  • zack morris!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That show would have NEVER worked without Dennis Franz!

  • gives vic mackey a run for his money but at least he never crossed the line! he was always moral a great character! one of the things i love about this show was his moral outrage and payback on the scumbags! this show is better than the wire!

  • Most TV cop shows are superficial, predictable, faux Hollywood garbage. You always know that they are TV shows. NYPD Blue put you -- front and center -- at the crime scenes, police station, streets, and everywhere else it artistically weaved its intricate web of believability. The line between reality and fiction was so artfully blurred that it confused our subconsciouses into believing the unreal. That was the brilliance of NYPD Blue. The directing/writing/acting mesmerized and legitimized.

  • This is why cop's end up dead and nobody gives a shit.

  • You know there were 12 seasons of this. Just sayin'. You could've put that one memorable scene where Andy and Bobby were singing a song together. THAT was priceless.

  • You need to put the scene on where he gives the immigrant Romanian guy the Southeast Asian geography lesson.

  • It's really no different than how the cops act in reality!

  • ABC, Steven Bochco, David Milch, & Co. need to do 2 things - 1. Get seasons 5-12 out on DVD & 2. It has been 6 yrs since the show went off the air-I think it's time for an NYPD Blue Reunion! Somebody told me once I think they should make an NYPD Blue movie! I said Are you STUPID? Whenever somebody tries to write a movie about a T.V. show-It falls flat on its face-Don't ruin the legacy that Blue created in 261 episodes over 12 seasons!

  • Sipowicz! We need you to go down to wall street & set those OWS people straight!

  • Siporwicz should fight and payback time against the villains, henchmens, martyrs, and terrorists.

  • I vaguely remember this show and confuse it with Homicide: Life On The Street but Sipowicz is one bad ass cop.

  • 3:23 - 5:02 best scene in all the series

  • BOY do I wish there were more cops like Andy!!! He gets shit done and assholes off the street!!!!! Scumbag criminals deserve to get a good beating!!!

  • "Are you gonna tell me what I wanna know or am I gonna have to show you my ass?" Thumbs up if you know the relevance

  • 'Let's see how that sounds wiht a pug nose... C'mon-"Kiss my ass-kiss my ass...." '

  • abusive pig

  • This behaviour is against the law; bullying suspects and this series condones these tactics it may assuage the feelings of frustration of a bunch of dumb and brainwashed Americans but it is very unethical and childish.

  • @turockandar Ditto.

  • @turockandar Dude This is a show calm yourself and get a biscuit.

  • @turockandar -I have my associates degree in Criminal Justice so I know all about how cops are suppose to treat criminals guess what? While, cops can't smack around criminals it is FUN watching them beat down the scum of the earth-Sometimes in life these guys actually need it but in real life it can't actually happen! NYPD Blue is a T.V. show-PERIOD!

  • @kardzfn21 an associates huh? Well I guess you are an expert lol. Lots of things happen in real life that aren't supposed to. lol

  • The ultimate cop dream team duo I always wanted to see but unfortunately never will..... Lenny Briscoe from L&O and Andy Sipowicz.

  • Okay, when the heck are we going to see this great police show in syndication? I have seen enough Law&Order and NCIS....

  • Damn this was such a good show. I miss you, sipowicz, you sexy beast

  • IMO, this WAS THE BEST SHOW ever....Law and Order, etc....can't come close to it. Andy Sipowicz was the best.

  • it was either season 3 or 4 when he's in a cell acting likea crazy guy to make a guy want to confess or something i can't remember it's pure genius though

  • "Wrong cop."

  • Sipowicz vs Walker Texas Ranger. Cordell wins by virtue of a roundhouse kick to the chops. Funny that Dennis Franz did a great job acting out the part of a psychotic cop, but is far more mellow in real life. You'd hope!

  • @2:09

It doesn't feel good getting a dose of your own medicine, huh Frank,?

  • The scene at 1:12 is the best. Andy's expression was priceless.

  • @airdriver Yeah

  • Sipowicz quit the police force, and joint Aqua Teen Hunger Force, as Carl.

  • Frank got bitched slapped

  • TV, make police violence seem justified for years!

  • I miss this show SO MUCH!

  • My favorite was the "Beep Beep" epi -"Cop Suey" and "Emission Accomplished". I love all the Kelly epi and actually the early Sorensons too. Yeah Dennis is great. Thanks.

  • his good cop bad cop routine

  • DONT FUCK WITH SIPOWICZ!!! Any questions?

  • Sipowicz is one of my all time favourite tv characters, and he'd probably be in my top five. He starts out as a racist homophobic alcoholic, but what salvages the man is that he always tries. He does his best in every situation, even when he's being an ass a lot of the time. And he does anything for the people he loves. One of my personal, favourite moments of Sipowicz was when he "allowed" the gay receptionist to babysit his small son. That showed how much he had changed.

  • Another thing...pause right at 1:01 and look at that chicks tits in the white. She's there for about half a second

  • hes a fucking pig

  • Also, I found Mark Paul Gosslin (sp?) actually decent in his role on this show. It kind of (finally) got him away from the Zack Morris character he was pegged with for what seemed like forever

  • @AceDagger1 Yes, it's interesting to see how Zack transformed himself from being a rebel in high school to being what he was against 10 years later.

  • @unknownunknowns Really? Zach Morris is your idea of a rebel? LOL

  • @716ram Maybe a little too harsh. He wasn't exactly Belling's best friend.

  • Fact: Dennis Franz made NYPD Blue

  • TV so dumb

  • Like many here, I am a huge Blue fan, especially Sipowicz. I have to say, though, that this video is not even close to any of Sipowicz' memorable scenes. Not one scene with Bobby or John? Love Andy, but this one's way off.

  • dennis franz is my great uncle ! his neven are my cousengs

  • If my dad would have been a cop he would have been Sipowicz

  • Dennis Franz was terrific as Andy, from 'convincing' a crook to tell the truth to being a father with his son, he could do it all. Miss that show.....

  • That's tough. You gotta add the scene when he hits the guy in the back of the head with phone book.

  • Greatest. Drama. Ever. Period.

  • @sgtsnafu Interestingly enough, he ended up marrying that same female ADA.

  • Douchebag LOL

  • best drama ever see this makes law & order look like a kids show

  • Hill Street Blues is the best cop show. This was good though

  • I loved that man! Best TV cop there ever was. (ok maybe Steve McGarrett from Hawaii 5-0 but that's another era). LOVE the parrot he trained to say DOUCH BAG! ROTFLMAO!!!!! XD!!!!

  • Sipowicz=Badass

  • There is an episode where a young Hispanic girl fills in for the blond (O'Grady), during this episode this girl gets her face cut by a bad guy with a razor. Medovoid is assigned the case and told by Lt. Yancy to interrogate the suspect. After Medovoid fails to do so, Lt. Yancy tells Sipowicz to get the confession and the LT. tells Andy, if it comes back I have to give you up, I just don't want to know how you got the confession. Translated-If you kick the shit out of him I don't want to know.

  • @MrOncethere Medavoy right? :p

  • @Raissmo thanks for correcting the spelling of his last name.

  • I love Medavoy so much.

  • which is the episode where andy and jimmy are questioning a guy wearing a tanktop, the guys says "you can either kiss me or lick my feet" and andy replies

"well all i can do is cut off your dick and stick it in your underwear" or something like that, it was around 2000/2001 I could be wrong, but i really thought it was funny!

    please does anybody know?

  • He needs to bring this character back one more time. This was a great show.

  • @louiscaponecchia You are so fucking far off that's it's funny. Believe it or not, my dad was a good cop, doing things that had never been done before in law enforcement. So FUCK OFF with your PATHETIC assumptions of my dad and his career as a cop.

  • Fantastic collection!!

  • 2:43!

  • Andy is best!

  • "there is something wrong with your bird" hilarious

  • doug faison i love u man,,, enjoy heaven

  • I need to see the scene in which Sipowicz is kicking a religious freak out of the interview room. The guy quotes a bible verse to him and Sipowicz tells him not to let the door hit him in the ass on the way out, looks at his watch then says something like "Sipowicz, 9:26". Is it on here anywhere?

  • the last morally concious show to be put on tv . shows like mash & night court are gone man.really does anyone know of a show on tv now that makes you feel f***** human makes you feel theres good twisted in with all the bad?

  • Ummm is that zach morris???? And what episode is that first clip from

  • I like 21 Jumpstreet better

  • That's another one of my aliases the Black Sipowicz !

  • Which seasons are these clips from?

  • If this world had more men like Sipowicz, it would be a MUCH better world to llive in.

Dennis Franz is one of my most favorite actors of all time! I also loved him in the "Goodbye Earl" video. LOL

  • Sheer manliness that Detective Sipowicz, doing unorthodox methods to get rid of the bad guys and clean up the city.

  • MY FAVORITE COP SHOW OF ALL TIME!!! I DONT CARE WHAT ANYONE SAYS....ANDY SIPOWICZ IS A REAL PERSON...STILL CATCHING BAD GUYS IN NEW YORK...THEY JUST DON'T FILM IT ANYMORE...

  • Quality, but my favourite from episode 1 - Rockin Robin where Andy finds a missing girl

  • 2:37 is awesome.

  • MAN.....I wish there were more cops like Andy in todays world!!!

  • @nextdrink45

I was a cop in Australia in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Let me tell you that there were many of us who, like 'Andy', believed that what we were doing was right and helped; sometimes we were just a bit 'unorthodox' about how we did our job. But the streets were a lot safer then and we had some status out there. Today cops get spat at, abused and smackeed as a matter of course. Only one answer to my breed - RESPECT THROUGH FEAR!

  • @brianverl You'll get no argument from me sir. My dad is a retired police Capt. here in the states. He served from 1967 - 1986, and let me tell you, people respected the cops unlike today. I have no problem at all giving some scumbag criminal an extra pop to the head in order to get a point across. Or just telling some scumbag that instead of running after him and wasting energy, the cop will just shoot him in the foot. Thanks for your service sir.

  • @brianverl Just to let you and Nextdrink45 know there are alot of people who are grateful for the service police do. And alot of us normal citizens support you men and women no matter what. I think there are too many cry babies who can dish it out but cant take it when it comes to hurting someone and they need a smack to hear or a boot in the ass. Theres an old saying "Let justice be served though the heavens fall." I believe that and that you were right. Thank you and Next thanks to your father

  • @Cavillier1970

Thanks Cavillier. I suspect that not too far in the future the wheel will turn and police all over the world will take back the streets. All it needs is legislators and courts to back them up. I guarantee that most good cops want to do their job properly and for their communities but so much stands in the way in this PC world. Our time will come.

  • @Cavillier1970 Thanks for the words. My dad is very proud of his time as a cop and has no regrets.

  • Anybody remember what episode that Sipowicz is stopping cars at an intersection where a crime occurred and a motorist flips him the bird. Then Andy gets in a pursuit with the guy. That was hilarious.

  • If Sipowicz and Sauron was to interrogate a suspect, Sipowicz would play the bad cop.

  • great compilation; thank you so much!

  • He's beating up Jim Caveziel, Jesus! Sipowicz is beating up Christ! lol

  • The bird is hilarious..

  • @ipsissimus1

they only have seasons 1 through 4 out on DVD right now. i don't know why they don't bring out the other seasons on dvd. i'm waiting on them too. it's my favorite show.

  • So am I! I don't agree with the way some of those officers handle those they're questioning, (especially Sypowicz,) but I agree that it's a great show! It's clearly still a hit, so why doesn't 20th Century Fox get off their High-Horse and give us what we want, the remaining 8 seasons of NYPD Blue on DVD!

  • thanks for the reply. my favourite show too. love the mixture of humour & serious issues. Dennis Franz is a very talented guy

  • does anyone know if the series with Ricky Schroeder is available on DVD? I cant find it anywhere in the UK. if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

  • Sipowicz slapping around the guy in the jail cell is amazing. Somehow I can't see that playing out in real life that way.

  • @stevea138, it wouldn't. Not without the officer being investigated for excessive force or police brutality.

  • @stevea138

thats why i hated this show with a passion

no interviews taped, gross coercion, cops taking the due process of law into their own hands.

and they are soooooooo boring as characters.

  • @heathirving Yeah, its better to let the scumbags go free than to break some rules in order to put them away. I say hang the fuckers on PPV for $55.99 and fix the deficit. Fuckin hippies

  • I see where some cops got the idea that it's ok to beat confessions out of people. LOL!

  • I am looking for the scene with Mos Def & Sipowitz

Mos calls Sipowitz "Clowny Man" Do you have it?

One of the greatest moments on NYPD

  • hahahahahaha this guy is the greatest

new york tv cop of all time and his name is andy sipowitz thank you steven not cannell steven boscho aka bosci

  • best tv cop in history of television

  • Earlier Sipowicz would've been better.

  • 1:12-1:43. LMFAO! Reminds me of when I was in my twenties working with an older guy who was gruff as hell but was a good friend. He passed away this year.

  • i had someone like that when i was starting my career, but once i got to know him he became my best friend. still gruff as hell though.

  • BEST tv cop..., no, BEST tv show ever.

Watching Andy Sipowiczs took me thought some hard times off my life.

  • 1:54 I think Andy was still upset about the domestic violence victim who was killed in the beginning of series 2

  • Best TV cop ever...

  • @TommyRoastBeef76 I'd say #1 Joe Friday, #2 Andy Sipowicz tied with Lenny Briscoe, #3 Mac Taylor

  • @TommyRoastBeef76 I'd say #1 Joe Friday, #2 Andy Sipowicz tied with Lenny Briscoe, #3 Mac Taylor

  • Oh yeah, I was gonna mention that, there's somethin' wrong with your bird. It's been saying that ever since I got in, LOUD.

  • 'douchebag'

  • Definately the best cop show on tv. I cannot believe they only ever released the first 4 series on dvd in the UK. When you consider some of the crap released on dvd this is unforgivable. If anyone out there knows when the other series are coming out on dvd in the UK let me know!!

  • and none of these "scumbags" would have seen one day in jail,

cos none of the interviews were taped.

  • NYPD Blue was truly groundbreaking drama. Dennis Franz is easily the best actor of his generation & his partnership with Jimmy Smits (Bobby Simone) is still standout tv. Remember without Andy Sipowicz there could never have been a Vic Mackey in The Shield so we have much to be grateful to Dennis Franz for. Total Respect.

  • @kaalee100 I agree that Sipowicz is one of the greatest TV characters of all time, but I don't agree that Vic Mackey or that trainwreck we call "The Shield" is Sipowicz's legacy or fault.

  • ...and techniquly your a man dan...so i knock you around...

  • Is that Chad Allen? 03:55-05:00

  • Okay theres good cop bad cop..Andy is bad cop and the other bad cop all in one.

  • Great "Sipowicz" moments, the one I wish that could've been on here, the classic brawl in the locker room with him and Lieutenant Fancy, that was awesome, one of the most memorable scenes in the series.

  • Great compilation. Thanks for posting it.

  • 4:35-4:45

    epic policing! :D

  • Sipowicz says "I am a lie-detector"... and it goes from there. If anyone knows where that is..it would be awesome.

    "Beep-Beep"

  • thats from season two. when detective adrienne lesniak's first day in the 15th squad.

  • If I could find it I'd send it but 1 moment - That if you can find it would be something PERFECT to add to this would be from the 1st episode of season 12 where there new Lt. comes in & Sip says "I've heard of a Bale in I.A.B. you know him?" Bale says yep that's me, Bale goes into his office & Sipowicz says to all of the other detectives" the time to start covering your tails is now guys" - TOTALLY Sip!

  • hey alguien me puede decir donde conseguir la serie completa de esta serie esta super al guien digame por fabor gracias ok

  • Sipowicz is funny as hell when he needs to be! Best TV cop ever!

  • andys the top man my all time fave cop

  • The scene with Sipowicz and Medavoy was hilarious!

  • Does anyone know which episode it is ( 6:24 ) where he sends the guy to the prison up state where it's " ten below in the yard "

  • I think its called 'Old Man Quiver'. I am pretty sure its from Season 12.

  • I think you got some of the best Sip tune-ups from the last seasons. Franz is still great. If you want more suggestions go to seasons 1 ; the pilot, Emission Accomplished, season 2; Cop suey. season 3, torah torah torah, blackboard jungle...The epi where Andy gets drunk and smashes his tv set --that maybe season 2. Me, I think the earlier episodes are better written. Actually I think COP SUEY and EMISSION ACCOMPLISHED are 2 of the best all round--just avoid Diane epi imo. Thanks for posting.
