@sorchstroken It wouldn't need to, distortion of the long slender beams and the resulting variations in length from beam to beam, would culminate in the upper floors subjugating the now weakened support structure of floors 93 through 101 of the north tower, to loads beyond their capacity to bear. The south tower would have suffered the same type of structural failure as the north, but centered between the 78th and 84th floors rather than 93rd and 101st.

Your comments ignore the kinetic energy being imparted on successive floors and the entire structure. It wasn't designed for those instantaneous loads/shocks. With concrete reinforced steel core columns, the building is severely damaged, but it likely doesn't collapse.

Once the upper 20-40 floors falls 10-12ft onto the next floor, you have a dynamic process of shocks/jackhammer. Example: You weigh 200 lbs and stand on your coffee table. It supports your weight. You now jump from a height of 6 ft onto the coffee table. The table collapses because of the shock from release of potential energy converted to kinetic energy.

I've wondered something. I've heard it said that explosives were going off in the building during collapse- said by the conspiracy theorists. Okay, how do you get THAT much explosive in a tower that had 25,000 workers DAILY- TWICE??? I mean come on, not a single person out of 50,000 wouldn't have seen an explosive device being placed in the building before 9/11?? What about the World Trade Center security? I still have no idea what to think because people tell me the bottom exploded before the rest of the building, some people say that our government let this happen because they may have known it, but if that is the case why would any government want to kill their own people unless they are communist or a dictatorship. Those steel bar's inside the buillding wouldn't have even been touched by the airplanes entire body; but if it somehow did, it wouldn't have been strong enough to damage them AND make the buildings ENTIRE steel-bars burn/melt and "give way". The gas and what not? Those were not strong enough nor hot enough to MELT steel.

Also a steel framed building cannot melt and has never melted by a fire in such a short period of time in history. In over a hundred years this record was broken three times (Building 7) in one day (911) also another record was set; all three planes evaporated on impact of there crash. Many planes have crashed in history.

The 47 16" X 32" steel core columns were hollow, and most of them were accessible from the elevator shafts. There was a major elevator renovation project going on in the 6 months before 9/11.

WTC never imploded. Jet fuel can melt steel since it can reach 4000 degrees. But was there melted steel at wtc. NO. temperature was hot enough to make steel maluable. 1500 degrees is good enough.

As the towers were being built, the construction workers applied asbestos to the main steel beams on the first six floors. The government panicked, and being the great architects that they were, the government ordered the construction crew to continue and build the main beams "naked. " When the planes hit, full of jet fuel, the iron and steel beams, which are a wonderful conductor of heat and electricity, caused the main beams to become hot and collapse from bottom to top!

@sorchstroken It wouldn't need to, distortion of the long slender beams and the resulting variations in length from beam to beam, would culminate in the upper floors subjugating the now weakened support structure of floors 93 through 101 of the north tower, to loads beyond their capacity to bear. The south tower would have suffered the same type of structural failure as the north, but centered between the 78th and 84th floors rather than 93rd and 101st.

Your comments ignore the kinetic energy being imparted on successive floors and the entire structure. It wasn't designed for those instantaneous loads/shocks. With concrete reinforced steel core columns, the building is severely damaged, but it likely doesn't collapse.

@sorchstroken Your explanation is flawed. At the initial failure points, steel beams are damaged by impact and weakened by fire. Once the upper 20-40 floors falls 10-12ft onto the next floor, you have a dynamic process of shocks/jackhammer. Example: You weigh 200 lbs and stand on your coffee table. It supports your weight. You now jump from a height of 6 ft onto the coffee table. The table collapses because of the shock from release of potential energy converted to kinetic energy.

All of these conspiracy theories on 9/11 have been easily debnked - check the debunk sites which have REAL data, the FULL UNEDITED interviews with the witnessses the conspiracy side edits - for instance MANY steel buildings in the world (and US) have collapsed strickly from fire - the puffs of dust on each floor are from the collapsing floors above - where do you thing all that air went - down shafts and cable runs - almost all engineers agree with the official findings - including this one.

@wellifthemediasaysit You are looking at the wrong bebunk sites - WTC7 was badly damaged on one side and set on fire from plane debris and the collapse of WTC1 - The fire dept. announced well before that it had been damaged and could not remain standing. How much explsovies do you thing it would take to bring down WTC1&2 - no one noticed workers working for months drilling holes and planting explosives - get real. Fires burned for 2 months in the debris like a blast furnace melting metal.

nano-thermite has been found throughout the WTC dust! This highly energetic substance was developed by top military labs in the 1990's for uses including high explosives and even specifically for triggering demolition explosives. The ONLY explanation for it's presence is controlled demolition. There has never been a better time for a real investigation that follows proper procedures such as those defined in NFPA 921 - more than 1200 architects and engineers agree!!

No it hasn't.
Jones found traces of elements that are used in thermite, but in lots of other things as well. They were not in the correct proportions for thermite, and the essential biproducts of a steel/thermite reaction (Aluminium Oxide and Barium Nitrate) were not present either. Without these, the possibility of a thermite attack is virtually zero.
Sorry to disappoint you, but that's life.

@16shapeshifter You obviously haven't read the paper, titled "Active Thermitic Material Discovered in Dust from the 9/11 World Trade Center Catastrophe" - there's pictures of nano-scale rhombic iron oxide grains held together in a well mixed configuration with nano-scale aluminum platelets and X-Ray pictures confirm the location of each element. These are not just the ingredients, but are the ingredients in a highly reactive configuration that is NOT found in "lots of other things as well"!!

All conspiracy theories are backed by small numbers of maverick academics: Jones and his friends are analogous to Germar Rudolf and Walter Lüftl in the Holocaust controversy. They are undoubtedly experts, and their credentials are impressive. But scientists are just people, and are just as susceptible to bias and hidden agendas as anybody else. The trouble is, they are able to take advantage of the highly technical nature of their work...

I am not qualified to refute the nanothermite claims, and indeed I cannot disprove anything these people have said. But I am deeply suspicious of their motives, and until these claims are proven, I remain skeptical.
