.
@blablubb12345 And thats why nothing could beat an F-22. Forget the dogfight, the F-22 would have shot the plane down before a dogfight can even happen.
Without HOBS missiles and a helmet mounted cueing system, whick the current F22 doesn't have, i wouldn't be too sure about that. At BVR distances, the F22 sure has the advantages on it's side with a very low radar signature and high supersonic performance.
@MrRammsteinKicksAss The whole mission of the F-22 is to avoid the dogfight before it happens. It is designed to be an air superiority fighter. If the pilot gets into a close Air to Air fight he has failed his mission. He takes out the enemy before the enemy knows he is there. The F-15 (perfect air to air ratio) is for air to
Thanks to our dear American friends for once again providing the most ill advised ill informed hilarious rhetoric.
MegaVector2011 1 month ago
@MegaVector2011 what... the raptor is an amazing jet, your ignorant. It's not a failed project at all, they just stop producing more for service.
bdenniso 1 week ago
@bdenniso It's a very capable fighter that was built to out-manoeuvre and shoot down other fighters. But when was the last time a dog-fight in combat occurred? High production costs outstrip its usefulness. It happens in aviation. We messed up with Concord, it was obsolete economically even before it went into service.

it dont matter what plane it is....the USA has the best pilots in the world. Put them in anything and they will win. proven fact. After all they invented flying.
beergut111 2 months ago
@beergut111 I am sorry but the RAF is better trained then the USAF. Bigger is not always better. I have done the training to get into the RAF, did not get in because of my eyesight, out of about every 1000 who apply 5-10 get in. Then only 2-3 of those will make the final grade. Just because you invent something does not make it that you are the best at it. Also have you seen all the blue on blue USAF has done?
xStarSkiix 2 months ago
@xStarSkiix who do yo think trained the raf? out of 1000 pilots apply at the air force, no more than 3 make it.
Im retired USAF, the stuff we had 20 years ago that is still classified would blow your mind.
beergut111 2 months ago
@beergut111 The USAF does not train the RAF. The RAF does not train the USAF. Maybe when the USAF or RAF come over to use each others planes. Pilots from each nation do go over to the other nation for training, but that is more about experience. My grandad was a pilot in the RAF during WW2. My uncle has just retired from the RAF after 25years serving. Not saying the USAF is bad, but some of the stories make them sound cocky, wreckless and happy triggered.

i love this plane. i wish it would of come out after 2010 so it could be stealth and 5th generation...thats the only downfall of this plane is that its not
konischev 4 months ago
@konischev Pay no attention to this talk of generation. It's just a sales pitch. The F-35 for example is meant to be 5th generation whilst EF is 4.5 generation. The actual truth is that the F-35 is less agile, slower and cannot super cruise. EF has PIRATE to detect stealth & uses advanced EW systems such as active cancelation to hide it electronically. Unlike VLO (Stealth), this tech isn't vulnerable in adverse weather conditions. It receives, distorts then sends the signal back out of phase.
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
@TheARMAProductions ya but the truth is EF is not stealth while other planes like F-22, Pak-FA, J-20 and F-35 are. Like I said I love this plane and it would be way more deadly if it was stealth
konischev 3 months ago
Read my comment m8. Stealth (VLO is what u are talking about) is just one way to make the RCS smaller. EF uses electronical means such as Active Cancellation. VLO is no issue for advanced countries to detect as I explained with the PIRATE. This detects the heat of a jet as it moves thru the sky. Jet's like F-22 have to have internal weapon bays meaning they can't carry the latest generation RAM jet missiles:
watch?v=j8KOPzLbdF0
It's a differnt solution to the same problem - survivability
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
VLO has limitations as I explained with the missiles. It's also ignorant to assume that advanced countries don't have the capability to detect VLO. There would be no point in Europe following the US down the path of VLO. Far better for Europe to follow the high tech sensor/missile philosophy so that NATO covers both doctrines. By the time jets like J-20/PAK-50 go into service, our infa red PIRATE sensors will be even more powerful. You cannot hide the heat that a jet makes as it moves thru space
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
@TheARMAProductions Well heat is one thing but according to pilots, F-22 can detect any plane in the world long before the enemy knows your in the air and take him out without ever been seen. i heard that statement from F-22 pilots
konischev 3 months ago
I would take what pilots say with a pinch of salt my friend. The Pilots at RAF Northolt say the same kinda thing regarding the EF. If you talk to a Russia/India/French etc pilot they'll say he same thing about their adopted jet. EF detected the F-22 from range at Salt Lake:
watch?v=JDfz1dSciGE
As soon as a jet turns it's radar on it sticks out like a boil on a bum. EW systems counter this to sum degree but the actual range at which all these jets can detect/be detected is classified
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
@TheARMAProductions I dont really rely on the friendly exercises like that to determine real life combat...earlier this year the US performed the same type of exercises against Greece and lost badly..I doubt that would happen in real life. And didn't the RAF perform the same type of exercises against India and their SU-30MKI? and the SU-30 according to RAF pilots gave them a run for their money, and that plane is like 60% less cost and older
konischev 3 months ago
ofc but it shows EF can lock on to F-22.
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
@TheARMAProductions ya i will admit that f-22 does have issues(released to early maybe?)
and it does not look like the f-35 is doing much better with the delayed release dates and costs keep going up. But besides F-22 there is other planes out there that can give EF a good challange such as SU-35, J-10,JAS 39, and Desault Raffale
konischev 3 months ago
@konischev Yeah the F-22 is very technical and needs more time/money mate. That's all. If the funds were made available then it would be the no.1 air supremacy fighter because it wouldn't have issues. The US is waiting to see what happens with the F-35. If that's a success it will make up the bulk of the USAF for the coming decades. As for the other jets...they use similar weapons/systems so in a nutshell....yeah there's not allot in them.
TheARMAProductions 3 months ago
@konischev the eurofighter is able to do that, or soon to be able to do that. I think it is called the 'meteor' operating or guidance system. The description was that it could detect and take out other planes before even in visual range. It may be still be in late stages of development, but i think it is a newer version of the one used on the F22
Pringles352 3 months ago
@Pringles352 no not visual range, F-22 can detect other planes long before visual range, EF can be detected however by even 3rd Generation planes like the F-14

NANOFORGE 11 months ago
@NANOFORGE

@IpMan19 Britain had already started winning battles in the Battle of Britain and they had kicked the Germans out of North Africa, Russia then won Stalingrad that was the true factor in Germany's defeat. America only sped up the victory, the war would of still been won with out them.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@Tommyfungun Without USA and Russia, Germany would have won the war.
TheWarPlanet 8 months ago
@TheWarPlanet Without the USA the war would of still been won, Russia was fighting 85% Germany's army in the East.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@Tommyfungun Yeah but i said Without Russia and USA (mainly Russia) the Germans would have won easily. British and French were and are no match for the Germans. Germany beats them at everything almost.
TheWarPlanet 8 months ago
@TheWarPlanet Yeah and with out Britain the war would of been lost the French were useless, Britain was at one point the only country fighting Germany, Britain was doing ok it beat them in the Battle of Britain and kicked them out of North Africa all before America had even joined. Britain was a match for Germany and beat them in battles a lot.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@Tommyfungun Nah theres no way Britain would have won the war. If you think about it that Russia wouldnt have joined the war, Hitler would have focused his army north and south instead of the east. Britain was no match for Germany they just slowed them down. French are a bunch of pussies that did nothing in the war but die and forfeit.
TheWarPlanet 8 months ago
@TheWarPlanet If you took Britain out of the equation, America would of been fucked, Britain was the only thing stopping Hitler attacking America, Britain played a very vital part in WWII and doesn't get enough credit there was more British troops in the D-Day landings than American. If Britain surrendered like the French where would the D-Day landings take place? then Britain and America wouldn't of been able to start a second front to relieve the Russians in the East.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@TheWarPlanet Yeah Britain would not of been able to defeat Germany your right, but Germany couldn't defeat Britain either.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@Tommyfungun Not a chance, buddy. The US supplied most of the war effort even before officially joining. Just the fact that you call the Soviet Union 'Russia' shows how much you know...
yujinchia 7 months ago
@yujinchia Britain paid for it's war materials so don't act like you were doing it out of good will!!
You can use Russia or Soviet Union, don't try and be a smart ass....
Hitler's plans went tits up after Battle of Britain and Stalingrad, not because America joined.
America done a lot in the Pacific theatre but Europe was more of a Russian and British achievment
Tommyfungun 7 months ago
@Tommyfungun That was actually @TheWarPlanet, but whatever. It is incorrect to call them Russia, they weren't Russia- they were the Soviet Union.
Britain did NOT pay for the materials, almost all of it was given completely free of charge, or with token payment (mainly to appease the US public) such as the lease of territory or bases that the US really didn't need anyway. Stalin himself said (and it probably stuck in his craw sideways to do so) that the UN would not have won the war otherwise.
yujinchia 7 months ago
@yujinchia Britain PAID for it's material in one way or another, you were given naval bases in the West Indies for a fleet of 50 old and broken ships which were useless, one of which which we re-named the Campbeltown, which we used to ram a dockyard in France and blow up in order to stop the Germans using it. WWII also brought the USA out of a depression, so the USA was gaining a lot. Britain PAID OFF it's war time debt towards the USA on the 29th of December 2006. End of discussion.
Tommyfungun 7 months ago
@Tommyfungun Those '50 old and broken ships' (I assume you mean the WWI destroyers) were hardly all that was given. Please get your facts straight. The amount of war materiel given to the UK under lend lease would have bankrupted them if they had to pay for it, and even the amount repaid (which as you said was by 2006... not exactly on delivery) was only a fraction of its actual worth. You're also only considering aid to the UK, not to the USSR or China which was not paid for at all.
yujinchia 7 months ago
@yujinchia Britain paid for it's war materials by 2006. The US and UK signed a deal in which the USA would recieve the money in fifty installments. That's the end of the discussion I don't know why you are trying to rewrite history for. I am talking about the supplies and money the UK recieved I am not interested in China or Russia. Face the facts the UK paid for it's materials and supplies. Don't deny it!!
Tommyfungun 7 months ago
@Tommyfungun You are the one rewriting history, pal. The US couldn't supply Britain for free because that would violate neutrality laws. So these nations were charged a token sum that was not even paid on delivery. If I 'sold' you my car for 10% of its present value paid 50 years from now, would you call that a purchase? No, it's a gift. And btw, Britain/USSR/China were all in the same deal. Go google lend lease and read for yourself.
yujinchia 7 months ago
@yujinchia Dont call it a gift. The US did not give freely. You have been paid back.not only in monetary terms but we gave the US a lot of technology as part of pay back. Why did the US wait for almost 2 years before entering the war?
banoffee2001 5 months ago
@banoffee2001 It wasn't given freely but it was given at such a stupidly low rate that it was a gift. You clearly didn't read what I wrote earlier. What technology pay back are you speaking of? The Germans are the ones that gave us all the tech :P
As for the US waiting 2 years before entering the war, the US was not a signatory to any European defense pact. There was no obligation to do so, and public opinion was against it.
yujinchia 5 months ago
@yujinchia I did read your comment. Nothing comes free.Germans account for your space programme. But whilst other germans faced war crime charges...USA just whisked them away.Double standards.
UK gave the US technology which enabled you to break sound barrier. Was supposed to be an exchange of info..but the US renegaded on the deal. Just an example
banoffee2001 5 months ago
@banoffee2001 The UK gave the US technology to break the sound barrier? Seriously?
Okay, smart guy, if that were true then why didn't the UK do it first?
German scientists contributed more to that than the UK as well, and BTW if the US didn't take them the Soviets would have. Would you rather they had all that talent?
yujinchia 5 months ago
@yujinchia Yes I am serious.Britain had its own programme running for going supersonic but because of finances we gave up and gave you all our spec.. You are typical american,,,you dont dare to scratch beneath the surface in case you find something you dont like.Go check it out. But you wont will you.
Typical apple pie dumb shit arrogant prick. US less than 300 years old..and you invented the world.
banoffee2001 5 months ago
@banoffee2001 Whatever, you troll.
yujinchia 5 months ago
@yujinchia You just got owned....asshole
banoffee2001 5 months ago
@yujinchia Look up Miles 52. We cancelled our programme and sent all data to bell in 1946
This allowed the US become the first 'through the barrier', in October 1947, using the Bell built M.52 look alike, the XS-1. Also, the Rolls Royce Derwent engine appeared in the USA as the General Electric Type 1........ Go fuck yourself
banoffee2001 5 months ago
@banoffee2001 And you are a typical foul-mouthed Brit that gets all worked up about stupid things and goes off on wild tangents. We weren't even talking about tech transfer until you just randomly brought it up. Go hit the alehouse again tool.
yujinchia 5 months ago
@yujinchia Oh..these are stupid things now are they? You were so cock sure about the supersonic issue werent you? You stated..germans gave you all the technology. Hardly a wild tangent. You dont really have much of a come back do you little man?
banoffee2001 5 months ago 2
@banoffee2001 So you're saying the UK gave us some tech? Big whoop, you think the US never gave the UK any tech in return? How about nuclear weapons you're STILL using today, just for starters? People that just change the subject and start shooting off 4-letter words are, in my experience (a) wrong, and know it and (b) too dumb or proud to admit it.

@yujinchia Interesting comment about neuclear weapons. The reason you gave us that technology was that you gave the nazi animals from the concentration camps immunity from prosecution. Something you Yanks should be real proud of.
bampie1 5 months ago
@bampie1 What the hell does this have to do with Nazis in concentration camps? What do you mean we gave them immunity from prosecution? You're not even making sense.
The Internet was a product of DARPA. You gave us DNA? LoL? Even if everything you said is correct, saying you 'gave' the USA this stuff doesn't make sense- it was merely invented there. Well, I've got some news for you- stuff has been invented in the US too, and pretty much everywhere else.
yujinchia 5 months ago
@yujinchia We were not prepared to ignore the murder of millions of people in concentrations camps to get the technology, you were. Put it another way if you laid all the people murdered in concentration camps end to end they would reach the moon. Was that really a price worth paying for the US, it seems so, not in my book but then I can see a world that stretches further than the borders of my own country.
bampie1 5 months ago
@yujinchia Nuclear weapons were designed by German scientists you fool, the first space craft were also designed by german scientists. Just because they were in your captivity, doesn't mean that it's an American invention.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@yujinchia The only thing that stopped the US from breaking the sound barrier was a moveable tailplane and yes we gave you that along with the computer, TV, the internet, the jet engine, catapillar track, DNA etc. You rescued a bunch of murdering Nazi bastards from the concentration camps you must be so proud.
bampie1 5 months ago
@yujinchia The lend lease was not a stupidly low rate as it was subject to inflation. We paid dearly for those shitty tanks you built
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Nuclear weapons designed by German scientists? You're kidding right? Seriously, just stop- I'm seriously embarrassed for you just reading this.
You didn't pay 'dearly' for anything, and it was more than just tanks. Seriously, do they even teach history there?
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia Yep German scientists. look at their names and read their bios; hardly a yank among them. Also you didn't "give" us nuclear weapons, we tested and built our own in the early 50s. That's like us saying we gave you the tank. Lend lease was mainly tanks and munitions. And don't forget that the British Empire gave reciprocal aid to the USA.
What do we learn in history? Alot more than what you do probably. Our educational system doesn't go by hollywood movies
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz The UK uses the Trident II D5 ICBM for their entire nuclear deterrent now, which is a US-made weapon. Before that it used Polaris, also US-made. And you, sir, should go look up the Manhattan Project and see the list of scientists on it. They weren't all American, but they certainly weren't all German. They obviously teach you revisionist history in school, because you don't know jack kiddo...
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia And you really needn't tell me about Britain's place as a US ally now, I know, I'm in the British Army I've served along side the Americans in both Iraq and Afghanistan. That's right, I'm no child, so you can stop patronising me for starters. I know a hell of a lot more than you assume. We learn history from a neutral source. You cannot slag our educational system, when yours produces people who can't even point the USA out on the fucking map.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@yujinchia And that's the truth of it. Having seen from first hand experience I can tell you that the reason the United States has seen over 4,000 of it's personnel return in "crates". They get fed all this bullshit about being the best of the best of the best of the best and get into theatre with a dipshit attitude that they're just going to rack up 100 kills like on CoD, only to feel the sting of reality slapping them in the face. With America at the helm, the WORLD is fucked.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Dude, 4k casualties fighting multiple wars is miniscule. Yes, it's a lot for recent times but compare that to the last major wars and you'll see it's absolutely one-sided now. What makes you think we're all just video game junkies that don't know how to fight?
Actually NATO is stronger than ever now and the ironic thing is most of the newer former east-bloc countries are just as willing to pitch in as the old ones.
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia 4,000 casualties is minuscule to previous wars true, but in previous wars you have fought against people with decent weaponry, even in Vietnam they were armed with comparable kit in most areas. The fact that we are fighting a bunch of men in flip flops (no jokes, the majority are in fact wearing sandals). What makes me think they are video gaming junkies? Well when they turn up in theatre a great deal of them talk about their future tour as if it's going to be 1 big game.it's not
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz 4,000 casualties in multiple conflicts? Just training accidents and routine ops produce close to that many, and in fact that's what a lot of those come from even in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. It doesn't get headlined because it's not as exciting. You can have massively superior weapons but when you're going door to door, it doesn't matter a whole lot. As for new recruits talking about it like a game, well to them it is! They're green kids, what do you expect?
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia New recruits? I'm talking about the people arriving in Afghanistan. The whole point of basic and pre-op training is to beat that idea out of soldiers. To think it's a game is complacent, to be complacent in an area such as upper garesh or sangin is to put your life in mortal danger. No one should be sent to an operation theatre of war until they can at least grasp that much. It not only endangers their lives, but as a liability also puts the lives of their units in danger.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@yujinchia In Iraq there were a load of nations that turned up in 2003, but they were not operating in kenetic operations. On paper it looks like NATO working together, on the ground though it was the British and Americans fighting it out up front
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Yeah, but as you pointed out earlier NATO's two frontline powers have always been the UK and US, so that pretty much is a NATO op isn't it? A lot of the other member nations sent non-combat support, but most of the 'coalition' members were just for show. Didn't want to make it look like a crusade after all, that just gives the jihadis more fuel. So we staged out of Uzbekistan and had Pakistan nominally supporting (but we all know they actually sympathize with them).
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia But we're not the only ones. France, Germany, Italy and Spain all have well equipped armed forces (all 3 branches) and could contribute alot, but they don't because they don't agree with what we're doing. If the majority of NATO doesn't agree with an operation enough to jump in with us, then it's not a NATO operation, it becomes a coalition. The US and UK are operation outside of NATO they brand themselves as NATO troops because it's an umbrella to politically shield themselves with.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@yujinchia Look, you are clearly interested in this (or at least seem to be) why don't you pm me, and we can stop spamming the shit out of this comment box (which is about the eurofighter).
I will happily discuss our 2 conflicts with you
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Heh ok, though I doubt anyone would care either way. Came to this to see it in action; got a model of it sitting on my desk. Hot looking jet, to be sure.
yujinchia 4 months ago

WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Hope there aren't more morons like you around or NATO is finished. Ignorant, stupid, proud, and probably drunk- pretty much sums up the state of things eh?
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia NATO IS finished you dick, look around, when is the last time NATO actually did something in unison? Afghanistan and Libya don't count as each nation has approached the issue from it's own viewpoint as opposed to the mutual viewpoint of one military body.
"NATO troops" when spoken of these days pretty much means British or American, who else do you see pulling their finger out? As for ignorant, stupid and proud,? Well hey, you've just summed up America and it's forces
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@yujinchia And thirdly, why aren't you addressing the ignorant, stupid, proud Americans in this chain of comments....there's enough of them there. My theory? You just don't like England or the British people, I suppose there are enough of you in that country who don't, I've seen both on my travels there. In my experience it tends to be the Southern Republicans who are the most friendly to us, hence my friendbase in the US stems from there. So what's the story? Irish American?
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz I have nothing against British people. I've worked with them, have quite a few Brit buddies in fact. I just don't like people like you that think the British invented everything that's good in the world and that the sun still never sets on the British Empire (get real, it's over). And just to hammer the point home, you couldn't be more wrong- I'm 1st gen. Chinese American. You talk about China taking over- sure they will, and you'll be the next target.
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia I don't think everything was invented by Britain, it wasn't. I don't think that the Sun is always shining on the British Empire, as the Empire is now a commonwealth. I equally have nothing against the greater American public (asides from the fact that the majority know fuck all about what is outside their own state) however I'm sick of coming onto videos and seeing some yank blabbing on about America saving the planet...it was a TEAM effort. The UK is not a target for the Chinese
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz UK might not be an immediate target due to how far away it is now, but don't forget your allies. Japan is a NATO member, as is S. Korea. Australia and parts of S.E. Asia are part of the Commonwealth. Things blow up there, you're obligated to throw in. If they somehow neutralized the US, they'd effectively control all of Asia and Oceania. Never said America saved the planet, but neither could the UK have weathered WW2 alone, as some here indicated. That was what I took umbrage to.
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia I appreciate that, but consider that in reverse. Could America have survived without the British or the Russians? The president didn't seem to think so.
Germany however could not break the back or morale of the British people. Hitler said it himself. The Navy was too powerful for a marine invasion and parachuting troops in wouldn't have done much as they couldn't have been supported. We were beating them in Africa before you turned up, we just needed supplies and time to recoup
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz the truth is america helped a lot by attacking japan after pearl harbour But the two most important battles in WW2 where the battle of Britain n the battle of stalingrad close 3rd Monty beating Rommel the us rangers also fought very well in the landing in normandy but the landings would never have happened if the RAF didn't win or the Russians didn't in stalingrad
polygamous1 3 months ago
@artherjob Yeah your totally right, even if Germany defeated the RAF they would then had to beat the worlds most powerful and largest navy that being the Royal Navy guarding the English channel, even then they would of not stood a chance. Invading Britain was near enough impossible.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@artherjob
" allies would not have stood a chance"
We really don't know that to be the absolute truth but most likely your right. Some would say that the 2nd great war would have been much longer also giving acount if Germany would not have invaded the USSR.
Probably 10 years are so.
The same Could have been said regaurding the American Civil War. If General Lee won the battle of Gettysberg, would have been a done deal for the South. But we don't know that.
mojame100 7 months ago
@mojame100
Your right sir. All I meant by that comment is England was a landing pad for the allies to stage their attacks. Without that, like you said, the war would have continued for many more years. Its a credit to the "international" pilots who battled for the RAF during the battle of Britain.
artherjob 7 months ago
@artherjob

VarykGerai 11 months ago
@NANOFORGE dude the US alone was capable of polverising the German's. Just because the US was distracted by the Japanese and arrived late does not mean the Germans were strong.
RobertsDigital 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital No the US were not, The Japanese themselves were giving the US a hard enough time and German U-Boats were batting the shit out of US ships. The US helped end the war but they did'nt have the strengh nor the numbers to take on the Germans by themselves.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital Like I said, the Russians and Churchill were the real heros as they were the only ones that actually had the balls to say fuck off to Hitler from day one, unlike the US. The US for the majority of the war sent supplies across the atlantic to help the UK and the Russians and this involved most of their ships getting torn appart by U-Boats, it was until they got their arses handed to them at Peral Harbor when they actually got off their arses and helped with blood, sweat and tears.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital And to say the US would pulverize the Germans is utter bullshit, absolute boolshet. I take it your American. In the end the US had to nuke the Japanese to beat them because their deaths were too high, The US did'nt have a force even close enough to "pulverize" the Germans. lol.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE The Japanese were essentially defeated by the time the bomb was dropped. the air force was running out of targets by that time. I think the bomb decision was more for the Russians. I also don't think thhe bomb had that much influence on the Japanese decision to surrender, I think what the Japanese really feared was Russia entering the war, perhaps they hoped they could keep Korea.
ChannelingusXIV 10 months ago
@ChannelingusXIV The nuclear bomb was also dropped on a huge, industral, economic and mlitary hot spot to. It was a wise choice for the US to drop the bomb on Hiroshima, an action I approve becuas eit helped save more lives that it took. The US took the less casulties due to the fact they entered the war later than the UK and the Russians.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE yeah yeah bla bla bla. Dude you are British. During WWII before we entered the war we provided you with military weapons, including fighter aircrafts to fight against the Germans. Without our help or the russians you brits would have been crushed to bits by hitler and just because we keep silent does not mean we dont know dude so chill out. The UK still uses some of our weaponry today including the f35 which they have already ordered. Quit giving credit to Germans you confused Brit.
RobertsDigital 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital Yes I am British but I don't think we are brilliant, yes the British are flawed and have a bad history aswell as a good one. I am not giving any credit to the Germans, They simply were the largest and most powerful force in WWII, they had the best technology by far. Hiter was a complete douche bag though. Yes if the US would'nt o joined the Russians and the Uk would of been crushed, that was ovbious. However the Americans were not capabel of taking the Germans on their own.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital Confused Brit?, I love the hatred you Americans have for us British, Why, it makes no sense. You need to show us Brits more respect because it was our nation that actually discovered and colonized America with our own money in it's early days. Your nation would'nt exist if it was'nt for the UK, show more respect. Plus I am chilled out, however patriotic bullshit like the US could beat the Germans on their own annoys me, the US could not actually.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE I hate how the British think everyone owes them so much respect!!! To tell you the truth, we owe our thanks to the French for us being our own country. What the British had planned for the colonies is nowhere near what it is today. They never invested that money in order for us to be our own country. It was the wise men of that time that wanted to get away from the monarchy. The French were just on time to help us defeat the "Red Coats." Best of friends now but not then.
anmrivera 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital The US also uses some of our weaponry and technology today aswell which includes the Harrier which makes sense seeing that the US is our ally as is evey other nation in Europe. Stop making out that the US is superior to everyone else, the fact is you are not. Pearl Harbor porved this as did the 9/11 retaliation. America is not as powerful as you think it is, the US is not unbeatable nor is it at all untouchable. The Russians also have nukes far more powerful than the US's aswell.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE Your saying that two surprise attacks on our soil is a means to judge military prowess? Russia does not have nuclear weapons more powerful or advanced than the US. And yes the the only way anyone could get to the US through military means is through Europe or the Pacific so maybe you should start scolding the russians and chinese.
BIRDDOG551 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE We are superiour in technoligy. The Harrier is old tech just like it is old to say look at Pearl Harbor. We are a different military today than back then. Now you use the F-35 (Ordered) the Apache Helocopter, the Sea King, C-17, an other US equiptment. It is OK to say we are superior when talking about equiptment but person to person there is no such thing as superior to each other. All are equal. No family is better than another!
anmrivera 10 months ago
@anmrivera " All are equal. No family is better than another!" Yep, that is exactly the point I am trying to make.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@NANOFORGE AMEN! I have been living in the UK for two years and the British people are for the most part nice. There are a few who don't like the fact that a "Yank" family lives in their villiage but they are few and far between. Our contries have gone from enemies (Our Revoluntionary War) to probably the greatest friendship (Alliance) of any two countries. People need to learn from what our countries have accomplished.
anmrivera 10 months ago
@anmrivera The revoluntionary war happened to long ago to actually matter anymore. However you do get idiots who hold on to pointless things like that, Black people for example (And I'm not being racist before anyone starts) still hold onto hatred towards the white man dispite they have had the same rights for nearly half a century, not all Black people fell like this though of course. Yes people need to move, learn and work together. The ISS is an example of every nation working together.
NANOFORGE 10 months ago
@RobertsDigital, dude rember we also gave you technology, like the rolls royce merlin engine and the jet engine,
The nazi couldn't have invaded because we gained air supremacy in 1940 during the battle of britian stopping hilter crossing the channel (operation sea lion), america joined the war in 1941, The Royal Navy when have also prevent hilter invading.
If you dont think the germans had a superior military where do you think NASA came from? German Scientists and the V2 rocket
mrwideboy 10 months ago
@supermanicabc WWI Britain was winning, America was more of liability in WWI, America didn't effect the out come of WWI at all. It's a fact.
Tommyfungun 8 months ago
@supermanicabc Britain would have triumphed in WW1 without the US, the German political resolve was weakening. As for WW2, the Germans didn't have the capacity to actually invade our Island, that would have bought us sufficient time to rearm and re-equip. We wouldn't have liberated Europe though without the US. Russia would have probably beaten Germany, if not I could honestly see Hitler gaining what he wanted and that was a truce with the British Empire. Who knows? Bad times
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz In WW1 yes, you're probably right. In WW2, highly debatable whether Great Britain would have survived without US intervention even in Europe. In the Pacific, it was already over by the middle of 1941- and with that went pretty much all of the British Empire. Hitler wanted the whole world if that wasn't obvious- he'd sign a 'truce' with anyone; remember he did that with the USSR to divide Poland, then promptly invaded them.
yujinchia 4 months ago
@yujinchia To continue: I never said the Americans can't fight. They can, I have seen them and they throw themselves into it as much as anyone else. But its the way they conduct their operations and the way individuals conduct themselves that see so many of them return home draped in the stars and stripes. Honestly, I find it quite sad. Onto your comment of NATO, it is not as strong as ever. What you see in Iraq and Afghan is a Coalition not NATO. I do however agree about the Ex USSR nations.
WickyWiggstaz 4 months ago
@WickyWiggstaz Afghanistan is a NATO operation even if it's on paper a coalition. It was a direct result of the 9/11 attacks which is the first time NATO's mutual defense clauses were activated. Iraq pretty much the same story, though reduced to only a part of NATO because it wasn't agreed by everyone that Iraq did anything to warrant it. Not sure what you mean by conduct of ops? These places filled with suicide bombers and insurgents are very hard to deal with, no matter what you do.

In a dogfight, the F22 is as visible as any big fighter and a F22 IS big. However, getting in dogfight range with an F22 is another thing.
