Is the copy of the letter Jefferson wrote to the Baptist ministers available for you to read? The term 'separation of church and state' is found in that letter, but not in the Constitution. Is it not true that Jefferson was attempting to reassure these Christians that there would not be a repeat of the Church of England type oppression?

The second paragraph mentions a Creator. both of these words in the original document has the first letter in caps. there are 4 mentions in total. Article 7 of the Constitution ties the Declaration of Independence to the Constitution. This article also mentions their Lord with the first letter in caps. If you do not believe in God, so be it. But don't try to twist and skew the words of the Founding Fathers to make people believe they were atheists and haters of the Christian religion. If you do the research you will find that their faith in God played an important role in the lives and works of our Founding Fathers.

It seems that Mr. Barton is just trying to revise the already 'revisionist' history that has been popularized by textbook writers in the last 80 years. Is the copy of the letter Jefferson wrote to the Baptist ministers available for you to read? The term 'separation of church and state' is found in that letter, but not in the Constitution. Is it not true that Jefferson was attempting to reassure these Christians that there would not be a repeat of the Church of England type oppression?

the first paragraph of the declaration of independence mentions God. The second paragraph mentions a Creator. both of these words in the original document has the first letter in caps. there are 4 mentions in total. Article 7 of the Constitution ties the Declaration of Independence to the Constitution. This article also mentions their Lord with the first letter in caps. Please read the documents and see for yourself .
