  • If friend the mio has the same problem and they said to me that it is the tape Flex, the problem esq is costly due to the fact that this telephone uses 2 and one this one connected to the chamber dierctamente

  • make a soft update will work 100% i had the same problem like you and i  fixed up

  • buy a flex cable --just 6 euro (not original)or 40 euro original

  • just make easy hard reset but the phone must me fully charged.Tohard reset it use that code *#7370# and then anter the second code 12345 or it isn't that code see in manual.And after the reset you see that problem again.Maybe the problem from the slider or the LCD display cable.Try to restarted it will maybe take effect.Or try to upgrade your firmware from nokia site there is write how to do that but read carefully.Sorry for bad english!! I hope that information was helpfull:) :)

  • Guys I have studied alot into this problem. I not only did find the problem but i found the soulution too. It IS the ribbon cable. And you do not have to get a new cable. There is a way to fix it. If you want help on this ask me. I will do a video with my own N95 if you want. It has nothing to do with the firmware.

  • Thi is a very easy fix its only a flex ribbon cable about £8 online to buy the old flex ribbon on they has just worn out thats why it work then it dont lol

  • i would asume that as the connection for the screen is just behind the navigation bottons there is a lose connection on the ribbon so has you push the botton you disturb the connection or the ribbon has a crack in it or something,just an idea thats all!!!!!!!!!

  • Well, mine was under 4 weeks old at the time, so it was still under it's warranty. Nokia fixed it, no charge.

    Actually, it's been nearly two years now, and my N95 is behaving absolutely great. Despite the drops and falls, I never had a problem again, so OBVIOUSLY what I wrote 2 years ago was true, it was a faulty part.

  • el telefono es real, yo tengo uno igual, y tiene el mismo problema, al principio pense que era la pantalla, pero ahora creo que es el flex, porque ocurre al presionar los botones del pad.

  • this is NOT a REAL n95, because the back of the phone need to write : Noka N Series, but on this phone , didn˙t write.

  • Maybe he changed the Original cover because it was damaged or something, and then he wanted to buy a new one, but they are pretty expensive so maybe he bought a Unoriginal one cause there Cheap

  • i had same problem, took it apart (use youtube videos)remove dust from main ribbon, (the one that moves with the slider, not the one below the sreen), and if the ribbon has come apart, (made from 2 sections, the ribbon and a cover) tape back together after you have removed dust and put phone back together, it removed it from my n95 and it ony took about 10mins

  • waht the fuck, flex is the flat wire that connects the lcd to the fone's motherboad. .why did you people ask for a simple questions. .just go to the nokia care center and report the problem in your fone. .dumb ass. .

  • I think ist main flex (ribbon). Its a part of slide assembly and must be changed under warranty. NCP change whole slide assembly.

  • try doing a master reset and then update the firmware, i had this problem with my n80 and now it works fine.

  • That looks like something wrong with the graphics card in the N95. I'm sure it's covered under Nokia's warranty.  Unfortunate though, sure hope that doesn't happen to me. Water damage?

  • There was no damage of any sort. I got the phone back after 14 days in service. They had to replace the screen, but other than that the phone is still the same. I'd rather get a phone replacement all together. It's working fine now, but for how long?
