Definitely got chills at the end. Mike May was my band/orchestra/jazz band teacher in high school. I have all the respect in the world for him.

My sister was in this show. My family visited her on campus during a rehearsal, and I got to climb the scaffolding to see it from a better viewpoint. Being a freshman in high school at the time, I was simply blown away! I still get chills remembering the first time I heard the show, even if it was only in a rehearsal. Very lucky they did this show in 2000 instead of 2001. Would have been WAY more controversial a year later & probably shut down. Amazing show! Solidified my love of marching band!

Most of the cheering in during the "scary optical illusion" is for something that can be seen in this vid -- the cymbals (which we're lit on fire).

I have to say, this is one of my favorties out of the shows I've marched!

Only on this third vid did I notice the conductor at the center with his waving arms...I'll definitely have to watch these again!

Great performances, I can only imagine what they must've been like live! (the marching band--I did see Boingo live!) ;D
