It's really sad how this iconic, quintessential and beautiful sounding british amp is now having it long and proud reputation wrecked by korg who now own vox. These amps all ways were made in england and were top notch quality and now they are shit all made in China & Vietnam! They still stick union jacks all over the brandinding... PISS TAKERS!
I've owned an AC15VR for well over a year now and I'm still very pleased with it. I run it clean and use pedals (Satchurator and Small Wonder) for distortion and boost as necessary.
If you're looking for genuine classic Vox AC sounds at a fraction of the cost, the VR amps are worth looking at, imho.
Do you research before you buy this amp. Do you record? Do you play shows? If yes, this amp is for you and worth your money. If you live in an apartment, forget it. It will be useless for you. There is no headphone outlet.
@ROBOOT103 Actually, you're right! I was absolutely wrong about this amp. I ended up buying it, and it works great in my apartment. I spoke before I actually did my research. Sorry.
is it good for metal?

What reverb is it? Spring or digital?
dairniel 11 months ago
@dairniel I have this amp, it's a digital reverb but I think it's meant to sound like a spring.
