This board is known to overheat and is a cheap respsonse from MSI for the competitors. I did'nt like it and MSI has been known to bribe the public related media review authors. Junk really a company that thought it was on the rise in the gaming industry when the can't play the game means nothing and thats what you get from MSI.

I just don't get one thing (call me a noob if you want to....), but what OS actually uses like 12GB and 24GB of RAM!? I know that Mac OSX uses alot of RAM, but thats only on Apple Hardware...so what OS really uses that much memory...

I Have this board, GREAT,BEST I have 2 TV cards, 6GB 1333 DDR3, all Usbs a used + 2 extra(Remote, Xbox Wireless Controllers, etc, GTX285, 4 Hard drives, External HDs, Printer, SLI compatible, If Nvdia dont comeback I will add A 2nd GTX285 or the GTX385. 2 speaker sets (5.1=Games & 2.1=Music/Films) Combined for the best Sound experience.....MAN i love this board...play all games. @Marcelusch=Yes it will still bring the best out of the 5xxx series. Damn put them in Crossfire if you want!!

I got my second MSI-790gx-G65 board now, and both of the boards only lasted about a minute after first start up then the computer suddenly shut off. and now when I turn the computer on the second time I get no Picture. this happen to me with two MSI- G-65 Motherboards. I returned the second MSI board, and will be getting the Gigabyte 790XT board. : )

ugh this board was not working so I rma it. And I just got it yesterday. Set it up and still not working. All my connections are fine. When i power up everything goes on cept nothing on screen.

But the screen knows its connected since it is yellow. when i unplug it from the computer it says not connected. Please some one help. Should I RMA this again? is that the problem..

Yeah he did say crossfire only. Some X58 boards only support the one of them for some reason, mostly being crossfire. I know of another board that is the same only has CF, the DSX58S0 from intel and the Ex58-DS4 from Gigabyte.
