  • i have a voyager, moog mg1,juno 60, juno 106 (works but after an hour or so it meesses up),dx7,dx100,jp8080, korg poly800 (not working, could be the a/c) xp80, sp808, juno 2,sr16 drum machine (not working)

  • ya need to warm the OSC's on tha 106

  • You've got awesome gear! but i cant get with all you guys just listening to an arpeggiator and a programmed drum sq!? Cant someone make some good 80s funk/soul basses/leads or sumin else????

  • you need an ensoniq esq1 and sq80 to find the funk. I don't think the Junos were part of the funk thing. The 303s, and sq80s are all over the funk heaven.

  • With all due respect, You need the 'funk' to find the funk. You can replicate the classic 80s funk sounds with most analog synths, however those Ensoniq boards all came out late 80s which is past that true funk period im talking about (1979-1986) so they wouldn't of been used. I'm know Roland Junos/Jupiter/mks80/Jx can be found on some stuff, but i'm yet to find a funk track with TB303?? The mainstays were the SCI Prophet 5, Pro1, Oberheim FVS, Obx(a), Minimoog, DX7..etc

  • Hey, really good. I like it, brings back memories. I had a Juno 60 and have still not forgiven myself for selling it.

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • i've got a lovely juno-6... exactly like the 60 only it lacks the DCB interface and patch storage. Not that DCB mattersa now... lol

  • Actually you can buy a converter box now that will convert DCB into MIDI. But hey, I have Juno-6 too so it doesn't matter to either of us. :)

  • Looks like the pawn shop down the street lol

  • if your pawn shop looks like this i'd like to know where you live!!!! lol

  • Probably Peverly Hills ;p

  • How are the brass sounds on the Juno? I'm trying to find a good synth with Jump-esque brass sounds (without paying an arm and a leg for an Oberheim.)

  • get a juno 60....or jupiter 8 or oberheim

  • you can find a juno at 300 €

  • mind telling me where? :) I haven't found one yet.

  • the JU-6 has an arpegiator too. You sync the arpegiator via a 1/4" jack - send a trigger or gate pulse from a board or drum machine to it and the arpegiator will sync to it.

  • Yes, i used the LT trigger out of the TR-606

for trigger the apergiator of the JU-60.

  • JSQ-60 handled DCB. DCB was pre midi stuff that roland had around for a while. If you want to sequence the JU-60, you need the JSQ. If memory serves me, the JP-8 had DCB too, no midi, although the JP-6 was indeed midi.

I dig this dood's videos, very Jarreish, with a hint of Vangelis. I dig for sure. That brass patch on the Oberhiem is making the hair on my arms stand up..

  • Thanks for your comment!

  • nice one i like it

  • great stuff. I've always wanted a Juno-60 instead of my 106 mostly because of the arpeggiator. Is that a msq-100 to the right of the 606?

  • It's a jsq-60.

I have sold mine 106 instead of the Juno-60

because of the arpeggiator and also for the fatter sound of the 60!
