Alright, first of all, one of the problems with the film is that you can`t really relate to the characters. The fact that Jake was a former marine and paraplegic mean little, and he has few qualities aside from being a human that can relate to most people, instead you`re thrown into Avatar out of nowhere, expected to love it regardless.

Great film, i am looking forward to avatar 2 which we know is coming. I bet he wasn't even surprised as to how well this film did, i bet he expected it and started on avatar 2 before it was even A. Finished or B. Out.
@faralith he wasn't surprised. he planned everything perfectly so that he would make a lot of money and rereleased it on Earth Day. His first release date was same as titanic, which was the second biggest blockbuster of all time.
What I loved about this Film, was the storyline, I mean, I wasn't aware that it was pretty much pocahontas and dances with wolves mixed with blue furries. But Even if I had known that, It wouldn't have changed my mind about the film. It was stunningly amazing. I didn't get to see it in 3-D, (My eyes are damaged in a way that renders me unable to see 3-D) But I saw it normally, and it was so detailed. You could tell it was all animated, but halfway quarter-way through. You totally forget!

I dont think its going to be a trilogy. Cause he said that this movies has everything that is needed,instead of making more. But he said if he would it will be about events that happened before the movie about Jake's and the other alien girls life.
No, Cameron has said in many interviews that the plan from the beginning was to make a trilogy, provided the first film was successful. Which it is. Big time.
He also said that he already has the stories for the next two films worked out and that it will take less time and money to make the sequels because a lot of the work is already done.

@Jonohobs yepo, unfortunatley with the glasses the whole picture was slightly to dark and i was dissapointed that the whole film was not in 3d i.e. i wanted the explosion fo the tree to come out towards you .
I hope there's a second movie, but I hope they don't rush into it. I'd really love that they take their time, come up with another rollercoaster ride, expand all the key points of the first one, and hopefully, it'll have the Terminator 2 effect, which is so hard to achieve.

thats what i like about the 3D effect in this movie. it wasn't all gimmicky like " IN YOUR FACE" but more subtle but it gave the characters and environments more detail

No, Cameron has said in many interviews that the plan from the beginning was to make a trilogy, provided the first film was successful. Which it is. Big time.
He also said that he already has the stories for the next two films worked out and that it will take less time and money to make the sequels because a lot of the work is already done.

@Jonohobs yepo, unfortunatley with the glasses the whole picture was slightly to dark and i was dissapointed that the whole film was not in 3d i.e. i wanted the explosion fo the tree to come out towards you .

I hope there's a second movie, but I hope they don't rush into it. I'd really love that they take their time, come up with another rollercoaster ride, expand all the key points of the first one, and hopefully, it'll have the Terminator 2 effect, which is so hard to achieve.
