dds is better because with a d defender, it is more accurate than claws if you use all the same gear, but if you add the +8 slash bonus for warrior helm and ring, then claws are at the same accuracy and 3 higher strength points. If you have the (i) rings, claws will be better hit chance, but a dds is going to hit higher under most conditions. I vote dds.

Well claws are better for pking since they always hit 2x the amount of the first hit, for example 400 - 200 - 100 - 100, see how they work?

But for normal damage dealing then I'd say the dds is better since you can sometimes get very lucky with a special and it only uses 25% of the special, personally I use both when I pk.

I deal damage with 2 dds specials until they're low hp, then I finish them off with a claw spec.

They are in some what equal. The dragon claws would be for rushing in pvp your opponent wouldn't have much time to react due to the speed, but its not as good in other circumstances... Like as if you were having a 1v1, training, or something similar, you would want the dds because it can deal more damage using less special energy.

wow you dont get it, claws deal more damage, in one hit claws do more damage than a dds, although dds has more specs, also dds fails on people with armor unlike claws, fighting somebody with no armor is a useless test which doesnt work. claws deal so much damage in a short amount of time in pvp its hard for your opponent to eat food quick enough, dds takes 4 hits to do same damage as claws do in two hits, that is an advantage that can decide victory or loss in a pvp match

@sony13vaio you obviously don't know what you're talking about. with d claws the second hit of the special is always half of the first hit, and the 3rd and 4th hits add up to the first hit so it would do like 20-10-5-5 which is the same thing as a 20-20 with a dds, except dds can do that 4 times, poison them, and can be more accurate with a rune defender. and d claws also fail against armor just like any other weapon... so wtf are you talking about

Dds is better to be honest. They hit more damage overall with the whole spec bar. The only reason people like d claws is because the spec is faster than dds but if they fail the spec, dds almost always wins.

Well, it depends on what u are killing, iv you are in PvP, claws are the best, because the "Victim" won't even be able to react, but if you just want a fair rune fight, (Which is funnier) you use dds, because whip will protect over claws lol.

but if the first hit of the claws wont fail it will be:40-20-10-10(80damage)

the claws only need the first hit to hit to hit good(lol)

while the dds needs both hits to hit.

and even if the claws miss the 1st hit, the second hit still has a chance of hitting meaning that there are 4 attempts to hit^^

dds: stab: +40 str +40

rune defender stab: +20 str: +5

d claws: slash: +57 str: + 56

So d claws have more str but dds is more accurate. Of course, I would use claws over dds in most situations but dds still has some use. Plus, you don't really have to use rune defender with dds, you could use d [] or dfs.

The hits also get more likely to hit the more 0s u hit. Also, claws are stronger then than a dds with a strength bonus of +56 while a dds is +40 or +47 with dfs.
