WHOA! This was AWESOME! I bet you feel so LUCKY to live there! And those ships are HUGE! The only thing we can do around HERE is go down to the Great Salt Lake to watch the brine shrimp.. float. LoL!
The weather and everything else was right about that day! I took so many pics and video on the ferry and Manhattan. I rode the ferry 4 times, mainly for the pictures, and had 3 beers on the boat.(the one form of transit that allows beer). I'm surprised this video did not come out more unsteady than it already is ! LOL
I keep trying to get there! I finally decided to go, booked tickets and had things arranged to stay with a friend. Her father died two days before my trip there. She had to fly out, so I had to cancel. One day I'll get there! :-)
The boat was off service that day, but it does look like a fresh coat of paint. I like the new boats, but am also glad a few of the older ones are being used.
Enjoyed this Arthur. A few decades ago when I was a young bride, we left from Pier 42 on a ship bound for Norway. I don't know if they even take passengers across the ocean anymore. Mostly southern cruises now. Took us 10 days to reach Norway. Thanks for bringing back some great memories which I have on 8mm film.
my cousins live there (:

I wish those boats used Solar and Wind Generators and a electric motor. I don't like all that pollution coming out of those stacks. Good Vid +5

Such a pretty view. Those cruise ships are huge when you see them in person! Thanks for sharing. :)

The cruise ships are so different on video. When I go to Key West, the ships are right next to the pier and BAM ! a huge wall!
You are right, so huge in person.

Quite a bit of traffic on the water. I love that you showed the old John F Kennedy ferry boat. I have made many crossings on that old boat.

Thanks for sharing the story.
10 days!!! I doubt many paople would tolerate that nowadays. The Queen Mary 2 sailed across the Atlantic, but I don't know if that will be repeated.

Splendid sightseeing tour for us.
