would've loved to have been in that store that day....so simple it makes you drool....any fool can complicate things but so nice to here a more feelings based sound :)
@AtleHaaland Yeah... it's a root strum pattern... He anchors on a C shape so it may be a bit confusing to watch his hands. It's Am G C... and later on it turns C F... it's just a different combination... During the little solo it's Pulls and hammers on the the Am/Amsus7... The solo is really just playing the same thing but sliding the bar a few octaves higher.
@16metres Circa late '60s to mid '70s Shure Green Bullets. First used as broadcast mics then harmonica mics. I personally own one of the newer ones with the volume pot and they still sound fucking great. They also sing through amps, what sounds like a Fender Deluxe or similar. Thee Oh Sees also utilize this technique, though with regular mics or modified telephone receiver mics.
They will be big. Just give it time and then they will lose the sound you loved and then you will hate them but you can say you heard them before anyone else i.e. when they were unique and good....GODDAMN THEY ARE GOOD!!!!! and lucky me they are playing at my bar next thurs!
@alexthayer Because they had a few albums of music that was unlistenable. They just recently decided to put out another great album oh and for a good long time the band never played a real set. I can think of 4 times when I saw them that they played 3 songs and 30 minuets of just noise. Aside from that they deserve all the praise they get for the music that they make. They are an awesomely talented group of folks.
where can i get your music???
