1.) A TV rating cannot be changed just with the flick of a wrist. Plus the rating attracts higher-paying sponsors that wouldn't be associated with a TV-14 rating.

2.) Chairshots to the head is not the same as chairshots in general. At the very most, chairshots played a very small role in the success of the AE, and not nearly as big as you may want yourself to believe.
