I`m an atheist and was going down to check out the festival with my atheist wife. We wanted to sample a little bit of the arab culture and food, but were abused by christians similar to these guys. When we told them we wern`t Muslim or Christian they got extremely angry, claiming that we were turning our backs on god. I told them i have been an atheist all my life and god has never had my back, which made them even angrier.
But I believe in a God who does not command fear towards His name, but invites us to come by the pleading of His Holy Spirit towards our hearts to accept the truth of love and forgiveness Christ offered to us by taking our sins upon Himself so that we would not be "naked" and ashamed on the Last Day before a just God looking at our sins.

Going to a religious festival to promote a different religion is poor judgment. They shouldn't have been there. I think they were arrested because the police were afraid somebody would be hurt, maybe a riot. An evening in jail is not persecution. How would the self-styled 'persecution victims' like to have someone promoting Islam at a Christian event? But I think Event Security should have escorted them out, not police arrest them. It's not the police's job. Where was security?
