  • the triumph of obvious, the pioneer of ????what???

  • very ordinary

  • @serverir

yes, by now, but remember, Klaus Schulze is a pioneer

  • AS BRILLIANT TO MY EARS AS YOU WERE IN 1977. VIELEN DANK !

  • He is the synthesizer God. God invented the synthesizer for Klaus Schulze; and no one else.

  • Wow. Talk about being there, being a piece of history. It's like being at Woodstock, or in Berlin when they tore down the wall (and Ray-gun had nothing to do with that. He was just an actor/opportunist with a good publicity department.)

  • Oh ! Oh ! Oh ! Absolutely superb ! tRANCEnDENTAL ! 55555

    many thanks, danke !

  • Amazing.

  • fucking hell...gear, anyone?

  • One of the greatest composers alive.

  • just fantastic! love this...

  • In October 1977, he gae a FANTASTIC concert in Brussels at the SS Michael & Gudule Cathedral. The best ever ! The indicator lights one can see at the beginning are from his big sequence, the "Big Moog", sometimes called "The Wardrobe", in Brussels... :-)

  • fuckihg brilliant HAS KLAUS ever played in england' he would be fab l,make a bit of money,, uk fans would love to see klaus, why doesnt come my love

  • Moogtique rules!

  • It sounds like Trance lol

  • @DjAotaka And this was the beginging...The was the pionier of ...Trance music...

  • Those were the days to be certain!!

  • Amazing artist electronic music,This is art of sounds.KLASSE*********

  • Klaus Schulze has recorded over 100 albums (I believe) and I have only heard about 15 of them. Pure genius, I think "Timewind" and "Blackdance" are the greatest electronic albums ever!

  • @fretboardyoda Well, those albums are great, but I prefer Moondawn and Body Love of those times. I strongly recommend some things of the long-time colaboration with Peter Namlook "Dark side of the Moog", series. You will find many gems on that dozen of albums. The same with the extensive compilation La Electronique Vie, you should dig into it. Klaus is definitely a huge influence in the electronic music, unfortunately a bit underrated in comparison with Vangelis or Jean Michel Jarre, though...

  • @darksideofdarkness

    Yes, absolutely!

I picked up "Bodylove" (01) on vinyl recently, and I have "Moondawn" on CD, totally great. I have one or two of the "Dark Side of the Moog" series, I need to dig out my stacks of CD's and listen again. Nothing the man has been involved in is substandard. I'm not a huge fan of the "Dome Event'" CD's, they are O.K though!

  • Alucinante.

  • Toute ma jeunesse. Fantastique, merveilleux, toujours... Merci Klaus !

  • Fantastic.

  • this guy created trance!

  • JESUS CHRIST!!! CAN'T FREAKN BELIEVE THAT THIS WAS DONE IN 1977!! WAAAAAAYYYYY AHEAD OF HIS TIME!!!!

  • @relegaldesigns1 It's not ahead of it's time..... the fact is, musically, the world has gone backwards..... it has become a "product" not a piece of music. which is why people like me, dropped out of the whole music biz thing, and just do one off compositions.

  • @IIIIIShadeIIIII Absolutely right.

  • @relegaldesigns1 The video and audio quality is also exceptional. I wish Klaus had stuck with Froese longer!

  • TOUJOURS AUSSI BEAU !

  • Trance never die Klaus Schulze

  • whats the name of this song?

  • Danke Deutschland ...

  • @wapassou100 completely agree!!!, my friend!!!Danke Deutschland! : D

  • this is excellent KLAUS is the best of electronic music well done my friend 55555 ***********

  • Only 200000 people watched it?! I hope soon will be more...

  • zajebiste Filtrowanie!!!WOW

  • The way it was meant to be...live

  • Wow. Speechless. Words don't do justice!

This is where we should be at today. Musically and artistically.

    Instead it's all gone backwards.

  • Magnificent!

  • it looks so easy - but still sound so "fabelaktig"

  • @phantasmagoria0no It's relatively easy. You need a background in music theory, know how to play a keyboard, be an extremely deep thinker and have a gazillion dollars for the equipment! :)

---and lots and lots and lots of practice and sampling!

  • schulze, namlook and kraftwerk. thanks for the music bailout you krauts.

We own a huge debt to you

  • oooooooooooooohhhhhhhhh yes this is fantastic excellent i love it ****** 555555 bravo

Thank you very much für uploading! First Class!

  • Pure trance sensation.

Thank you, you are one of the very first.

    * * * * *

  • Fantastic.

  • Been a Schulze fan since the early 70's... People today seem not to have the patience required to let music "unfold"... bevviesanclips is right, no drugs required... music does it all! Thanks Klaus

  • I just discovered your music for the first time, and I'm in love :)

  • ein Stück Zeitgeschichte!

    Das waren die geilsten Zeiten!!!!!!!!!!

    KS+ TD

  • He's a genius :D

  • Hello everyone,

This is indeed sensational! I got the cd from Klaus called ``live``with 4 tracks.

This seems to look like one of them. sense with harald grosskopf on drums.

    51min! Listen to that. Greetings.

  • tanks

  • Was ein Aufritt, wirklich was zum Schweben. Für immer danke Klaus S.

  • beatifull....you like tim blacke new gerusalem?

  • WoW WoW

  • Here's the full video

  • magaria

  • This track is also on 2nd disc of La Vie Electronique 5.

  • @JeermynRex Yeah, right. This is for "For Barry Graves". I was wrong about Timewind. But has anyone else played it recently? First 2 min and around 8:20 - 8:40 sound very familiar.

  • Klaus Schulze is true genius and visionary. To create this masterpiece in 1975 and still sound like it came out in 2010 (35 years later!) is really extraordinary!

What is this track name? I know this is the 1975 album Timewind.

One more thing, I feel like it was remixed recently, but don't remember by whom. Can anyone help?

  • Just two words: awesome hypnotic

  • Da werden Erinnerungen wach. Einfach Wahnsinn.

  • MAESTRO genial manipulacion sonora, alucinante programacion modular !!!

  • scitsalcoryp tahnk you very much for the response...the track is very similar to sense 51 minutes long from live 1980 cd!!!

    many many thanks again!!!

  • Where appears this track,,What disc from Klaus Schulze is it???

I don't found this track!!! thanks!!!

    awesome!!!

  • @ferserk The song is entitled ' For Barry Graves ', and is only available in Klaus' massive 50 disc set ' Ultimate Edition ', in a slightly longer version .

  • This is what inspired Fenriz of Darkthrone to do Neptune towers.

  • he also drummed for Ash Ra Temple in the late 60's, as i recall, amazing musician/composer...i had many of his albums, all excellent...

  • Brilliant track, done during his artictic peek in the late 70's. Sadly, after he switched to digital, his work, well, wasn't as good...

  • Much better sound quality than what Klaus himself had published on his CD set.

Have a look at 9:43 - apparently he's being told to "wrap up" - how unfortunate, I'm sure he might have continued to play for another hour or so...

  • Listen this track "Klaus Schulze Berlin 1" here in youtube.

  • this man had always timeless ideas ...watch his steps in setting the track ...the result is amazing, clear analog sound ....i can´t believe it´s 33 years old

  • This man is god! Irrlicht walk with me...

  • Great clip. And awesome sound.

  • Still sounds amazingly contempory today...with some sequenced visuals even beter..5***** thanks ,,Miss P

  • From the Lyndon Libraries in his (LBJ)own words, "Now Robert(McNamara), see if you could set up a private line in my bedroom, like the one, like the one...". To which Robert replies , "well,... well...." Lyndon interrupts,"I suppose its against the ...."to which Robert interrupts. "Mr President, i think that....."to which Lyndon interupts"I suppose not, its just that every damn time......."

  • geil

  • Amazing - just amazing! Klaus is THE master of the synthesizer without doubt

  • Wonderful - and you got strong lugging all that analogue stuff about, lol - but the sound, well it was soo ahead of its time - it was years before Bomb the Base and especially Beloved ran with the whole trance thing during the 1990s.

  • This guy right here is the one who defined trance music. <3

  • Klause Schulze creates magic music in all of his compositions.

  • Klaus Schulze is God!

I think it would have been very interesting to see what Tangerine Dream would have turned into had Klaus stayed with them. : - )

  • @LUDWIGPARIS

Chances are there'd have been something of a power struggle between him and Edgar Froese.

  • My god, this is fabulous. I used to listen to Klaus growing up, reading Fafhrd & The Grey Mouser or Elric--the perfect background to fantasy. Who needs beer? Who needs drugs? This musik will transport you exactly where you want to go...

  • @bevviesandclips damm right mate!

  • Wow if they ever send a synth into space it will be named after you legend.

  • Incredible song. One of my favourites from KS. Ethereal.

  • No, he played drums on the Tangerine Dream debut-album "Electronic Meditation"

  • ich mag auch gern gurkenbrot

  • I still go back to this video all the time for inspiration.

  • Klaus Schulze - Live WDR Koln 1977: timeless brilliant. Look at the appearance of the master himself ... really end-seventy-years!

  • 03:30 Bassdrum please :D

  • @DJCallizto With all respect to the original composition (I own it too!), this was also the 1st thing that came to my mind, when I saw this YT clip.

I'm going to forward this to some Techno-friends I have, and hope some guy gets inspiration to add some greasy techno-beats.

    Timewind's sublow's are perfect!

  • omg - great sound !!!!!!!!!!

  • thank you so much for uploading this!

  • This would have never even made it on to TV in America. This is why Europeans rule.

  • please Use the past...

now we are all the same MTV gen :-/

  • Great Stuff. I just could see him once, in the early 80´s in the Gürzenich in Cologne!

Thanx for posting this Trip! LIVE LONG AND PROSPER :o)

  • Holy shit.... this is amazing

  • I love that lead sound. I wonder if I could achieve something similar on a Nord Lead...

  • Oh mann..how I love those ancient "cracle-boxes" and the dreamy synth music of his 70's works. Richard de Hove is the first I heard that comes even close...

  • "Epic shit" is the manner datari used, is a positive statement towards the video.. he's saying it is an epic video.

  • yea........ synth mania i like it

  • epic shit..!

  • @datari

    you know nothing

  • hey, das war 100% POSITIV gemeint !

you know nothing 'bout "internet-slang".. sorry

  • @datari O.K.

  • pure trance

  • Well, these are the roots of techno and much better than many techno music nowadays.

  • Wuuhhhh... So very nice. A total dreamscape.

  • Nice to see again - exactly this transmission was the first contact to KS - Receiver: 18 Tube homemade from reused / spare parts - oce tuned in - lights off - a second life...

  • great stuff Klaus ..i remember whe you drummed for Tangerine Dream ..i can hearTerry Riley being very proud of you too ....

  • The drummer's name was actually Klaus Krieger. This Klaus played for Tangerine Dream in the early '70's, not a drummer but as a keyboard player

  • Yes, he was also playing drums.

But this was much before Tangerine Dream.

    (there he was playing keys)

He was playing drums at "Ashra Temple"

  • @OtixIbiza: Sorry, not true, Klaus was hired by Edgar Froese specifically as a drummer because "he could hold an unusual rhythm over an extended period of time".

The only Album that Klaus recorded with TD is "Electronic Meditation". There, he is credited playing "drums, percussion, metal sticks".
