My Collies love to swim, especially my eldest one, but if he jumped in that pool all the water would come out he's that fat...bless him.

My boarder collie hates out pool too. She'll drink out of it when it's closed though... and it's been closed for a few years.

I have a Border Collie cross Hunterway and he'll dive under the water and fetch sticks and rocks but if we try to wash him he freezes and starts shaking. I can't understand it he'll fully submerged himself in the river but hates having a wash lol

My Border Collie absolutely loves water. Any opportunity to swim and he'd take it.

My bordy hated water too and so we trained it. We often went to a river and all his dogfriends

jump into the water. Now sometimes he swim and enjoy it.

How funny. My BC 'daddy dog' loved water. His son loves water. His daughter, not so much. So I swim with the son and have actually started him one Dock Diving. He hasn't figured out that you can run and jump off the dock in to the pool. so he runs down the dock, stops, than jumps. He can flat-foot an 8 foot jump. He will fetch anything.

Thanks! I think he has caught on to that, haha. Ozzie really likes swimming in lakes, ponds, etc. but not our pool. He'll go in his own kiddie pool, though. I think it's because he likes to have an area where he can touch- he can't touch the ground in our pool.

@shaniahb70 btw not all BCs are smart. Mine chases my brother around coz he used to be a sheepdog and he thinks mah bro is a sheep because hes the smallestof the family.
