That God Almighty "Aww,Cmon Man,.." from john .he coulda been from Oklahoma! Love ya Brother, wherever you are. in memory Rick "king of flames" Egbert, Abilene,TX
what year was more american grafitti set in ? Didnt they show Milner's picture at the end of the first one and say he got killed by a drunk driver in 1964.
@billylanefan2007 Well, it was a montage of different years. It showcased the main characters from American Grafitti. Milners segments were in 1964, Bowlander was married to Laurie and their story was circa 1965, Debbie 1966 and Toad 1967. Check out the movie and pay attention to Milner driving home from the track in his 32 after the drags. Watch headlight of on-comming vehicle. Good movie, of course Milner segments are the best; bad ass!!! Enjoy
2:20 thats an scary ,grouling, infernal alcohol fire breathing beast asking to be unleashed . For years thats has been my favorite part of the movie . when John Milner keeps its cool dead stare at the "tree" and unleashes the scfreaming beast scarring the pavement on a blurr of smoke like some unholy beast out of hell. i love this movie since i was a kid. I guess that what got me into Drag racing . Cool movie. thanks for posting it.
@the13joker I will never forget walking into the theater late with my parents holding my hand as we walked-up the steps inside the Tower Theater in Sacramento. We were meeting their friends (a married couple). "He" was really into cars, and we were walking to our seats when they were pushing Milner's Rail to the staging lanes. I can still remember watching those Mag wheels turn!!!!!
paul I dont know if you were the one driving the dragster but if you havent there is nothing like it in the whole world, Take it from me. I have loved this racing for 50 years now and when it not any fun anymore I will hang up my Helmet and fire suit, I have always built my own Dragsters ( FMD ). it was cool to see Steve Evans, the last time I saw him we were on the same airplane togather flying from Denver, CO to Orange County, CA
That whining from 2:41 - 2:45...I just blew my load...
