  • Don't ya have to wait till the paint is dry before you airbrush the next layer?

  • Awesome work man! thanks for posting that...it's inspiring. :)

  • This is great! you make it look really good, im gonna try this out on something now :P and dont worry im not an incompetent whiner that will try it and fail haha, thanks for the great video! keep spraying! im gonna check out your other vids now! Cheers!-Katsu

  • all you little wanna bes out there crying cause it dont look good or it sucks etc etc need to realize...this is art. not copy and paste. art is how the piece becomes reality through the eyes and talents of the artist. get over yourselves. if you dont like it dont say it sucks cause its really insulting. just express your views on the art and move on like a big boy. not insult the artist like a little child holding his yang yang doin the pee pee dance.

  • is that a red and an orange candy?

  • Some of the best tru flame youtube has to offer. Hats off!

  • Honestly, it's not so good. Why? Because there really is no contrast between fire flame and the black color. You need to leave more black color, son. I can tell you are not confident with painting the tip of the flame. That's why you just make the whole thing so big. You need more practice on painting the "WING of the FIRE", son.

  • ouch! them flames look hot.

  • how long does that take?

  • Great job! For those that don't like it. You need to accept the fact that everyone has their own style. Mine differ from this, which differ from Ed Hubbs, which differ from Lavallee, which differ from Rick Primeau.

  • boss flames man. Im gonna give it a shot tomorrow! lol big ups for the inspiration.

  • Fuckin Guy Made It Look So Easy WTF LOL!!! Awsome job guy You Know Your Shit Thats Beautiful!!

  • i really enjoyed watching this. those were some of the most detailed flames ive seen in a video so far. they actually looked like fire instead of individual flames like you see on old hot rods and what not. i agree, those were done the right way :D

  • AMAZING! Very inspirational, thanks.

  • Sweet job! Thanks for sharing and helping teach others.

  • can u do red an blue light color flames

  • airbrush skills!

  • beautiful ..... awesome work :) keep it up man .

  • Phenominal skill and imagination to bring this all together.

    Well done.

  • WTF?!>....watching you do that, it makes NO SENCE and then all of a sudden BAM!!! you have this absolutly amazing paint job....how you do that i will never know, but damn, keep up the amazing work man!!!

  • Obviously... Mike Lavalee's true fire is WAY better.. but it is okay. if you have the video which i think you do... you should really pay more attention to the amount of times he uses the darkest red and how many times he tints it back again with the orange. It looks more realistic the more times you do this step.

  • i really like the way you do the flame..i use your way of putting flames on my projects and it comes quite well...

  • i watch this vid all the time an pick up little things here an there. thanks for the tips. how bout another fire video just like this one

  • what is that u cleaned it with after u was done?

  • came out way better than i was expecting it too. good work

  • for starters .. start a fire .. take some photos .. study these photos and think about the flow and what a flame does .. sit down and paint just for fun ,without a template . like all your other work btw

  • buen travajo felisidades

  • You make it look so easy man... NICE WORK...

  • i'm sorry you don't like my work...i'd love to see how you do yours. please....teach me

  • @redhousecp Don't listen to them man!! You a perfect job!!! I wish I had half the skills you have for this!!

  • @redhousecp one day i will reach this level of craftmanship fairplay buddy

  • now if you put that stupid template down for a minute you might learn how to paint flames. A tamplate does not make a flame painter ... study some real flames now that you know how to blend colors ... Flames are never that round repeatadly ...Please do it right

  • @thecruiser2010 way to basically quote mike L

  • Mrs Delray Customs likes your video--very nice!

  • amazing ur awesome somthin i wished i could do ur a real talent!!!!

  • What is that organish clear coat u sprayed over it

  • what kind of paint you use might i ask

    thanks

  • Hey, Jason, remember me? shavguru, Could you please send me some info on how you got inspired to do your flames? I LOVED your flamed skull on the tank, I wish I could do that. How do you get what you see in your head to get to your hand? If I could get what I see there, I'd be as big as you and Ed. Help me out?

  • Toooo mesy your colors are wrong, the flame should flow to the end of the tank. Need just a little more working on the licks.

  • incubus <3

  • Awesome work! I like how your flames are random (like what fire is supposed to be) and not uniform, like so many other vids I've seen. Again, great work !!!

  • There is Noooooo point when video goes this much fast, no matter what!

  • I very much like your approach to business and rather impressively at you it turns out!))

  • absolutley fantastic whatbrush do you use and what paint/thinner ratio are you using and what are the colors, as have been using regular 2k base coat but find my brush spits dots is my paint to thick? thanks for your help cheers wayne

  • Forgive me my son, I only get on this thing about once a month, I saw your responses today and went OPH!!!!!!(OFF) Please, you are an inspiration to me, as is Mr. Hubbs, Help me out if you will. I like Ed more because I have a simular last name, TUBBS!!!!!!!! Get bvack to me and let me know if we're O.K. and send me advise if you see fit. You'll not find another negative reveiw from us!!!!!!!!

  • i can tell by your response that is is two different people. no offense taken. i unfortunately find it very annoying that anyone can come on here a post a reply with nothing to back it up. therefore i feel the need to put them in their place. thank you very much for clearing up this issue. don't worry...we're cool.

    thanks,

    jason

  • Hey, again!! Dude, I'm SSSOO sorry, You have done a FANTASTIC job!!!! I'm just now learning the flame process and hope to do as well as you. I have actually bought Ed's sheilds and the paint he recommended. Your vid was in my faves, and I let my son have my passwords, thats where the badness came from, not me!! Please, if we can get past this, I would love any tips you can give me, I really want to do this well!!!!!!! The only thing I can say bad is slow down your vid, let us enjoy!!!! Cont'd

  • Hey, Guy!! First i would like to say I am EXTREMELY sorry for my son posting the hateful comments!!! He is a big fan of mine, and takes offense to those who are better than me. We are working on that! He has told me he is sorry for the post, and has been banned from internet access for no less than two months. PLEASE understand I am a HUGE fan of Ed Hubbs, I have watched ALL of his vids and he found you through my favoritesI particularly love his water drop effects. I'm out of space see next.

  • what is the base of the paint? is it oil base? just wonder what takes the dyes the best.... cool video man

  • everything i do is in urethanes, though there are some water based alternative out there.

  • @redhousecp the colours were perfect man not to orange not too yellow, how long does it take to paint a tank like that?

  • i love it its the good ol fashion way tuaght in every tech school... nothing brings out flames like originality 2 thumbs up here

  • shavguru.....you're a fuckin dipstick.......get your hand off your knob you wanker

  • LAME!!!!!!!! A little to full of yourself, maybe?? Paid your freinds to say nice things for you?? You get WAY too offended at negative criticism!!!!!!!!!!Get a day job, LOOSER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow...now thats constructive criticism! thanks for all the time you put into your well thought out resposes. especially the way you've attacted my friend ed hubbs. i'm sure he'll appreciate that. please post some of your work so we know how it should really be done. thanks for watching!

  • Could not have done worse myself!! Congrats, all for nothing!!! Your taste in music sucks, too!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sorry, Buck, don't even look like fire! Looks like Spiderman's web!! SUCKS!!!

  • nice dogg

  • other than experience, how does he know to make each individual line and curve in that very location?

  • sheit you already said it ..experience.. after trial and error and im sure plenty of constructive criticism is what got his sheit locked down.

  • that shit is dead right i want to see it with clear i bet it looks 100 times better!!!!!!!!!

  • nice work jason, ive always liked your fire.

YZ125ccRider(Chris) from the kustom kulture lounge

  • hello great work to watch-i sitil have problems whit stencils-and dont like mine flames or that flames looking like botton holes layer on layer.

have u some tips to go for it simpel

    best regards ricky

  • hey whats the name of that song?

  • Great demonstration how to do it!

  • wow!!! thats some fucking god stuff i wish i could do that

  • i wasn't sure at first...but then with that last layer of lighter yellow...AWESOME!!

    Good work bro!

  • the way to make real flames get WD40 then light it lol

  • monsterfreak4pk

Im laughing so hard right now xD

  • you gotta check the flames on my dads softail its one of the best ive EVER seen when I get a chance i will put up a vid.

  • I've been painting cars and bikes for 10 years so I thought I would try the realistic flames...... and it looked more like mud than fire! Very nice work man!!!!

  • lol...nice comment...im a novice painter so i dont want it to sound like im patronizing you because im not...i just wanted to ask if you put a mid coat clear in between certain colors when you tried your real flames...thats the step thats most commonly missed by painters, if you dont do that then some of the colors will mix to create a muddy look...hope that was your problem, otherwise i dont know...peace man!

  • Awesome!

  • really nice

  • like it cuz its not over done!

  • I'm just starting out...so, pardon me...Is it ok to spray on glossy surface and then coat it back?

  • best of the best of the best etc.!!!!!

  • It's all about personal taste and no offense, but I think these look swiss cheezy and I wouldn't ever use yellow on a black base. It has a tendency to look green.

  • very nice job sir

  • it sucks! bec its not on my bike! hahaha!

  • Bradda dat is awesome work.

  • how long did that take to do?

  • Sweeeet.............

  • What about pearl-purple in the flame tops?

    It gives it the voilá.

  • pratice makes better

  • practice makes perfect

  • awesome stuff! not many people get the true fire look down, but youve hit the nail on the head.

  • Beautifull

  • That is ridiculously sick man!! I love the seemingly natural flame pattern. Thank's for posting and inspiring us!

  • That is fire !! Pure dope.

  • That is freakin AWESOME Jason. I am happy for you........you deserve it. You are a excellent artist and well deserved to be picked up by a company. Way to go man !Hey e-maail me and I will give you my cell so we can get together at Sema. I will be in Kustom Shop's Booth #24181

Also I don't know if you have seen the back cover of Air Brush Action but Sata also picked me up again. So it sounds like both of us are doing good. Hell YA !

I talked to Dave yesterday and am still working on tickets.

  • Hey Jason you do some tight ass flames man. Ya gonna make it to Sema this year ? If so I will buy ya a drink at the Hard Rock. Keep up the good work man.

  • Redhousecap, your work look really nice :) Can you tell me 1 thing ? What is the better way to learn airbrush ? Do i need a teacher or i can learn on videos, books or something like that ? its just for hobby, not as job thx :)

  • you know, it's hard to say. i learned the basics from my highschool art teacher. the rest was all practice, alot of research, and keeping an open mind to new products and techniques. the newer videos would work pretty well for you.

  • Look at Mike Lavallee!!!!!! Ed sucks, and you suck!!!!!!!!Do you even know what fire looks like??????You should be FIREd

  • Comment removed

  • realy good!!

question: do you use only candy colors?

and what colors are you using??

    tnhx!

  • Really nice

  • so by "the right way" you mean with no explination whatsoever, super fast time lapse video and a very crappy music soundtrack? Great we know you can do true fire thankz for keeping it a secret u premadonna jackass.

  • ok listen...point #1. in no way did i state this was an instructional video. it is an example of my work...point #2. most people who subscibe to my videos watch them and either ask questions, or are smart enough to figure out what i'm doing. point #3. you are far too young and obviously ignorant to be commenting that way. you need to calm down. stop trying to be the center of attention on someone elses video. and maybe have some of your own videos to back up your mouth you little fuck.

  • watch out for the jelous cunt.

  • fucken awsome, I'm gunna try some on my 50cc step though scooter. It'll look tight & the bitches won't be able to stop lookin at me on it.

  • WOW! That is amazing! Excellent fire!

  • sickest ive ever seen!!!!!

  • Very Nice! What song was that playing? I really liked it.....

  • someone has skills with an airbrush

  • killer paint. I do custom paint

  • You should try putting down a white base, then yellow, then red(In that order) You won't need a tinted clear.

  • sick paint..

  • Great video! Seems funny....2:30 all the pretty yellow gets candied over ( I guess thats candy, I dont know squat about painting) it almost seems counter-intuitive. But, I cant argue with the end results. Simply awesome.

  • Simply awesome bro!!! Some of the very best realistic fire I've seen and I've seen a LOT!

  • Thanx for the inspiration Jason and keep posting your art men. it's amazing what u can do w/ some knowledge like this, thanx for sharing and letting us know how its done!

did u get burned when u finished it?

    Regards!

  • damn i wanted too throw some sossages on that. nice work, real depth.

  • Wouldent mind seeing you airbrush a large scale piece on a car bonnet , would turn ppl's heads

  • gorgeous flames

  • it looks like its on fire good job

  • love incubus and also your flame work

  • blimey that really is the right way, it lokos so real.

    awsome and inspiring.

  • After reading about Boyd's death I see where they refereed to the Chip guy who I now find is a true master when it comes to designing street rods.

  • I would loved to see this in clear coat! Very nice!

  • B-E-A-U-TIFUL :)

  • I saw many way to create real flames, but this is the greatest. Verrrry great

  • pistola by Incubus

  • wtf dude,

dont do it on your own way do like ike lavalee, dont thry to do it on your own way,

  • no u can shut the fuck up because his way iss fuking awesome and he can do what ever way he wants because its his style of true fire just like how i do my own style thats different from others. We dont all need to paint true flames mike lavalles way even though there very good so dont tell ppl what 2 do!

  • Ever heard of english??????

  • what does that mean?

  • Paint used is red, yellow, orange and light yellow or off white tinted with yellow. Candy's used red, orage(tangerine)and yellow(pagan gold)USE RED BASE TONE DOWN WITH RED CANDY.USE YELLOW BASE TONE DOWN WITH ORANGE CANDY.USE LIGHT YELLOW BASE TONE DOWN WITH YELLOW AND SOME ORANGE CANDY.HIGHLIGHT WITH OFF WHITE TINTED WITH YELLOW. THEN CLEAR.

  • moly orange. not red. under red candy.

  • You know nothing!!!!!!!!!1

  • thats for sure a good way of doing em bro , they look sick!

  • Nice work bro...cool vid too.

  • probably not smart

to put flames next to a gas tank

  • Have you seen the YouTube video with the airbrush artist (Manuel Morales) on a Budweiser commercial? Pretty good looking artwork...

  • Dude...are you him?? Cause you put this comment up a lot?? Thats like 30 years ago....let go.

  • awesome job! i really liked the song. what's the name of it?

  • Cant really tell whats going on. Flames look good but too fast to really show any technique.

  • Could you please slow down the time lapse video so I can actually see what you are doing?

  • thats what i call art!

  • Awesome work, great flames!!
