I can only take so much of their music until i have to turn it off and think. Think about what i just heard. Think about the words, and everything in them. I dont even have to try to feel it because it already hits me.
whoa. I do not like this style of music. I got bored with it four years ago and stopped listening to it. But man...this song really moved me. Can we just forget about genres and labels? Can we just listen to a piece of music with a clear mind and throw aside all our pretensions? Because I just tried it, and I found a gem.
@WhitepawsProductions i can see that elements of "pop-punk" but not "pop punk" maybe like a "post-pop-punk" if that makes sense, but this too negitive sounding and not really upbeat but gots a catchy beat at points in the song.
This song is the shit... it's the best song on the album. At the end when the guy who shot the kid is like "Will I ever go to heaven...etc." It's like a huge a gravity felt from the human condition... lack of knowing why were here and what happens when we die.... and if sin is real, and do we suffer for it when we die, or is there just nothing....?
The lyrics really hit me. If you live near/in Detroit, and that is all you see on the news, it is easier to picture it as you listen to this song. It's extremely morbid, but it's still a good song.
Wow... this band and album is so freakin' good! And those lyrics... i'm getting chills all over my body as I read 'em while listening to the song. All the songs on that album have incredible lyrics. Best discovery of the year.
@Necropedocoprophilia are you really that big of a fucking cunt to make so many assumptions about someone you literally know nothing about? lolololol talk about being a fucking pussy xD
@sexhaie lmao look at my comment and please point out where i called anyone a faggot? epic fail. im pretty sure i've won both arguments with you cunts. continue listening to your whiny bullshit
@TheDallyLama /facepalm, i never implied you called anyone a faggot, i'm implying you are acting like a so-called "faggot" but acting like an air-headed, arrogent newfag.

Richuglover 2 months ago in playlist Favorite videos
@Richuglover not to be rude, but this nowhere near "pop punk", this is screamo with elements of old-school post-hardcore.

@WhitepawsProductions It sounds like pop punk to me;o
Richuglover 2 months ago
@Richuglover It's close to being the direct opposite of pop-punk. Whatever, at least you agree that it's good.

They lyrics are pretty direct and right in your face, but the way they execute those lyrics makes this song very special.

This is probably their (La Dispute's) most emotionally heavy record. Doesn't hit me quite as hard as Vancouver does/did.
