The first darkness was a great game considering it was one of the early games of the this gen consoles. But after playing the demo the gameplay and feel of the second game is great. Im loving the comic book feel in the second game.

I just finished the demo, and I am really disappointed. I played the first Darkness and it took me by surprise, it was a pretty solid game, my only complaint was that it lacked any really good boss fights. This game had really clunky controls that just felt odd the whole time, the tutorial handicaps your right away. Even with two legs, Jackie couldn't jump until the tutorial let me. Then once you get past that, every 5 minutes the game would essentially play itself. I'm going to pass on this.

Did anyone else noticed how after healing his leg jackies pants still were ripped. cause duh close does not heal lol. Yet when he gets thrown back by another explosion right before you see the darkling, we can clearly see how his pants are fine and he even got a shoe. That darkness must be really crafty to smuggle new pants and another shoe for him while he was shooting ppl lol. With no nitpicking, game looks pretty cool tho.

i have to say Darkness 2 is a joke. from playing the demo i'm looking at a 3/10, the laggy scripted events are appauling, the music is like something of toy story.

the graphics are soooo... 2005 the AI is cheap, the Darkness' voice sounds like a fucking gimmick.

Darkness 1 much love but this joke with it's use of "british" darklings again a gimmick... making it sound like a children's fantasy like maleficent in disney's sleeping beauty wtf?!

british darklings sound feeble. the british sense of humour is like fairycakes compared to th abrupt seriousness of sarcasm of amercans. i know it's cell-shaded to make it look like a cartoon but even simpsons looks better than darkness 2 - i meant the graphics as in character models, buildings even darkness 1 looks better than this shite.

It's using unreal 2.5 - same engine as dark sector and even that looks better.

sorry not unreal engine it was evolution but not bloody far off, i think i read somewhere that it used a certain amount of unreal code.

they modded the evo for darkness 2 as where darkness 1 used unreal 3? - same as riddick and this syndicate game by the originals starbreeze aka triton who done fast tracker on the pc

the whole diving back in the air from the explosions, ducking behind cover of kitchen counters etc then being dragged by co-partner.. the whole restaurant sequence is like the start of black ops. the transition between combat and seeing Jenny then back to combat is like F.E.A.R.

Everything is small and fast and actiony.. Darkness 1 takes a much slower pace.
