I have a new graphics card I'm trying to install into my Alienware.. Thing is when I plug in every thing then turn it on the screen stays black and nothing. Any suggestions to fix this?
i have a micro atx case in a mid tower atx case but da pci slots and da case slots dont look like its allign correctly is dat was supposed to look like cuz yours too like kinda like mines how its allign
I just bought alienware monitor Optx 2210 1920x1080 resolution, current graphic card is ati radeon HD 5700. What would be a good upgrade to support my new screen. my pc is intel i5 with 4gb ram
My monitor doesn't recognize my computer. I got this computer from a friend but I switched motherboards and processer. Everything is hooked up but monitor still doesn't recognize the comouter. Any idea as to what is wrong?
@Karan1223333 maybe later but...perhaps the motherboard has an integrated video card and when you put that the OS not found it cause you are using the other. The video card is in conflict with the onboard video card.
So go to setup and in bios configuration change the preferences an in onboard chipset or video card i can´t remember well (i´m an average PC user not a pro) just change it to "no" or "off"...and thats all...chek the PCI if it is available. install again the video card and see...
I installed my graphics card and the drivers but after restart my icons and other stuff are very big and i cant get them back to small and i also got drivers from the nvidia site.HELP thanxs. Its a ASUS 9800 GT Ultimate.
I have a problem with my graphics card .... My graphics card is Nvidia GeForce 8600gt .... When I plug my monitor into the graphics card, it will show the sentence as no signal ... What should I do :( ..... i'm malaysian
You know most people think these are hard. but when you watch these videos its not all bad! I need to get me a good pc. Btw do you think this will run Arma 2? Just wondering
@tokorev747777 Honestly, if you are looking to play games like ARMA, I'd look into a 400 or atleast a 200 series. These will give you much more value and last alot longer. The 460 is an incredible value and will last for quite some time.
However, the 9000 series should play ARMA effectively, the 9800 is only like 112 on newegg.
@tokorev747777 Yeah basically just figure out what your budget is, and look around for some reviews on cards in that range. Newegg is and EGGcellent (lol) place to look.
i dont really have "technology hands". im verryyy cautious when handling electronics. sooooooo kinda looks lik u sorta bent ur new nvidia card, but was it broken or anything???

Hey bro word of advice not being mean but your heatsink is facing the wrong way the fan should be pushing the air through the heatsink and exhausted out the case (ive got the same cooler) you don't want the airflow to fight message me for any help bro.
I just got a ATI FirePro v8700 and I was able to install it, but when I turn on my computer it says that I need to hook the card up to the power source. I found the plug on the card where I need to attach the power source, but I don't know how. I have a 650 watt power source but I'm not sure where to attach the video card to it.
EVGA 512-P2-N738-LR GeForce 8400 GS 512MB DDR2 PCI-Express Graphics Card. this is the card i am getting next week for my windows XP. i hope that it works good for call of duty games. thats basically the reason why im getting a new one.
@TheLastHigh123 it will run call of duty if you play at 10X1 if you want to game you better get used to 640X480 and settings low. i had a 9400gt and it barely played it at 1024X768 on medium settings
@TheLastHigh123 Yeah like NOXXism said. You won't be able to play on many games on high quality. I recommend getting a GTX 260 or 280 if your on a low budget.
@erikblazer13 yeah i know what integrated means. well if you say that there integrated to the motherboard and replace you motherboard with and gefore gpu on it and gpu stands for graphics processing unit
