Just my opinion on Simons VA: I just personally think he could have had more emotion in that speech. It was such an integral part to the series and to the character Simon in general. This isn't about dubs vs subs, since one of my favorite epic monologues is Domon Kasshu's from G-Gundam (Dubbed even). Again...I just find the Japanese VA to be more emotional with the speech then the English one. Just my two cents.

Seriously, I really enjoy japanese more than english. Being non-english to begin with may have something to do with that. I just find a lot of dubs to be below par, either due to horrible voice actors, or horrible editing *cough*4kids. I just enjoy this anime with the english dubs. Anyone who specifically chooses either dubs or subs is a narrowminded idiot. See which you prefer and choose for each anime individually - anything else is stupid beyond reason.

I saw the Dub first, so to me the Dub is more epic. I like hearing "Who the hell do you think I am!?!" a lot better than hearing the Japanese with the subs to read. I've watched the movies subbed and they are good, but I think most of us tend to favor the voice cast from the first time we watched. (Konata from Lucky Star talks about this on one episode)

Personally, I felt Simon sounded more like a sadist in the Japanese dub, when he unleashed GDB. It's why I prefer it more to this. He sounded more of a bastard than when Kamina did it, and surpassed his GARness in that respect(exactly what Kamina had intended). Here he sounds like Freddie from scooby doo. For shame, the English voice had the right spirit but I'm used to imagining Simon to being more of a monster
