  • Oh, and by the way, it's Micky Arison doh doh, not Mickey.

  • Tell us again you are not in the industry....

  • Your cruise line, Carnival, is the number one top offender at the US Better Business Bureau with a "highly unfavorable" rating.

    Check it out for yourself.

  • I'm so sorry that your life is so empty that you're actually doing research on this. I'm sure there is some Self Help Hotline you can call. You don't have to live this way. Really, there are people who can help you through this.

Take a deep breath and dial that number. I wish you all the best; really, I do.

  • I notice how you never answer the question presented to you, instead changing the subject all together.

Then again how can you answer for Carnival having one of the worst records at the Better Business Bureau? Hey..next time you take a handout from Carnival think about that.

I suspect you won't instead dwelling on anything that makes you avoid giving an answer.

  • Awesome! I just thought this was really cool and cute, w/o all the whiny politics involved. I wish I had been in Dallas that day!

  • I agree. I was in Dallas that day...it was awesome and lots of Fun.

  • Not according to many who have posted here.

Perhaps the travel agants who participated had lots of fun. Carnival would make sure of that...it's called a bribe.

  • Homeric...I am really starting to feel sorry for you. I think you have some real issues. Anyone who could get this worked up about a cruise line needs help.

Now take a deep breath and say to yourself, "I'm not as dumb as I sound...I'm not as dumb as I sound".

You can have the last word...cause God knows I'm not wasting anymore time on a looney like you.

By the way, Bozo, I'm not a travel agent...Weirdo!

  • Right...

  • Ps as cruise lines go theyre either floating nursing homes or floating frat parties. Canival is cool because its actually normal grown up people on the ships. lol.

  • Terw, the song is "bang the drum all day" by Todd RUndgren

  • whats the song

  • Carnival is an amazingly well run company and the deliver a product that well exceeds expectations. At a time when cruise lines are cutting costs at the expense of their product, Carnival isn't...they're actually adding and making it better.

  • Where on earth are you getting this from? Carnival pamphlets? You do realize all these "enhancements" are planned years in advance and to not do them now is actually more expensive to cancel? Exceeds expectations? every single ship is the same, no individuality, what little there is is done at a minimal cost. One can't decipher what ship they look at online without being told. Carnival is known in the industry for being the cheapest investment wise per ship.

  • I won't get into a pissing contest with you, but I guarantee you I have a lot more knowledge about the cruise industry than you. I respect your uninformed opinion and that's all I'll say about it.

  • Right..I'll take my 24 cruises over whatever experience you claim to have but will not share to back up your claim.

By even posting something so ludicrous only tells me you have zero professional ties to the industry and probably have cruised once or twice which now makes you an authority.

Spare us your informed opinion by way of the 10 too many $11 cocktails you consumed while laughing to John Heald's gutter humor on one of the Carnival Clones you sailed on.

Back it up or shut up.

  • Well, since I've been cruising since I was 12 (that was 32 years ago) and have been on about 200 cruises on many different lines, you may want to think twice about comparing your experience to mine. I should also mention I've been in the travel industry for 27 years.

So the one who should shut up is you.

  • Ah a travel agent! I would have expected as much..a paid shill for Carnival no doubt.

Either that or you are liar. I suspect something foul here as your video on your homepage was removed.

  • Yes. I am part of a conspiracy to lie about how many cruises I've been on and what I do for a living.

What a pompous fool to think that whatever you say is gospel and what everyone else thinks is a lie and wrong.

I made a comment about what I believed about Carnival. I wasn't trying to force you to agree with me, but I believe I have just as much right as you do to give an opinion.

Goo book some cruises and get a life! Weirdo!

  • Get a grip jackass just because you work in the industry doesn't mean your opinion is worth anymore than mine.

Carnival as one entity isn't bad, I wish they'd do something different than the constant flow of Joe FArcus designed ships. It's seemingly one clone after another.

It's that corporate philosphy at Carnival being used at all the brands including Cunard, HAL and Cunard. It's the constant reptition that is a major turn off.

Unless you plan to be civil do not respond.

  • Practice what you preach bozo! Take a look who started being rude...sure as heck wasn't me. I guess you're just weird like that. Take care.

  • look..I'm not the one enjoying trips on Carnival's dime then when people ask you about a cruise at your agency you say "try Carnival". Carnival is like Hnery Ford, he'd make any color you'd want as long as it is black. Mickey Arison will give you any ship you want as long as it os a modified design or if it is cheaper yet another vista designed and supplied by the same people who have built all the clones before.

It's not necessarily a good product that makes Carnival, it's PR, nothing more

  • Damn, I wish they'd do something like this in New York!

  • I wish I coulda been there when they filmed this! :D

  • Welcome to Los Angeles freeway traffic.

But I gotta admit this made me laugh and smile more then I've done in a long time. So cool.

  • i know i love their commercials

  • I hope Carnival didn't pay market rates for this idea. Typically, when a company like Carnival uses thiis sort of method to reach a customer it usually means the product, in this case their ships, are going to go through a period of on the cheap operation in this down economy. Carnival is damn depressing, with all their resources to consistently get by on the cheap shows just how they care about their customer.

  • I can tell you Carnival is doing much better financially than their competitors.

  • Why would they not? They deliver a product as cheaply as humanly possible cost wise.

Beyond their well worn corporate philosphy of sticking it to their clients and getting thanked for it at the same time. They have bought so much of the business, gentrified it to the point all the brands have blurred lines of existance.

I was impressed with Carnival in the ealy years..no longer. I've cruised nearly 2 dozen times and I'm happy to say never with Carnival.

  • awesome!

  • This was the biggest pain in the world ever that day! Haha. All the streets in downtown Dallas are alternating one way streets, and the Dallas Bridal Show was the same day, so we couldn't drive our car down to the hotel that it was at. All in all we were driving around for about an hour before we could figure out what was going on and had to walk through other businesses to get to where we were going!
