I sure hope this gets viewed by all levels of government and even perhaps the diving community. It is not alarmist if the only ones getting an education on what is going down (excuse the pun) behind the scuttling are the No Ship Action Group. It would be a huge disaster for all to pay for a long time to come if the scuttling goes ahead - again - and it's it not too late to stop it.

This is a disturbing film which all pro scuttlers should watch! Will the new state government after the March elections be willing to take responsibility for clean up, beach replacement and perhaps even class action re effects of pollutants? It will be their decision. Once its down its down, why take the risk?

Stop this madness. The NSW State Government is in it's wobbling death throes: but they need to stop destroying the State along with themselves. Don't be remembered in history standing by while Avoca Beach was ruined, Kristina Keneally. One last brave act, please. Stop this bad scuttling plan.

Mike a great film which tells the real facts and as all these statements can be backed up with real research articals and expert witness advice.I am all for why take the risk and possible ruin a unique beach in Australia. This sinking must be stopped or we may all regret it.

If this doesn't alarm those responsible - namely the government both local and state, then it's all an (unfortunately expected) sham! We have gone backwards in our treatment of the environment compared to world standards - this is unacceptable. Why are people sitting back and allowing this ludicrous scuttling to happen when it is toxic and will ruin Avoca Beach - and it will be forever!
