i know this is odd but this is the only way I could get in touch with you. I was wondering if you could give me some advice.I have a roudn nose scraper that I use quite a bit and I was noticing today that it is getting a little loose in the handle. The handle has a brass ferule and I tried gently hitting it with a hammer but that didn't help. Is there any way you could suggest that I might use to tighten the tool back up in the handle?
The usual method to tighten a tool in its handle is to hold the tool vertically with the blade up and bounce it on a solid object, like your benchtop. The inertia of the blade will drive it deeper into the handle. An alternative method is to hold the tool horizontally and give the end of the handle a few good raps with a mallet, which accomplishes the same thing. It is usually just low humidity making the handle wood shrink a bit that make it loose.

Excellent tutorials, Bob. I was successful in making a winged box on my first try after watching your videos (and taking notes).
