POMP OIL ??? Windmills in Holland were and are never used to pomp oil (or didn't I hear it well...) They first were used in the 17th century to keep the groundwater-levels low, because 80 percent of Holland lies below sea-level(Windmills also pumped water out of many Dutch lakes a few hundred years ago, to create more useful land). Then there came industrial windmills for example for grain-milling, sawing wood and so on...Groeten uit Holland.
