  • Microscopic thinking is not what's needed for the biosphere. Big Picture thinking scientists, big picture critical thinking.

  • Bjorn deliberately avoided answering the question he was asked very simply: "What's your tipping point?"

  • He did answer the question; His tipping point is; at the time when we have taken all the other necessary steps to aleviate aids in Africa (handing out condems, education, law and order, clean water etc. etc) then we can consider tackling the remaing aids problem by reducing CO2 emmisions.

  • you may also want to consider, that CO2 warming operates on a logirithmic scale, which means, every molecule you add to the atmo, has less warming than the one you added just before it

    meaning, CO2 has built into it a maximum impact it can make

    also, this means if the first doubling of CO2 doesn't end the world, then doubling it again won't, and doubling it again won't

    and just to ram this point home, what CO2 content was in the atmo during the Cambrian explosion?
