There are very few evil characters throughout the franchise. In #1 it was the asbo Sid, in #2 it was Al and Stinky Pete and in #3 Lotso. To say that Toy Story 3 is too similar to the previous films is silly. Of course it is! It's supposed to be, dumb ass! This film is fantastic to look at and enthralling from start to finish. The plot is very clever and every detail is important, from Mrs. Potatohead's missing eye to the triplet aliens. Ever wonder why THEY were kept on despite being daft?
I was like born in 1995 and i had the 2 videos as a kid and i must have seen them like 7 times each when i was younger. I even had a woody doll and a buzz light year, so it was really, really hard to keep my tears away from my friend when I saw it. Great review :D

In my mind this was the best toy story yet and no buzz was not a throwaway character and provied some of the flims funnest moments. It remains one of the best triolgys ever made and not just for kids for adults too it has a fantasic story, fanstatic animation, fantasic voice acts and it's a fantastic flim.

And I'm not just basing this on my own opinion, a lot of people in the cinema didn't seem to enjoy it that much either. Even the kid in front of me said halfway through that he didn't like this one and wanted to go home. If people think it's the best, then great. But I don't think this one attracted a wide variety of people like the last two did.

I thought the 1st half was a bit slow, but then it really pulls you in. At any age (unless you hated the previous films in the series) this will be your film of the year. I agree that the plot plays on a familiar story, but it is and has always been their story and the script is well crafted. I have seen some terrible acting in films so far this year, this film should act as a master-class great drama.
I loved it. When they were in the rubbish dump and there was that furnace when they all started holding hands. I nearly cried. I thought the aliens were hilarious and at the end when he gave the toys away the tears were streaming down my cheeks. Great film!
I seriously thought it was mildly funny at best, and moderately entertaining, from somebody that found Ratatoui, Wall-e, and that film with the balloon house brilliant.
This is a great film and I agree that it's only worth four stars as I'm not convinced it's gonna be a great film to re-watch.
While I see where you're coming from by saying the Story Echoed a lot of Toy Story 2. I think it's unfair to say they were too similar. If you were picky the essential plot of all three films were very similar, but they represented different aspects of Woody's changing relationship with Andy.

TS3 is amazing. I cried from laughing and cried my ass off at the sad scenes. Watching TS3 took me to my 'happy zone' and i was in my own element watching this at the Cinema.

If that's the case either you're not old enough or frankly don't have enough life experience to connect with the pathos of the story. A lot of the story is allegorical so it may have gone over your head.
I think the reason why lots of Fathers, myself included, have gotten a little emotional watching this film is because Woody's relationship to Andy is one of a proxy Father. He faces the loss of his friends and loved ones, his changing relationship with Andy and ultimately his own mortality.

I've grown up with all 3 TS'S.
TS3 is amazing. I CANT PICK ANY FAULTS WITH IT.
I cried from laughing at the funny scenes, and cried my ass off at the sad scenes. Infact, my eyes were bloodshot when I got home.
Watching TS3 took me to my 'happy zone' and i was in my own element watching this at the Cinema with my Family.
It brings out the younger person in everyone. It was well worth the 11 year wait! <3

If that's the case either you're not old enough or frankly don't have enough life experience to connect with the pathos of the story. A lot of the story is allegorical so it may have gone over your head.
I think the reason why lots of Fathers, myself included, have gotten a little emotional watching this film is because Woody's relationship to Andy is one of a proxy Father. He faces the loss of his friends and loved ones, his changing relationship with Andy and ultimately his own mortality.
