The antennas you can see from all over are the cell phone towers/Clear towers they flash because the flight path from planes leaving McCarren go over there I assumed
Ahh.. I loved seeing this. I used to live right on the side of Black Mountain. Literally. I used to walk to the Jack in the Box right on the side all the time.
Today is February 20, 2008, and my buddy and I climbed to the top. The white flag has been replaced by an American flag, but this great video let's others see the magnificent views we saw today, and another way to view the fabulous Las Vegas Strip.
The climb was tough, and the hike down, with legs like rubber, was just as tough, but it was worth it.
I really enjoyed this video. I have lived here for almost 20 years and have always wondered what it looked like up there. It is more beautiful than I had imagined. The first spring that I experienced here Black Mountain was covered with little yellow and white wild flowers from the top all the way down to what used to be a little traveled two lane road. What a beautiful mountain. Nice job on the video. Thank you so much for sharing it.
Turn Left on Shadow Canyon. Follow this road for about a 1/2 mile and you'll see a small parking lot on the left. Park Here: It fits about 6 cars and the trail begins there.
I live there! lol. This video made me BUST up laughing! Good stuff. And cool, a geocache!! I've gotta go there one of these days...

I looked at black mountain for 8 years of my life, then I moved. I kinda miss it.

it's all depends which down trail you take. Some trails are more treacherous than others.

Black Mountain is fun to climb, but the trip down can be a nightmare. We practically had to go down our asses because most of the trail is gravel.

I moved out of Henderson now, but I am glad that so many people like my film.

Where's the Slovakian music? Does the white flag mean you surrendered to Mexico?
