  • @jskrabac - It was more for fun. The guys were doing it standing on bumper plates for more ROM and I thought, "hey! That looks like fun I wanna do that!" So I did it once with no straps and realized that my grip was limiting me, so I put some straps on and pulled it for five. It was on a whim and just for fun... definitely not planned in my training. My best pull to date for anyone who cares is 341 in competition. =)

  • Are you training the lockout with this one? Where do you fit this into your training? At the front end, like an overload, or as accessory work after your main lift?

  • yes ... she does not turn it up that loud, as you can see she adjusts her tech with the q's we are giving her

  • Did 315 from the floor last week. You can see it under Red Point Fitness 315 deadlift. Form was NO GOOD... butt came up and I "stiff-legged" the weight up. With better form I think I can pull in the 350's pretty easily! =D

  • I know she did just under 300 at a deadlift meet a couple years ago .... she is going to try 315 on tues .... we will put it up

  • Nice lift. It's refreshing to see that there are also gals who dare do a deadlift or shortened version of it, the rack pull. Keep it up!

  • I have lifted 285 from the floor without straps, and I am going for 300 next week (from the floor) but if I am going for more than 2-3 reps with 235+, then it is best for me to use straps. That way I can really focus on pushing through my heels, squeezing my upper back and I don't have to worry about dropping the weight. =D

    And oh yeah, not afraid of getting too big at all! I mean, I don't WANT to be really big, but it doesn't happen overnight and is quite tough to do... that's for sure.

  • she is def not worried about getting too big she has been trying to put on muscle for several years. it is so tuff for women to on muscle mass. she pulled the 405 for one without strap had a hard time holding on to it. but she did it. this is not something she trained for it was a spur of the moment. we (mylifting crew) were doing pin pulls and she said I can lift that ... and she did .... goodtimes
