is it just me or "peck" sounds like "pack"??? It's difficult to learn english because many words have the same sound... is there any way to avoid these mistakes?
@KoeniggseggCCX I agree with you. Vowels are often the toughest to differentiate. Hearing the difference comes with time and lots of exposure. Also, context helps out a lot. You won't ever "peck" your clothes in your suitcase. :)
@ESLbasics I got it. I'll keep training my listening and find a way to training the spoken english too. Sometimes on the weekends I listen to some US radios, but they talk so quickly that I can't understand them =( anyway I won't give up!!! Yes, definitively I can't "peck" clothes into a suitcase =D
@KoeniggseggCCX U.S. radio is great practice. I also recommend watching English movies without subtitles. It gives you lots of exposure to language, with visual aids right in front of you. :)
@KoeniggseggCCX Your english is nice. it's tough learning a new language, I'm in French in high school and it is so hard! reading and writing aren't too hard, but speaking and especially understanding french are impossible. what's your first language?
@procrastinator300 Hey thank you. I can read and write in English with no difficult, but when I try to speak...... omg it's a disaster! LOL
My listening isn't good too, I have difficulty with words that have similar sound.
I'm an I.T. college student here in Brazil, so it's essential in technology field to know English well. But it's not easy, I don't have friends which I could practice my English with so everybody around me knows only Portuguese (my native language).
at first I thought, what are you doing that's too slow! but then I realized this is pronunciation practice for english learners haha

@procrastinator300 That's hilarious! That's a common comment I get on my videos. There's a reason I'm talking in simple, slow terms. :)
