that water vortex is a great tool in real life! i used to work in a restaurant and we had giant sinks to wash things in and at the end of the night we had to drain them and clean them. but it took them like 30 min. to drain!!! my friend taught me to use my hand to get the molecules moving circular like that to create the tornado. needless to say it only took one minute to drain it from then on. its so fast and efficient!

i did this with a few tbsp's of gasoline with a motor on the the spinning standwith the screen attached at 570 rpm and when i lit it, it had a much cooler effect

Warm air and fire in conjunction with cool air depending on the area and spread of the fire can cause a swirl on the flames making it spin and start to rotate faster and faster. Its very peculiar phenomenon and its very interesting.
