  • Thanks to your videos I think I have officially decided to have a tummy tuck after I have one more baby. I have a 4 month old. My problem is I'm covered in stretch marks! Did you have any? I know from belly buttom down then will be gone but what if their on your hips? Anyone who didn't get them I am so jealous. -_-

  • Hello Becky. How much was that surgery (if you don't mind me asking) and can you share the surgeons info? I'm searching for an excellent doctor who can perform the same for me. Thanks for sharing!! ;)

  • I just had my tummy tuck on May 5, 2011. I have watched all of your videos and they helped me get a perspective on what I was going to go through. You look really good and I want to thank you for posting your journey. I also would like to add that I agree with you that the muscle repair is the most painful part of the surgery. I had problems coughing and trying to sit and get up. I also puked 4 days after and I wanted to die. You don't really know how much you use your stomach muscles.

  • Becky.....I am going for my tummy tuck on May 2nd. Thank you so much for sharing your story you have been an inspiration to me! I am so excited, and nervous, but most of all I am excited. This is something I have dreamed about for 19 years. Once again thank you for sharing and you look FABULOUS!!!!

  • Your videos are very informative and helpful! Thx for the posts!!!

  • lol

  • Hi Becky,

I just found your videos last week and have found them very informative. I am considering a tummy tuck myself...I have had two 9 pound babies :o) I'm sure you've probably answered this question before but I am curious what exercise routine you followed after your surgery?

    Thank-you,

    Kristine

  • You look AMAZING! Yes, because of the TT but because you look happy! Your coloring is good, your attitude is great, and you inspire me. I am 4 weeks and 2 days post op. I've had 2 open ovarian surgeries and open appendectomy ... they hurt WORSE than the TT, BY FAR! Just my experience. :) TY for sharing your story.

  • @staceyendres1 Congratulations! I hope all went well!!

  • Your entire journey was such an inspiration to me.... you look Fabulous. BTW I am having my TT surgery on the 14th of Dec and I am scared to death. I just started my youtube journey and watch your videos has really helped me. You have given me such hope that I can make it through this journey. Thanks so much for all your advise and letting me watch all your experiences.

  • Hey Becky, thank u for posting all ur videos. I have been watching them all. With my two kids that i've had, they were c-sections...From the way u explain the pain u encountered and kind of still are, it is almost the same as a c-section. When coughing, sneezing, and laughing i had to take a pillow and hold it 2 my stomach 2 reduce the pain from the inside. I had 2 bend over 2 walk and i had 2 take baby steps cuz of the pain. Its been 15months since my last c-section and im still numb!

  • hey becky you look really good ..... I just had tummy tuck its my third week .... still bottom part look really big and i look like if i am pregnant...... also tell me how can i loose extra lbs

  • @naheed8306 I worked out like a mad woman for 3 months to loose the weight and limited my diet to 1200 calories a day.

  • Did you drop a dress size?

  • @tennesseekings Ooooh yes! I have dropped 3 dress sizes!

  • Hi Becky

I am scheduled to have a "mommy makeover" in 2 weeks. I am wondering if you dropped a size when all the swelling was gone?

  • Becky - thanks so much for your videos. They've been so helpful! I'm close to the 3 month mark from my tummy tuck. My stomach area is still extremely sore. Was yours at that point? At what point did you notice that this soreness went away? How soon did you start to wear pants with buttons/zippers?

  • @sassypuck I think I started wearing regular pants at around 3 months. I would say the incision was sore for a good 3-4 months, and I still experience some slight muscle repair pain even 1 1/2 years later.

  • So I just watched this video and then started watching your videos from the beginning and then I realized- you have your twins vaginally??

  • @ilovekylemeade Yes, no c-section for me -- with any of my babies. :)

  • Oh, and 1 more q? I see that you lost a bunch more weight post-op - I was curious, did you find that it was 'easier' to lose the weight in other places, once the tummy was gone? I feel I'm a similar build to you - about 3 in. taller and 10 lbs more, but I feel so gross! I feel like even if the tummy was gone, that I'd still have stuff to lose in my legs and arms. I really put some effort into it last summer, but got nowhere - just curious if you felt your efforts went further after the TT?

  • @flippetskater Yes, definitely easier for me to loose the weight after the TT -- no way you would ever find me in the gym with a sagging belly! I worked out hard core for 3 months and lost 20+ lbs. Now I just maintain -- but it was CRAZY how hard I exercised. I just had a lot of motivation -- I wanted the rest of my bod to match my flat tummy. Also, the MR pain for me is still there. But it doesn't interrupt me life. For me, it's more irritating than anything.

  • Aw, Becky, you're so cute. I've been contemplating a TT for a while now, and thanks to vids like yours, I think I'll go for it. I am concerned that you say the muscle repair still 'hurts/stings' though - do you still have issues with that? I can deal with temporary incision pain, scars don't bother me, but if MR pain/irritation lingers, I think that would really get me down. Also, when did you feel like 'you' again? I don't want to feel 'alien' and not like myself.

  • Thank you so much for posting your experience with this surgery. It was very informative and helpful. I am right now 2 weeks post op. and would like to know if your compression garment was to be "very tight" or just comfortable. By the way....you look amazing. Thanks for sharing...Michelle.

  • I am not a mother, I'm 25 years old and i've always had a tire and love handles. I talked to my surgeon about the fact that i plan on having children. He said that he woulnd't tighten my muscles as much as a mother's. I'm obviously concerned about the scar since I am still young and I love wearing swim suits, even when i am heavier. Just wondering if you have any advice on whether the scar is worth it or not.

  • @wonderingdrunk For me, yes the scar is worth it. Don't get me wrong -- it is a sacrifice. I am actually on vacation with my husband in Cancun -- I see ALL the women wearing teeny tiny bikini bottoms. I can't do that anymore -- but it's ok. I have come to terms with it. I would rather wear a higher bikini bottom that have a pizza dough belly. I guess you just have to weigh all the pros and cons. But for me, the scar is worth it. If you plan on having children I would reccomend waiting.

  • @beckrsr Thanks for responding. I was wondering if you could give me more insight into not having the surgery before having kids. I really want to get this done because my stomach always forces me to wear a size bigger than the rest of my body.

  • Hi Becky, how soon did you start running? I started running about six weeks after and sometimes I think I feel a sore stitch.

  • @madandmas I waited a full 6 months to work out -- mostly because I wasn't motivated until then. :)

  • you are an amazing person! I found your videos the day before my tt. I'm so glad that i was able to learn from you and your journey! Thank you so much for sharing. I love the most recent video of you and your family!

It's been two months since my surgery and I find that i'm still really swollen. How long was your tummy swollen? What kind of exersice did you do after your dr. cleared you? I would love to lose 15 lbs and I just started going back to the gym.

    Thanks!

  • @madandmas Congratulations! My swelling lasted about 6 months. As far as exercise--I did it ALL. Heavy weight lifting, HIIT, running, rowing, hiking, etc. Eating clean was the biggest factor behind my success.

  • Hey just wanted to thank you for all the information you have shared. I go for my tummy tuck in December. you look beautiful.

  • @ladybug186 Thank you so much :) xoxo

  • I am 7 weeks post op. Did your belly button ever go in? My Belly button looks very scary. How long did you wear your compression garments? I just started being able to sleep on my side. Please send me an email and let me know. Thank you :-) Dana.Paiva@cox.net

  • @M25Mariah1 My belly button never really did tuck in. But it no longer bothers me. it takes awhile for it to heal completely, just give it time. I wore my compression garment until four weeks. In addition I wore the gelzone wrap until 12 weeks.

  • Hey Becky can you add our website to your videos?? thanks shuga

    xoxoxo

  • Currently pregnant with twins. use to model 5 10' 130 lbs. You give me hope that I can regain my body. I will get a TT if needed. You look Amazing!!! Celebrate your new body. You deserve it.

  • @72bowman Wow -- pregnant w/ twins! It is a very exciting time . . .congratulations! Thanks for your awesome comment. :)

  • Is there something you need to upload more videos, 4g card, 8g card? Send me a message if this would help you. Thanks Cheryl

  • @tc26981 Hi cheryl -- that's so sweet of you. My 4 g card died . . .so that day all I had was a 1 g!!! I finally picked up a new 8 g today. :)

  • All of your videos have been helpful. This one is good because I know what to expect in terms of pain after the pump is gone and then months later to know that your muscles burn. When I have these pains, I won't panic and think something is wrong. Answer more questions, more about the things that you did that helped, i.e. be clearer about what you did for incision and other things you did, vitamins, lotions, etc. Great job!

  • @tc26981 thanks for the awesome feedback! Those are very good questions you have about scar treatment . . .maybe I can put together a vid just about that! Would love to do that for you. Keep your eye out for it . . . :)

  • haha i completely remember how painful it was to laugh. i kept getting mad at people when they made me laugh.. at one point i started to cry it hurt so bad, but i wanted to laugh still lol

anyways, its cool you are making these Q & A vids. :) its cool relating to others that went through a TT.

  • @kristine0002 Yes, laughing HURTS -- my mum made me laugh so hard . . .I seriously thought my insides wre going to burst. Thank goodness it doesn't do any damage though. :)

  • i know how you felt... i had my twin girls all natural. I wanted the epidural but had dialated too fast :(

  • @twingirlsmom08 OH GOSH -- You are incredible! Were you induced via pitocin?? Good grief. I don't know how you did it. That was the most horrible pain EVER.
