  • Ultra high doesnt take much.

  • hey ParanoidFreax thanks for the tip about setting AA and AF to 2x instead of 8x and 16x. i used to do the latter, but i tried 2 and 2 and the difference in graphic quality is soooo negligible but i did see improvements in performance so thank you.

  • does anyone know if i can run it with a 2 ghz prosesser and a nvidia 8200 graphics card

  • Nice. On my PC, oblivion lags bad on medium quality even with operation: optimization installed. I dont have money for a new graphics card :(

  • can oblivion still be played on an alienware laptop with any kind of vista and can I still download mods with an alienware laptop with vista?

  • yep easily

  • Is there a mod for having your own music?

  • i swear that bob stick figure thing is bull shit -.-

  • Not bad graphics. Though the textures only look that good cause of QTP3. (NOTE: I'M GOING TO BRAG) on my system it looks a-fuckin-mazing...and this on Oblivion, games like Crysis Warhead are just flawess. I run on ProMagix VSC240 Workstation, with a GTX 295, with a 25" LED screen and a surround sound system, all optimized for max resolution.

P.S: Sorry about the bragging :P

  • Dude, textures look amazing, too bad I bought this on my 360. I'll sell it and buy this on PC for 20$.

  • At frys electronics, it is $12, although it is too late for you no doubt

  • hey i got an HP laptop with these specs:

Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz,

    3 GB RAM,

Ge Force 9600 with 512 MB DDR2 dedicated memory,

    Full HD resolution,

on which settings will game run,and how well???

  • Well, I guess you could run a completely unmodded Oblivion completely maxed, with HDR and no AA.

  • are you kidin!your pc is very good!

you will ru the game in ultra high

    I have a

    old pc

    2g ran ddr2

    nvidia 8600gts

    and a a dual core 2.4 mhz

  • That's what I was saying, but HDR doesn't support AA, unless you dig into the .ini file.

  • @theofrenetico

lol i have the same xD

  • I lovvvvvvvvvvvvvvvveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee this game................

  • Awesome, perfectly smooth with Fraps.

    im getting this card soon

    5*

  • Good Luck with your GX2!

I recently installed ForeverView and raised the AA a bit, it stills runs crisp @ 60 FPS, the card is really amazing.

  • Awesome, and thanks.

    Are you running XP?

  • I'm running Vista with DirectX 10 (Crysis, FSX and the like), albeit half of the features are disabled. If you wanna run DX10, you need Vista, that pretty much sucks.

  • Yea, i got vista also

  • Then you're all set!

  • hey great video! Some people have their oblivion game run on the 9800 graphics card, but somehow it lags, and really glitched for them... Should I get one for my new desktop? Thanks!

  • Probably caused by Fraps, or they have a real bad CPU.

If you've got the money, you'll have to make a choice between the 9800 GX2 or the GTX 280. Both are reasonably the same, although the 9800 GX2 is dual-core and, by my experience, overclocks like a dream.

  • Did you try to make the opening at the start epic :p?

Game looks boring tbh, a bit.. slow.. not my style.. what are your benchmarks on Crysis ^.^?

  • Huh? It's supposed to be epic?

The game is actually pretty exciting, if you want to just bash in people's heads you can, I prefer to walk around a bit and balance combat with the rest (talking, walking, doing thieve's guild quests, etc.)

As for my Crysis benchmarks, I'll put up a video, although Fraps brings it down from 30 to 10 FPS.

  • Sucks, just go to the lowest res setting ever known to man. That should work if your not on the lowest res setting known to man right now. The opening seemed epic because of the epic music ^.^

Anywayyy.. I'll still give Oblivion a try. I just perfer more fast gamplay though. I get bored playing slow games ^.^
