I remember when I was about 6 or 7, my brother was playing rugby and he got dog-piled. His right ankle was snapped in several places from the amount of awkward weight that landed on his leg and he ended up in the hospital and had to get a metal plate grafted to it so he could heal. I think this was the soul purpose of me never entering something as stupid as rugby or football. Playing almost gurantees an intense injury within your lifetime.

I don't believe Theisman's saying he felt no pain.  It has been devastating for my son and he still has major pain 3+ weeks later (and nightmares of hearing the snap and seeing his leg). I'm a Cowboys fan, and I gotta tell ya, I remember watching this game back in 1985 and I was so sad for Theissman and the Redskins. Yeah, you root for your favorite team, but you never wish for a great player to be hurt like this. Even though he played for our division rival, I had great respect for him and the Skins. This was a horrible moment for football.
