It's sad what happened to her. She self-medicated off of drugs which is what a lot of people do. A lot of people have a mental disorder and don't even know it.
It doesn't matter when or how you came to hear her music, the important thing is that you discovered it...and what a beautiful thing it is to discover! That is what a real fan should only care about.
I loved her work before she died and I love her now. She was a beautiful, gifted woman who would have done so much more had her life been longer. Her aura radiates experience and sadness, with a certain joy, as well. She is a delight to watch and to listen to. I am truly sorry we won't have any more of her music in this lifetime.

According to Dr. Drew, you can't actually Die from alcohol withdrawal. If she did indeed buy ecstasy, ketamine, and cocaine the night before...well that says it all. Her father seems to be in denial, saying she was 'clean' for three years. Please...the World has lost a Beautiful singer and songwriter....
@LadyToYou If Dr. Drew did in fact say that you can't die from alcohol withdrawal, he is absolutely wrong. Alcohol is one of the most fatal substances to detox from and if not handled properly WILL kill you. Alcohol depresses the central nervous system; when someone is an alcoholic it completely shuts down. When alcohol consumption is stopped too abruptly, it will result in symptoms that include anxiety, life threatening seizures, delirium tremens, hallucinations, shakes and heart failure.

She wouldn't have done that without telling someone...anyone; in her camp, her friends, etc. Being that she bought all those drugs the night before seems very likely that she wasn't withdrawing from anything. Too bad, she was fabulous, but we must not drink the kool-aid that her father wants to spew now. No way she was 'clean' for 3 years, he has lost a grip on reality.

@cousinbecky she did know and she didnt change. she didnt want to and thats just how it is. she was ment to die this way. on the bright side she died from back exstacy. exstacy makes you feel like your always happy and lovey dovey. just a great mood, and thats what she loved to do most. so she died in a loving peicfull state doing what she liked best. sad. @swiyyahnm She actually died of alcohol poisoning, she had been off of drugs since 2008. I agree still very very sad though.
