This is a beautiful melody. It fits the words so naturally that I'm beginning to think this is the most missung song in history.
There was another recording of Auld Lang Syne I've heard that was sung this way, but it was by a solo artist on a guitar. Unfortunately, I forgot the artist's name, so I've been looking for it this whole time.

The last part of the video contains the popular modern sing-along ver. which was arr. and popularized Guy Lombardo from Canada. But, the newest is the instrumental ver. in the middle of the video, and our duet in the first part is as close to the oldest as we could do. But then again, I take that back because Tom wrote our harmonies... so maybe ours is the oldest AND the newest ;-)
