  • When Liketotallyawesome used to be good.

    Now it's just shit.

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Well, it's got the guy from jarhead in it so love it!

  • Love it !!

  • This also makes the assumption that if you are in this dead person's memories, then somehow you can discover more about other people and things around you, even though it's just a memory. Other people behave accordingly to his actions - if it was just a memory, that would be impossible. This film's explanation was completely illogical.

  • @oscarnodiaz Its about time travel/dimensional travel... of course it's not logical :D. I think what they said which you have to believe if you want to absorb the movie is that by using the memories of that person they can place you in the dimension and time. So basically the memory of the second where he wakes up is the only memory thing they take into account. After that he's just in that dimension. The memories are a gateway to that time and place. I think. But yes illogical :/

  • Looks like another awesome movie ruined by a love plot.

  • AWEEEESOOOMMMEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

  • Dont know what our thinking? But this definetly looks like one of the best movies ever !!!. Gonna watch it directly.

  • This is 50% Deja vu, 50% Butterfly Effect. Looks good!

  • Just saw this movie...One of the best movies iv seen

  • This dosen't rip from inception just saw it, awsome movie! Its like a really good sci fi/action thriller version of grounhog day.

  • Just saw this movie, the girl isnt the bomber fyi so u can still see it, and it was GREAT!! yes it was like but deffinently not close to inception, in this movie he is phisicly the other person.

  • @bobino2468 i dont get how, upon entering another mans body, would the stipulation of 8 minutes be enforced. thats what i dont get, or why it would be 8 minutes as opposed to 9 or 10 or 7. and this is if it can be accurately explained how entering another mans body is feasible in the first place. sorry for the late repy

  • @Merc399 the theory in the movie states "just like a light bulb turns off, there's an afterglow,

The brain is like that. It's electromagnetic field remains charged, just briefly, even after death. Circuits remain open. Using a short term memory track, that records the last 8 minutes of activity (it inevitable will stop recording upon death)."

  • @Merc399 On a related yet random cognitive psychology side-note... the Short Term Memory is extremely brief measured in seconds, no where near 8 minutes in length, and the effect of "recording memory" (like a movie or pictures) is a fallacy. Only things that are "attended to" are recorded(encoded), the amount of things an average person can 'attend to' are 7 digits, objects ect. +/- 2, and if they aren't carrying some sort of "significance" or are "rehearsed" they will decay rapidly and be lost.

  • @Merc399 they also mentioned "X died on that train. Of all the passengers aboard, he was your possible link. You two share compatibility in terms of gender, body size and your synaptic maps."

If you haven't seen it yet its a good movie, and I'm a stickler for fake science in movies.

  • @xitachix that does nt address how you could enter another persons conciousness. ok so he had similarities in physique... how does that explain entering his onciousness before he died, after he was dead?

  • @Merc399 "compatibility in synaptic maps" following Jungian psychology its theorized that we all have a linked collective unconsciousness, not to say i believe it. Also Steven Hawkins has a theory on multiple simultaneous realities each slightly different than the last based on decisions made by your alternate self, existing next to each other in a linear path, and that we could perhaps access them and gain insight and knowledge.

  • @Merc399 , if we follow current theories inductively we can hypothesize it would be possible with matching synaptic mapping to when jumping realities or "reliving that recorded memory, left accessible from the 'halo' or afterglow that remains after a life ends" that we would be able to access another's consciousness. This does however take the assumption that there is a separation between mind, and brain--which is a topic thats currently being discussed in both logic and psychological realms.

  • @Merc399 he's also not entering his consciousness "before he died" he's reliving the recorded moment that remains after the subject died.

Either way the movie makes a lot of claims that are very spiritual, and assumes that consciousness can be transferred or can leave your body. I have yet to see empirical evidence to support OBE or the ability to separate ones consciousness, so in the end its all just a great sci-fi story to me, and that's all it really claims to be.

  • Inception's finally gettin' a rip-off

  • This movie reminds me of Quantum Leap and Groundhog day mixed together. Looks good !

  • I love Duncan Jones

  • Really intresting--Leads the question if U could change the past would U, even not knowing waht the ramfications would be??

  • bb whhattt hhoooowwwww cool

  • unlimited continues!!!!!!! the meaning of life

  • i like the trailer and the movie looks great. i can't wait to watch it

  • like an inception/matrix/deja vu/whatever the fuck had a kid...but cool concept, prbly shuld check it out

  • Probably, the main character IS the bomber and the bomb is in his briefcase the whole time.

  • Oh, a Total Recall knock-off.

  • another "its like the matrix, but..."

  • Looks like avatar and Deja vu fucked

  • @MRcrashaddict THIS FUNNY

  • It's either him or the girl.

  • looks epic

  • I think the shaun guy did it cuz then they can have a scene where the guy goes; Oh crap! I did it!

  • Deja vu + The Matrix hmmmn I'll prolly rent this.

  • I remember when Bill Murray made this movie..

Oh wait that was Ground Hog Day. hate it.

  • From Duncan Jones who brought us Moon..

Trailer doesn't give me much but I hope there's a nice twist to all of this..

  • Dejavu. At least i think thats the movie they are ripping off is called

  • this is retarded... i can buy the idea of sifting through memories, but making your own experiences in a memory? that's fuckin retarded

  • wow, this sounds amazing :D

    also: jake gyllenhaal! :DD

  • meh

  • I like it, but because of twat4002 I'm gonna wait for a DVD release, because I lost interest, lol xD

  • A recycled plot that's been done to death ("Groundhog Day," "Seven Days," etc) but with enough of a scifi twist and what appears to be compelling acting to make it interesting. I'm saying Red Box it.

  • Ok. Question - if this train is going to blow up and it DID blew up and another one is going to blow, so how can the bomber be on the train? And how would it help if they found out who the bomber is, if he is on the train, he still blows up :D?

  • "You have 8 minutes, make them count!" - "I have to pee." :D

  • beet he is the bomber

  • Omg amazing movies coming out this year!! This and limitless!!

  • I agree with @InAGorillaSuit

  • oh great, another hollywood movie built around a two-word catch phrase by a writer / writers who don't understand the meaning of the term at all.

    FAIL!!!!!!

  • @autotunedsoul, the only thing worse than twilight are pussy little bitches like you who defend it like a teenage little girl. Your utter stupidity is amusing to those with an iq higher than a four year old.

  • @aquamadman

I bet you doont even know what IQ stands for without looking it up

  • Interesting....... >-)

  • They stole VALVe's source code, theys be has a lawsuit on theirs hands... Gordon's gonna be mad, same with Gabe Newell...

  • Deja Vu+Groundhogs Day= Source Code

  • nice

  • wait, so let's say he did save her. Then, when he taps out of the person's memory (i.e out of the source code), how the fuck will the relationship work?? That's like directly taking someone's girlfriend by force, this is the best cheat ever!

  • Genius! Love it! Im already falling in love with the characters of the film.

  • As soon as I saw SUMMIT I said Hate It!

    (Twilight)

  • @MsKHtheAddict - Awwww, butthurt Twilight hater who knows nothing about movie production. Your pitiful existence makes me smile. :)

  • @AutoTunedSoul Ouch is your existence solely based on insulting youtube commenters. It clearly was just a joke. I have no problem with Twilight as a film. I'm just making a joke about the bad reputation of Summit, but I know it has nothing to do with this movie. It has potential and shouldn't be over shadowed by the Twi-hard Saga.

  • The best goddamn thing they could do with such a huge concept is make it into a "save the girl" movie? Same thing they did with Deja Vu. Hell, this is pretty similar to Deja Vu. They could've made this a huge, epic movie with that concept......

  • came here thinking it was going to be a movie about some programmer or something

  • it's probably gonna be the guy who's body he went in

  • I don't feel like watching 8 min. over & over & over again.

  • You cannot ulter this reality in the deja vu.....

  • good idea and all but i wanna know what that advice he gave her was :P

  • this look pretty cool actually :)

  • sweetttt

  • man what a waste they pretty much put the whole movie in teh trailer.

was gonna see it at teh beginning but by the end it kinda feels like whats the point now sheesh

  • JIZZED.

  • its allmost like that TV show 6 days

  • same concept as inception but instead of going into someone's dream it goes to someone's memory. must watch

  • i'd watch it and slightly enjoy!

  • I'd watch it honestly

  • Please, don't be another "Deja Vu"... please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please, please...

  • ........FAIL 'in bold and underlined'

  • Does look cool.

Its kinda like playing a game. Fail instant back to start, take a ste- fail damn it. Back to start FAIL, DAMN IT!!!

  • @RtGFuSiOn Yeah i agree Playing with the Dead's Memory

  • looks cool

    no seriously

  • w8 so this is a time machine? if so its a time machine that u can go into another person's mind? and controll him/her? huh...great concept (no sarcasam)

  • Wait, is this real?! That looks fucking retarded

  • Sounds cool

  • I'm in!

  • This is much like the string theory, beyond the perception of 3 dimensions we are aware of.

  • love it

  • I thought this was gonna be something to do with Half Life. I wish it had been.

  • WOOOOOW!

  • Like Totaly AWESOME!

  • this movie looks fing awsome

  • Way to rip of quantum leap :/

  • Gotta say when I clicked on the video at first I saw Source Code my first thought is that it had something to do with Valve's Source Engine or something. So dissapointed :P

  • The girl's the bomber. It's so obvious.

  • The plot is marginally believable, but if he could actually change the past that would be BS.

  • quantum leap much?

  • What do I think? I think it's annoying that after watching the trailer the only reason for me to watch the movie would be to see how it ends, which I could find out by asking somebody else instead of spending the ticket price myself. Seriously, the trailer already tells a whole story in the form of descriptive soundbites, and the fact that it CAN be told as such makes me dubious about the quality of the film.

  • Just like Deja Vu

  • why, oh why do trailers give away LITERALLY the entire storyline nowadays.

  • The whole concept was stolen from the agents in the matrix

  • ground hog day and seven days and donnie darko ^_^

  • has this come out yet?

  • It has an interesting premis but it has potential to be total shit

  • my betting is on her as the bomber

  • @twat4002 or the body of the person he's taken over O_o

  • @twat4002 or the person he's taken over O_o

  • @twat4002 She is no jihad-suicide bomber imo.

  • one big video game....

  • Looks like he finally made a decent movie

  • Run Lola Run 98?

  • Groundhog Day + Deja Vu

    I like it

  • ...soooo this is the Matrix.

  • looks amazing i like it i give it two thumps up

  • I like it. I think its a unique idea, lets hope they don't mess it up

  • looks great

  • Meh, so they just got a machine that can put you in any person's life 8 minutes before they die but we're still using shitty trains? Fuck me.

  • @XxSayrosxX Hahaa! YES. THIS.

  • Looks fucking epic and my girlfriend fancies Jake so it's a good excuse to go :D

  • looks like it be great movie

  • (Matrix+Deja Vu)*Vantage Point/(Unstoppable)= The Source Code

  • @DuncanHeidkamp inception?

  • @DuncanHeidkamp

    +Inception

  • soooo it's like the Matrix? With a better looking hero.

  • cool movie, retarded theme

  • @ManlyMcBuff can you explain?

  • @wnymph its definably looks good, the actors and how well it was made, but before you saw this trailer... if someone told you they have an idea for a movie and told you about this... most people would think thats kind of retarded... its like making a movie about bread and allowing Steven Spielberg to direct it

  • @ManlyMcBuff LOL k, gotcha

  • looks awesome

  • looks good

  • Oh wait Minority Report has already been made.

  • looks amazing

  • This sounds like mindfuck to me haha, it looks like it could be a good movie though :)

  • Yeah it's either going to be amazing or a piece of shit. I hope is the first one.

  • i get a quantum leap kinda feel from it but all in all it looks like its worth a watch

  • Meh... Not very impressive.

Reminds me of Deja Vu with Densel Washingtion.

  • i think it was a pretty cool trailer, and it could be cool. but i also i feel like it could be way to similar to.. umm.. what's it called... blech. the movie that showed the same assassination from like eight different people's vantage point. VANTAGE POINT. that's the name , funny how that works :P. Anyways, just super repetitive and obnoxious. not to mention confusing.

  • Could be great or REALLY shitty.

  • Trailer - OK , Story - OK

  • I think it's an ingenious - the idea that life itself can be reworked mathematically/virtually to recreate events that have taken place would have awesome potential...

however, the plot of the protagonist wanting to change what has already happened reminds me of Deja Vu staring Denzel Washington and Val Kilmer...

My call is that they tell him it's a computer program recreating events, but instead its actually traveling through time... in effect, the source code is time...

    boosh.

  • love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why does everyone call this a Matrix ripoff? This doesn't look like the Matrix at all.

  • Only one mission?? that's sucks

  • Ehh. "Computer program you can link up to" bla bla bla matrix bla bla bla crappy actors matrix.

  • Interesting. Although you can pretty much guess how it'll end simply from the trailer. I hate when that happens.

  • Matrix ripoff? Sounds interesting though

  • never heard of this movie before, but looks interesting

  • it looks really good

  • ............. sounds stupid imo

  • I thought i was watching love and other drugs for a second

  • So Inception spin-off basically.

  • How he lands at 2:16 is funny.

  • a bit of a cheesy idea, but i would like to see it

  • So it all becomes about a girl he just meets?

  • @CatPartyProductions no it all about him trying to save the girl and the people on the train, but its actually an alternate reality that's fake but he thinks he can stop the bomb from blowing up the train, and change actual reality.

  • @FTandOSWL its not an alternate reality thats "fake". its just events that already happened

  • @ThatKidOnTheWeb that is what i mean. The event isnt fake but the reality itself is

  • yeah i wanna see this lol

  • this actually looks pretty bad ass

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • this is like black ops campain on so many levels but not with the whole 8 minute plot

  • WANT WANT WANT WANT TO SEE IT!

  • Next movie to come out will be Executable, after that will be Algorithm, Machine Code, Pseudocode
