It's not directly J-Core. It's Hard NRG with much BPM. I'd personally label the style as Freeform Hardcore, due to the high BPM. J-Core is just a caption for all the Hardcore Techno produced in Japan.

just my opinion but when compared to the manga the anime was just a pantyfest i dont think there was a single episode of the anime that didnt have a pantyshot and all the girls were just plain obsessed with tsukune at least in the manga it allows the reader to connect with them more emotionally than what happened in the anime
