she's eating well,so it means that she's happy en healthy.the coconut is also a good shelter for spiders.well done!!!!

i am normally speaking dutch,so i am gonna try to wright english.the two off you are wright for 50 %.the brachypelma smithi(are mexican redflame)diggs a hole when she is in natural habitat off 50 cm deep,and 1,5m long.here nature habitat is half desert.she do that from march till octobre.because then it's verry warm in here nature habitat,and the temperature is in here hole on the day 35C° en at night it is 25c°.the RV(humidity)is between 85% and 95%.

@doublejayjones I think it all depends on what camera you are using, what setting you are using on the camera, ect. I have a red knee as well and her coloring looks just like this, her's is breath taking but only when I use a pro camera other then that you could just forget getting pics of her lol :)

need some advice...when a mexican red knee finally gets its coloured strips is it fully mature? I think I had a male, it finally got its red knees and started acting strange climbing all over the place which it never did before. About 4-6 months after it got its colours it died. I read that when a male matures it goes in search of a mate and never molts again. Does anyone have any experience with this?

just to point out that they do need high humidity, its best to never let it fall below 55% humidity for this particular spider

@hordichuck Their natural habitat is in deciduous tropical forests in the hilly southwestern Mexico, especially in Colima and Guerrero. The temperature of the tank should be about 75°F to 80 °F, while the required humidity levels are 60% to 75%. please take your own advice and don't give advice if you don't know w hat your talking about, it makes you look like a fool :)
