They had to put more time, care, and attention into effects during the 80s than they do now. And it shows now because so many effects are lazy looking, cartoony looking when they shouldn't be. Scream was like a spoof of those classic 70s 80s horror films.. and Scream was about trying to find out who the killer is, it was a thrill of the storyline back in the 90s.. Drag Me to Hell is a horror thriller it should be at least scary or keep you on the edge of your seat with whats going to happen next.. I got none of that, saying this is the best is just wrong
